August 2010 Code watch

Just got a new PIN, the good for almost the whole year one!

Definitely register more than one email, price vacations, save them and check your junk mail!

Despite adding Disney Destinations as an ok sender this went to junk mail. Thankfully I saw it and have already applied the code to both of our rooms.

As we are a party of 9 adults (in Disney dining world anyways) the free dining is a slightly better deal for us even though we are 2 rooms at a deluxe, but not by much. And this gives us flexibility if our dates need to move at all which we didn't have before.

As a result we may actually skip the DDP this time...not sure.

We saved $2200!

Add me to the list of folks looking for an August discount. I got a pin a while back, but not for August.:sad2: Crossing my fingers...

Okay...just saved 3 offers for the dates I am looking at in August. Let's see what happens with a PIN...

I'm hoping to find a PIN for August aswell :(
And haha goofy mom, we're apparently going to Disney the same day :)

Looks like that makes 3 of us going on the 15th. Where are you staying? What type of rate/special do you have?

I'm only staying at Pop Century. I'm going with my friends and we will only be 18 :) Can't afford much more. Right now we have rack rate + dining. But there's a problem with the dining that we can't seem to get over right now :/ What about you?

Pop Century is a great place!!! Don't say "only"!! We are also booked at Pop for those dates. I booked it when I was there last month and with the bounceback offer I was able to get free dining. Right now there are 4 of us booked in 2 rooms. But, only 2 of us are definate. When the other 2 decide if thy are going for sure, then we will try to change to a suite at ASMu.

What is the problem with the dining? How many of you are going?

That is really cool! Pop Century looks really fun - we used to stay at ASMovies until our youngest was over 3. We love POR and the grounds are beautiful. Make sure you request ground floor if you are 'moving in' yourself at AB or have issues with stairs (I have a bad back and carrying DD6 up stairs at night does me in). My kids love the boat to DTD and the slide at the main pool. I have heard the piano? guy in the lounge is really good but we have never made it there yet. We stay in AB but the Mansions look really nice. It is very peaceful there and I love walking by myself early in the morning with my mug of coffee.

Both years that we have gone in August, we have been able to get a discount of at least 30% off the rack rate. Here is some pixie dust for you that you get a pin or free dining.pixiedust:
Is this your 1st trip?

Not mine, but for my girlfriend and my other friend, it's their first times. My first time without a parent though :) Thanks for the pixie dust :goodvibes Hopefully the same travels back to you :)

Ah, so here's the deal :( My grandparents went to WDW in October, and then they got us the bounceback offer. HOWEVER, CMs told them that someone that went in October, has to go in August if we want the free dining. The problem is, we can't get them to come because my uncle's getting married and they don't have the money for it. Also, 2 of my friends can't come unless we have the free dining, due to money problems. There's only 4 of us going, and we're doing everything to try and cut costs, but I guess Disney has rules right? :sad2:

We havea group of 12 planning from the 15th to the 22nd. DH and I are also staying at AKL in December just the 2 of us. If Disney offers us a bounceback - will it only apply to one room, since that is all we have in Decmeber? The big group we have going in August is hoping for 2 suites as Bay Tower.

You and your husband should be able to get 2 rooms since there are 2 of you.

Our "PLANS" are so confused right now....I am REALLY hoping to go in AUgust (did not book it as the bounceback as I thought we were headed back Oct...now looks like we'll be going in June (non disney, wedding trip) and then going AUGUST instead..>>>I HOPE we get SOMETHING...like FREE DINE or a NICE FAT discount!! :thumbsup2

How dumb was I? I let my bounce back offer slip by when I was at WDW Sept 1-12 this year. I let my husband talk me into "waiting at least another 3-5 years to return to Disney". Problem is...my son and I don't want to wait 3-5 years!!! We LOVE Disney and want to go back now!! I just booked us a Mom and Son only trip for August 21-28th and now am hoping for free dining to be offered in my time frame along with the general public! We are planning on staying at CSR, and a discount would be so helpful in keeping the costs managable for this trip. I hope we manage to get a discount of somesort, I shoulda booked that BB offer....kicking myself!!!! I am now waiting with baited breath to see what might be the discounts for August 2010!!!
