Is there anyway you can just add the option of the centre Survivor logo?
That way it is more generic for male or female. Does it cost anything to throw it up with Marsha's stuff on the Cafepress? Would look good on some of their stuff and totes etc with the Survivor logo.

Cheers,
Grumbo

Yeah! What you said!

A biology teacher wished to demonstrate to his students the harmful effects of alcohol on living organisms. For his experiment, he showed them a beaker with pond water in which there was a thriving civilization of worms. When he added some alcohol into the beaker the worms doubled-up and died.

"Now," he said,” what do you learn from this?"

An eager student gave his answer. "Well the answer is obvious," he said " if you drink alcohol, you'll never have worms."

:rotfl2:

They say plagarism is the truest form of flattery, and this was posted by Heathercat on the main page, but as I don't go there often, I missed it and thought some of you may have also. (Think that was a run-on sentence but oh well :) ).....

A lot is happening aboard the Magic and Wonder, and we have the latest news.

DRESS POLICY CHANGE

Jeans are now acceptable attire under the revised "Cruise Casual" dress policy. It is still requested that guests do not wear shorts, swimwear or tank tops to the dining rooms.

The attire is determined by the day, not the restaurant with the exception of Palo. The seven night cruise has a formal night, semi-formal night, pirate/tropical night and four "Cruise Casual" nights.

On the 3 and 4 day cruises there is one night where "dress-up" attire is requested. Men are asked to wear a jacket while ladies are asked to wear either a dress or nice pantsuit.

WEST COAST CRUISES

Disney Cruise Line is strongly recommending that all guests, including U.S. citizens, who are cruising aboard the Magic while it's based in California have passports. This includes guests who are on the two repositioning cruises.

For information in obtaining a passport, here's a link to the official government website . Please allow 6 weeks for processing. Expedited service is available for an additional fee.

TRANSFER POLICY/PRICE CHANGES:

As of 1/3/05 Disney Cruise Line has raised the prices of their transfers. The only exception is for land/sea package holders. The price has changed from $69.00 to $59.00 to reflect the new Magical Express program. THIS REDUCED PRICE ONLY APPLIES TO GUESTS TRAVELING FROM 5/5/05 THROUGH THE END OF THIS PROMOTION.

NEW SHOW ON THE MAGIC

An exclusive show is debuting on the Disney Magic. Scheduled for the first night, it follows the tale of a young cruise guest who dreams of becoming the ship's captain. Mickey, Minne and a host of Disney characters guide him on his journey of discovery.

Intertwined in this musical presentation are helpful hints and an overview of the events and activities that guests can enjoy during their voyage. The ship's officers will be introduced as part of this program.

PALO DRESS CODE

During dinner, gentlemen will be required to wear a dress shirt. Gentlemen wearing polo shirts, t-shirts, Tommy Bahama style shirts, etc will not be allowed admittance. Jackets and/or ties are still recommended but not required. Notices will be in the Personal Navigator, on the Palo reservation card and a sign outside the elevators on deck 10 will contain this dress advisory. The Resort Casual dress code for both the brunch and high tea remains unchanged.

CHILDREN’S ACTIVITIES

Andy’s Birthday Party (5-7 year olds) - It’s Andy’s birthday and you’re invited to join in the festivities. The kids will draw and color a picture of a favorite friend from “Toy Story”. There’s face painting and they can “Pin the Hat on Woody.”

Brother Bear (3-4 year olds) - Both instructional and fun, the little ones will learn the story of “Brother Bear” through a variety of activities. They’ll make bear masks, walk through the “woods” and play a memory game on the memory game wall.

Carnival Welcome Party (8-12 year olds) - Step right up and try your hand at a fun Carnival game. Ring toss and ping-pong toss are just a couple of the activities planned. No carnival is complete without face painting. It’s a great welcome that the kids are sure to enjoy.

Conversation with an Officer (8-12 year olds) - A fascinating look at careers at sea for the youngsters. They ships officers will explain his/her duties. It’s the perfect opportunity for the budding sailors aboard the ship to learn about the staff. Hands on activities are included as they learn marine knot tying.

Crabby Crafts & Island Arts (3-12 year olds) - Tailored to the different age groups, the kids will make crafts with a sea life theme. An ocean matching game is part of the fun.

Pop Stars Party (8-12 year olds) - Lights, camera, action! The kids will feel like VIPs as they have their close-up shot taken, make a videotape and leave their handprints on the wall of stars. A group photo is part of the fun.

Ocean Moves (3-7 year olds) - The little ones will have a ball as they’re led in exercises with a nautical theme. By imitating creatures of the deep, they’ll dance and move about in this fun activity.

Salty Sea (3-12 year olds) - With the specific age groups in mind, the activities in this science program are designed to teach the children how ships stay afloat. They’ll make their own salt water and learn about the dynamics behind flotation.

Stack Stars (teens) - Does your teen have a special talent? They can perform before the camera in this talent competition. The other teens can vote for their favorite “Cruise Idol.”

Toy Story Welcome Aboard Party (8-12 year olds) - Two of the most beloved characters from” Toy Story”, Jesse and Woody, will be welcoming the kids to the Oceaneers lab. An evening of “Toy Story” themed activities is planned.

The Captain’s Welcome Reception is now being held on deck 3. Character Greetings will take place at Preludes.

