Well, we know of at least one person that is probably busy taking pictures.

Dreading going back to work tomorrow...

Dh talked on the phone with his sister today who is an oceanographer. She said it is a common phenomenon of nature to have these tsunamis in that area of the world. The islands are just above sea level so they are very vulnerable. Still, these people need our support, prayers, and assistance. Just an afterthought from my post above.

Santa also brought Scene-It to our house. Lots of squealing and laughter going on, fun game!

Hello Everyone!! How are you all doing?? I am doing great!! With Bob's family now. Will be playing family games in a few minutes.

Thanks Barbara for all that info. Will take a look more seriously when i get home tomorrow.

Hey guys, hafta tell you a funny story...When we were with my family last night, My father bought a beautful sweater for my mom and when she opened it last night, my father said, "you wear that for your cruise next year!!" and my mother gave him a look and said, "Listen babe, If i gotta wear this, then i WILL join the others at the Naked party!!!" I was gasping!! Never thought i would hear my mom say that!! My sis and I were rolling on the floor had tears laughing!!

Gotta go, they are screaming for me to play!!

Just popping in to say Merry Christmas! Hope everyone had a good one. I know we did.

I hope to be here a little more often now that things are calming down a bit.

I hope it won't be too bad for you. We're lucky here in Canada. There are two statutory holidays attached to Christmas and Boxing Day, which leaves my office officially closed both Monday and Tuesday. :Pinkbounc :Pinkbounc

Melinda - too funny about your mom! :rotfl: :rotfl: I'm not expecting "sweater weather" next August either!

Barbara - prayers going out to all affected by the terrible earthquake and aftermath today. :grouphug:

I have not been here in a good while, sorry I missed wishing everyone a Merry Christmas.

But, I would like to wish everyone a very happy and healthy New Year to come.

:cheer2:

Hope you enjoy the rest of your vacation Arlene!

Take a vacation day??!!! Sorry K/J! Hope the work week goes by quickly for you!!!

Hey, that's not a bad idea! :) No, I really shouldn't complain. It's just so nice having an extended time off of work. Guess I have a lot to look forward to in eight short months!

Most coastline areas are at sea level. The problem was there was no warning to move to higher ground(even if there was any). If the East Coast weas hit by a similar tidalwave, Melinda's neighborhood would be considered prime waterfront property...Mark

Yes, I know and agree. We are 7 miles from the ocean here and 500 feet above sea level, but have a hilly area between our home and the beach (Signal Hill). If a tidal wave occurred, we'd probably be flooded but most likely we'd be OK. Guess the islands in this part of the world do not have many areas of high ground to block the force of the waves as can be found along other coastal areas. Mother nature sure can do much destruction...

That was too funny Mel!!! Your mom has your same great sense of humor! Glad to hear you are having so much fun!

Thanks Ginger! Are you on our cruise???!

kmiles, just think, another long weekend coming up for you!

I guess we need to add your mom onto our list of WENCHES!!...Mark

Merry Christmas everyone!
We are having a very lazy day enjoying family. It got me to thinking about church services aboard the Magic during the repo cruises. Does anyone have information about such things?

Wow YrMajesty3- It's about time we heard from you!! No answers yet on any services offered onboard, but I'm sure they'll offer something. They did have services available on our last cruise. Any interest in coming to a meet onboard?...Mark

Hi Jazzman,

Sorry I didn't respond sooner about how many in my family. We were out of town for Christmas and just returned home.

Here is the correct head count: 10

2 for DCL~Dreamer: Claire (me) and DH Bob

3 for Tigger24: Bernadette (our DD) and her DH Jon, and their DD Hailey

5 for my sister and her family who are also sailing with us; they are:

Bernadette and Dave, and their 3 children:
DD Courtney (age 17)
DD Erin (age 16)
DS Patrick (age 8)

We will all be staying at the Holiday Inn in San Pedro, and will also contact them to be put on the list for the shuttle from the hotel to the pier. E-mail me if you need any further information.

Thank you everyone for all the work you have done to organize this. I lam looking forward to meeting all of you in August.

We hope everyone had a wonderful Christmas, and wish you all a Happy and Healthy New Year!

Claire

Hi Mark . I would be very interested in an onboard meet. How do I get invited? I wouldn't want to be a party crasher. :cool1: :rockband: :rockband: :rockband:
