As someone said before, a boring day at sea while on vacation, sure beats any day back home at work.
Mark

This will be my second cruise, so I'll happily take the CC towel!
Don't want to sound like a spoiled brat, but after 4 cruises, 2 towels is enough for me!!(got the duffel bag from the 2nd one)

Yeah, i guess we will be OK..From reading the "Live, 10 day thread", there just deosn't seem anything special about it other than the Christams Deco and some holiday activities....I have been on 2 weekly Disney cruises and hope there will be more events and stuff to do. That is all! I guess some of my friends put a damper on it since they raved about those Princess Cruises..I would have love to go Ice skating on the boat! But the rainforest is a good thought, i have never took advantage of that so i will def do that...NO Mark, there will be NO DISBOARDS MEET THERE....THANK YOU!!

You can get a wine glasses from any of the open bars. I do it all the time, I bring along my favorite wine, nothing expense, small bottles that hold 1 serving. I also bring along a small blender to mix up my favorite brew, sorry still think I'm talking to the Halloween cruisers. DH usually brings along a couple of cases of his favorite beer. I'm not sure how we are going to do that this time I guess we'll buy his beer when we get to the hotel in CA.

Y'all don't forget my Birthday is on the 21th of Aug, Ha!Ha! Hint! Hint!
Congrats on cruising during your birthday. We decided to celebrate my birthday early while onboard too, my birthday is 9/11 and it's not such a great day to celebrate on anymore.

We need to make a list of any special days people are celebrating onboard. Just what we need, another reason to 'toast' a few more!!!...Mark

Matter of fact, we got ours today. They have me and my kids in one cabin and Sandy and her dad in the other. I told her that she has to sleep there on the first and last night(its a Disney Rule!!) She's not buying it...Mark

Trouble in Paradise?????? HMMM???

Hi All! Back from a great day out! We went to the Toronto Zoo for the day (since it was a balmy 24 here :D ) and visited with our favourite animals. We have a family membership, so it was a wonderful walk in the snow and a good opportunity to start practicing with our new digital camera!

Melinda - I'm sure we've all considered the "boredom" factor of 5 sea days in a row (especially when our friends want to point it out to us  ), but I'm excited about it. On our 7-day cruise, I never managed to get to even one "Art of Entertaining" seminar, galley tour, wine tasting, or even napkin folding 101! :charac2: Somehow, I still seemed to be busy without doing any of these! They are all on my list for this cruise, along with our Ladies' Tea, DIS-Meet, and any other activities we can arrange. I'm also looking forward to the opportunity of just chatting face-to-face with you rather than via a keyboard!

Tracy - our own Wine Tasting sounds like a great idea! Is this then we'll each get our thimble-full of Zinfandel from Jazzman??? I think someone on the 10-day just arranged a DIS wine party, which seemed to be enjoyed by all.

Denise - I'm not a very good card player (never heard of hi-lo) but I know euchre and hearts and LOVE playing trivial pursuit type games! I'd welcome the opportunity to play :jumping4: :jumping4:

Don't let the negativity of others get to you, Melinda. Plan to take advantage of time off the ship when we're in ports, and enjoy everything the ship has to offer when we're onboard. I know Lara's truly excited about the Kids' Lab this year, especially since she'll have some friends before she goes! There's time to sail on Princess or other lines when your kids are older if the time comes for a different kind of cruising experience. I look on this Panama crossing as a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity on the Disney Magic, and I'm thrilled to be a part of it!

I think a wine tasting party onboard will work out well.. will bring a bottle and glasses in the carryon.

Plus - we haven't done tea or the rainforest either -- something to look foward too!

Plus - in terms of special events for the cruise - we will have the trip reports from the May Repo cruises to find out information for our cruise. I also thought that someone indicated there would be two formal & two semi-formal nites on the ship.

We will be getting off the ship on my birthday - 9/3 - -- We could also celebrate my sister's early too - 9/17.

Mark you would fit into our family - one of our brothers is born on 9/12. Lots of Sept. birthdays in our family.

:boat: :boat:

Have been gone most of the day & evening...you guys have been busy chatting! I will catch up tomorrow. We are battening down the electronics... Why might you ask? We've just been issued a tornado warning for our area.

See ya' all tomorrow, this will be an interesting night. Not many basements here in the usually sunny Southern CA.

That after only 2 drinks???

We need to help the effort while onboard. Every time one of us runs in Melinda, we should drag her to the nearest bar for a drink or shot!! After seeing the first group or two, she should be zonked!! We'll see Melinda walking around Deck 9 with a yardstick asking people to hold one end while she moves to the other end and says, "Three feet", then goes to someone else and does it again. She'll then go online in Cove Cafe and tell anyone online that the Ship is made up of alot of 3 foot sticks...Mark

I think the idea of a wine party is a GREAT idea.... Count me in.

I will also be celebrating my birthday (9/10) while on this cruise.

Ginny

Ha ha you are funny Bob and Mark!! But yeah, for some reason it does not take too much alcohol for me to get zonked!! Only after 2 drinks, i am flying high! :cloud9: I am really not a big drinker at all...But when i drink, watch out!! :earseek:

Arlene, You are right...I guess i was bummed for awhile when friends were speaking of how WONDERFUL those Princesses Cruise were. Gotta admit, those activities on Princess sounds cool though!!(rock climbing on the ocean!!) But i will have a great time with those Tea party and such..

Also, The wine tasting sound great! By the time i tasted all those wine, i will be flying high again!! :cloud9: Just hope i won't be the next lady jumping overboard!! LOL!!

Barbara, I hope you and family are safe!!!

Mark, Poor Sandra, WHY don't YOU sleep with your father in law instead!! What is this Disney Rule??
My father snores loudly too!! Even without my hearing aids, i can still hear him!! YIKES!!!! My mom will most likely sneak into my room in the middle of the night!! (actually she wears earplugs!!)

Wow! Lots of September birthdays on this cruise! Mine is 09/19, but I've got NO plans to celebrate it onboard. This is an "UN-Birthday" year for me!