Diversions is now allowing smoking throughout the day in the bar area of the club. The exception to this policy will be when there are children’s programs scheduled in this area.

NASSAU DEPARTURE

STATEROOM TELEVISION

COFFEE MACHINE – PRELUDES PANTRY
For guests required to go through Immigration while onboard, a coffee machine has been placed at Preludes Pantry.

DISNEY MAGIC – CASUAL DINING
Casual dining in Topsiders aboard the Magic is now full serve instead of buffet at dinner.

HOUSEKEEPING
You can wrap yourself in an oversized bath sheet once the current towels are phased out and replaced. All linens, towels and bed pillows are being upgraded.

MERCHANDISE
Fans of the Golden Mickeys show will find statues and pins available in the gift shop.

Cheers,
Grumbo

Grahame--

I can add a design with just the center "survivor" graphic, no problem. Should it be on the back, as it is now, the front center, or the front left pocket area?

I'll look into adding it to the CafePress site. To be honest, I just think they're a bit too restrictive on how they run their site. Like only allowing one design per store unless you pay for it or open multiple stores. Too much of a hassel.

And actually, after looking at the prices again, Zazzle is very comparable to CafePress.

Wow. Thanks for the copied post, Grumbo!

DISNEY MAGIC – CASUAL DINING
Casual dining in Topsiders aboard the Magic is now full serve instead of buffet at dinner.

This kind of threw me though. We ate at Topsiders one evening for dinner and the meal was full service. The only thing that was buffet was a salad bar. :confused3

We saw this on the 10 day. It wasn't too bad. Not spectacular, but not bad really.

When did you go? I think they may have changed that a while ago last year.

I just want to be clear! Concerning the survivor t-shirt idea, this was actually Grumbo's vision. He mentioned it to me several months ago and I just started playing with it graphically yesterday. So, the root idea was Graham's and not mine. :)

Just don't want anyone to think I'm attempting to steal their ideas. :)

If it involves cost, don't worry about it kmiles. As for the survivor graphic, I kind of like the front left, or large back. However don't go to too much work. If its easy to do fine, otherwise I appreciate all you've done with this.

Cheers,
Grumbo

Yeah well I stole it from Mark Burnett so guess we're all thieves :rotfl:

Yeah! What he said!

Yippee!! UPS.com says my Chadwick's order is "out for delivery" i.e., on the truck and coming to ME!! I was able to get all the free things (except the grill) including the phone thingy and the 30% off AND the free shipping. I feel like a thief! I can't wait to see my Stuff. :goodvibes

I finally went to the doctor yesterday. 3+ weeks of being sick made me realize this wasn't going to go away on it's own. Both kids ended up on antibiotics after 3 weeks and now I have, too (I got sick almost a week later than they started). Doc says I have Bronchitis and that the local schools are having outbreaks of Whooping Cough and I might have that, too. Lovely. I wanted to Whoop it up on the ship not here in Chicago in March!! :cold:

kmiles said:
Pink is the new white. For now at least. :)

Haven't any of you noticed the resurgence of young men wearing pink again? Think Miami Vice. Just leave the white pants at home. :rotfl:
Actually I just read that white jeans for women are coming back. Men can't be too far behind!

kmiles said:
Now, does the Sisterhood want their own shirt?

Hey, gotta be fair about all of this. ;)
Yes! Yes! Sign me up! Thanx for offering! :teeth:

kmiles said:
The back room is up and running now.
Oh, I see. This must be where the brotherhood goes for all it's deal making and dot-thread deciphering. Hrmph!

kmiles said:
New shirt design for the Brotherhood on the other site. Check it out and let me know if there is any interest in maybe printing some of these off.

And thanks to Grahame for the original idea!!! :)
David will probably want one of these. Cool design, kmiles! Although I think DH is still sore 'cause he never got the dot-thread password. :charac4:

MARK: Get with it buddy! We still need the pic of the Barbie glass reposted and I am still waiting for answers on DVC and whether or not we need a car seat on the port-MCO bus. Methinks you have not been reading *all* the posts - bad, bad in my book!! :faint:

TRACY:Do all the wine tasting participants need to bring a corkscrew for their wine? Just thinking ahead for my packing list. Please let us know. Thanx!

Thanx for posting this Grahame! I don't get over there ether very often and missed this, too! Are "Cruise Casual" and "Resort Casual" supposed to be the same thing?

kmiles said:
OK, the Sisterhood now has a Survivor shirt as well. They're basically identical except for the color of the text.
Where can I see it? Thanx kmiles and Grumbo for all your work and ideas on these way cool shirts!

Great shirts kmiles. Looks like I'll have to break down and try to use Zazzle again. They just better not mess up this order!

For those that have dealt with Zazzle how is their sizing?
Do they fit small, large, or is the sizing given pretty well on?

Cheers,
Grumbo

:cat:

Nancy, I had the Whooping Cough many years ago. I was a newly graduated nurse working in Pediatrics. One of the little darlings gave me Whooping Cough. For several years after that every time I had a cold I sounded like I had it all over again. So you should be able to Whoop it up on the ship in August. I hope you don't really have it. Bronchitis is bad enough.

Could someone post a link so that I can see the shirt for the Sisterhood? Please. DH never wears tee shirts so I don't have to worry about him showing up in the one for the guys in any color. :teeth:

Estelle :cold:
