I received an e-mail late last night from someone that many DIS'ers know. I was given permission by this person to share this news. I just sent a copy of this PM to Grumbo, and he said I should share it on this thread for eveyone to see, so here goes:

I was told that I may give you the names of three more cruisers for the CA to FL 8-20-05 cruise. The first name is that of the one and only (banned from the DISboards) Buckaroo's Dad, along with his son Buckaroo, and Buckaroo's Dad's mother. They will be staying in a cat. 4 cabin. Buckaroo's Dad sent me an e-mail late last night letting me know he booked his ressie on Thursday afternoon around 1pm.

Wow I cant believe how many celebrities are going to be on this cruise. Verandaman, Rae and BD all on the same cruise - Look out this is gonna be one Heck of a good time!!

Oooooo..........If I am not mistaken, isn't the second Pirates of the Caribbean movie suppose to come out next summer. Wouldn't that be fantastic if it premiered on our sailing!!! pirate:

Hi, I just booked 2 guaranteed Cat. 9 (hopefully connecting!) cabins. It will be me, DH, DD (11 at cruise time), DS (8), and DD (4). :wave2:

It seems that I'm a bit late in posting, but I'll also be
"Bringing Home the Magic".

I am booked in a Cat 9 room 2560.

I think that I've been in shock the past few days, just so excited to be booked in my favorite cabin.

What would even be more AWESOME! Having the PreimEAR with no other than Johnny Depp and Orlando Bloom!

:faint: :faint:

This will definately be the Mother of All Cruises!LOL Even without Johnny and Orlando!LOL

BTW, there is a slight typo on the cruise list. I don't mind sharing my balcony for drinking purposes but I don't think I am sharing 7620 with Carolsherman!

Hi Andrew DEREK UK!

I was wondering if you were aware of the distances out west...the Grand Canyon is 276 miles from Las Vegas. You can do 75mph (or more....shhhh!) until you are nearly there, but speeds drop off to 40 or so on the road into the park, which is still a good distance to the rim. Last time I was there the roads were rough. It is definitely worth the trip though. I hiked about 80 miles of it when I was in college. It is awesome. You can be standing on the rim and still not believe that what you're seeing is real. Bring a camera with LOTS of film or an extra chip for your digital, lots of water, and hiking shoes (leave the flipflops and high heels at the hotel, especially if you go below the rim, you may laugh, but I've seen people hiking in these things, and it's HOT HOT HOT below the rim in August).

You will definitely have to rent a car to get from Burbank to DL. It's at least an hour drive from Burbank on a really good day without any traffic (and that never happens). You will have to drive through Los Angeles to get there and it can be a parking lot for miles and miles. My family refuses to fly out of LAX because of the traffic. Are you doing a tour of Walt Disney Studios or something? That's the only thing I can think of in Burbank! Have you considered Orange County airport (SNA)? It's much closer to DL!

Universal in LA was ho hum when I was there, but things could have changed. Knotts Berry Farm or Six Flags Magic Mountain are lots more fun, especially if you like thrill rides (and Burbank is a better home base for MM). There's LegoLand too.

Whatever you decide, I hope you have a wonderful time exploring our big beautiful west! :goodvibes

We will be there too in Cabin 2109. It will be me, my DH and my twins, who will be 11 at the time. My parents are also going and will be in cabin 6543. We also have 3 other families from our neighborhood going. This is going to be an amazing experience!!

DenverVal...I just pm'd you!

Grumbo...I pm you our information and just wanted to make sure that you received it..could you either email me or pm me and let me know. Thanks. Mary Jo

We are there too. DH, DS (15) and DS (12) and DM (78) and me. Right now we have a cat. 6 guarantee and a cat. 11 guarantee. Hoping to have them across from each other. Can anyone make 466 days go faster?

Just sent the $500 for DH and I to do the Ca > FL repo cruise!! YEAH!!! We are booked in cabin # 2080 cat. #9 and chose the early seating. We are planning to spend 4 days in DL before the cruise. I can't wait!!!!

Unfortunately we will not be doing the VM and Rae Birthday cruise as we had origionally planned. Our DD is getting married May 14th, 2004 and we just couldn't squeeze in the time or the money!!

I am so looking forward to this 14 nighter!! Hope we can plan an awesome DIS meet during the cruise!!!

I need to start a new count down timer!!!

The changes I hope have been made.
Scratch42 I think had 17 or 18 people sharing her cabin by my figures so altered that :)
Your loss Scratch. YOU could have been Party Central!! :)
I'm not able to add the new folks til I get home this evening but promise I will.

Cheers,
Grumbo

Okay I had a senior moment. DH pointed out to me that I put the wrong stateroom number down for our listing. We are in 7010 not 8010. We have late seating.
And a big hello to all the Pa. folks who are going with us. Hi Sarah'sMomfrom PA. We're just a bit south of you.
We are planning to spend the day before boarding at DL. I've never been but DH has so it'll be a really neat experience.
Estelle

Grumbo,

Just tried to send you a PM, but your mailbox is full (gee..... wonder why  )

If you are doing any updates to the list, we are in 8508 and have main seating.
