Happy Birthday Grahame, I hope your surprise is better than you are expecting!!!

Happy Canada Day to all my friends north of the border, and a
Happy 4th of July weekend to my friends in the States. Be safe everyone!!!

Happy 1000th post Lynda, here's wishing your thousands more!!!

Happy Birthday Grumbo!! And boy isn't it nice that Canada declared a holiday in honor (honour) of your birthday!!! LOL!!

Hope all of our Canadian friends have a happy Canada Day and hope all of us that are in the States have a good and safe 4th of July...we are supposed to get torrential rainfall all day Sunday and into Monday!! According to our weatherman, it has been since April that we have not had five days together without rain. Nice and sunny today but supposed to rain later on!

I'm in for the book swap also--like Nora Roberts, Mary Higgins Clark, Danielle Steele, etc.

kpgclark...I know you're on vacation but just let us know when you get back if we are still on for the Dis meet at King of Prussia on July 31st--if not, I am available and could still meet up with some at Allentown! Mary Jo

If you take a look at the Three Circles site at the "cruisers" page he did something special for the Canadians on the cruise :)

Cheers,
Grumbo

No problem! Check out the main page ( http://www.threecircles.net ) too! It's even got music! :)

Hope you have a great birthday!

Jason, you are just too clever. And thoughtful.

The nicest people are on the Dis.

Hey, whaddya say we do something nice for Grumbo on his birthday?

Maybe we can arrange for him to actually steer the ship for a bit during the cruise...

Happy Birthday Grumbo! Maybe the surprise is that she is going to Costco (you get you a present of course, and a few other "necessary" purchases) AND bringing your parents over. Now it's going to be a really long trip.

:cake: :cheer2:Have a glass of Zinfandel in our absence :drinking1

Happy Birthday, Grumbo!

Also, Happy Canada Day to all my fellow Canadians!:Pinkbounc :Pinkbounc

Jason, I love the tribute on your ThreeCircles.Net today. I wasn't expecting the national anthem, though! Reflex reaction - I jumped to my feet and stood at attention until it finished!:teeth:

It's a beautiful warm day here at 27 degrees (around 81 for those of you south of the border!) and lots of sunshine. We're grilling salmon fillets on a cedar plank for dinner, then heading out for a trip to our local ice cream store and fireworks in the park.

For my American Friends - enjoy your Fourth of July long weekend! (Question though - do you get tomorrow or Monday off work?) Just wondering, because the traffic headed for Niagara Falls is absolutely crazy on this side of the border. I can just imagine what it's like if the American holiday is tomorrow! I think I'll stick around Toronto!

I have Monday off as the Holiday, a nice three day weekend!!!

I think most get off on Monday (government does for sure), but a lot of people are making it a 4 day weekend and taking Friday off too. The interstate by home is already packed and it's just Thursday night. It's only going to get worse!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY GRUMBO!

HAPPY CANADA DAY!

HAPPY EARLY 4TH OF JULY!

Jason ~ Loved the Tribute!

Thank you Jason!

Happy Canada Day indeed! What a lot of work you went to for us few Canadians. That is so fun! We jumped up too.

Happy Birthday to Grumbo. Hope you didn't get the big thunder storms predicted.

Happy July 4th to all the USAs on Sunday.

Great birthday..
DW and DD brought up my parents and aunt and uncle. Had lunch and then did a cruise of our local lake, Lake Simcoe with supper onboard. Not quite the Magic but nice :)

Day started with terrible rain and thunder but is now beautiful. Swam this afternoon in the pool and been a wonderful day.

Photo of DW, DD and me with my cake :)

Cheers,
Grumbo

:bday: Grumbo!!!

In honor of this special day, I'm making my dinner with everything bought at Costco. Wait I do that everyday. Oh well, I tried.:p

I'm wishing you zinfindel wishes and Costco carrot cake dreams :cake:

Hey Grumbo, EH!!! Happy Birthday EH!!!

Grumbo could you do me a favor when you get the chance? Would you mind coming dowm here and collecting all your geese from the area. They're causing a lot of traffic and leaving little bits of canada all over the place...Mark

They're yours Mark.
Canada geese "look" so neat and noble. They are in reality living "turd makers on two legs".
Up here they have taken to going around sterilizing the eggs in nests, lacing feed to stop them from breeding and they are a pest. I know that there were a pile of them in Hyde Park in London, England. Due to the mess they were making they took drastic measures to get rid of the darn things.
Don't know if you've noticed that when the fly south in the winter we revoke their passports so they have to stay down there with you guys :)

Cheers,
Grumbo

Happy Birthday Grumbo!!!! Hope it was fantastic!!!

What a great picture of you and the family!! Thanks for sharing that with all of us!! One question though... What were the digits on those "number candles"? I was reading them as "11" and I'm pretty sure that is not correct, or I need a new pair of glasses!!!

Hope your birthday was as special as you are!!!:)

First off, a huge heartfelt thanks to all of you who offered up donations to make sure Ryleigh gets her cruise with you all. It was a wonderful gesture by all of you but alas, it will not be necessary.
I regret to inform you all that I am at the moment waiting to miscarry. I was told that I have a blighted ovum.... which means even though the egg was fertilized and ended up in my uterus, there is no baby developing. We are devastated. Weboth so want to be regular parents as well as special needs ones. It has been 6 years since Ryleigh was able to hug me or call me mama and we have learned to live with our loss. But it was so exciting to know that we'd have someone in our life that wold fill our void and also have someone to love Ryleigh too!
I found out on Tuesday but wasn't ready to open up yet.
I hate the fact that my belly is still growing and I've still got all the symptoms because there is a placenta. They want me to miscarry spontaneously but on Tuesday i am going to request a D&C. I have a child who needs me more than a usual child would and can't put her on hold any longer. It isn't fair!
So if we cruise in Auust 2005... it'll just be the 3 of us.... if we don't it'll be because I am too pregnant of the next one is too young! These would be the only "good" reasons for not joining you all.
But thanks again for all your kindness!
However, we'll still need the tub offers if we do cruise!
Hugs
Suzanne
