Melinda's earlier post

As if being a fulltime mom and a housewife who is constantly cleaning, (since me and Dh are neat and clean freaks), is not a JOB!!!!
I told him he is sleeping on the couch tonight!!!

Would the real "MAD HOUSEWIFE" please stand up!!!

Mark, I think you mis identified the individual in that picture!!!!!

Wow - I'm impressed!!!! I don't look like June Cleaver even when I'm at the office!!! (I am wearing pearls today though:teeth: ) In the computer biz, I never know when I'm gonna be crawling under furniture looking for cables, etc. No way I'm wearing a dress or skirt for that:earseek: although the rest of the technical team (all males) might not object!

Have a great day at school. We'll try to behave ourselves here (didn't you notice how quiet we were while you were in Atlantic City???)

Mark - great photo of the "Desperate Housewife"!!!

Funny, they don't look like that on that new ABC show, though!;)

We would be interested, one adult and one child, on the bus back to MCO from PC. As much as I'd love to stop somewhere, the last time we rented a car for the day and drove to DD - we were tired and just wanted to get home.

I'm thinking after 2 weeks we will feel even MORE of a want to get home, so though we have no flights booked yet, we're interested!

Thanks for the organization of this!

My Children have been in contact with other kids on the DCL Magic trip last year, and after seeing other childrens threads on other dates, I thought I would start one off for us, The opening post is as follows:_

This thread has been set up for the Children on the 2005 14 day DCL cruise leaving Los Angeles on August 20th going through the Panama Canal to Port Canaveral. It is designed for the children to get to know each other, Firstly Internet security, first names only, or Disnames, general locations please do not give any detail, and the first time you all should meet should be either Disneyland or the ship! Anywhere else refer to parents!

My Children have been in contact with a few by e-mail and I thought it would be nice to extend this up to all. I suggest at First introduce yourselves, age, if you have travelled on the ship or to Disney before, your favourite ride or show etc. Hobbies and sport, and favourite music.

Posting can be via your parents if required, but parents this is the kids thread, any usual stuff should be on the main thread.

Hopfully this will help them get to know each other before the cruise, but remaind them all about internet security before using, or post through yourselves.

:cat:

Nice idea Andrew. You covered all the necessary things. Of course we don't have anyone in the group but as a grandparent I found it covered the bases.

I think we would be interested in the bus from PC to MCO. Don't know what time our flight is but still think getting to MCO should be fairly simple since we are all going to be tired and happy to let someone else do the driving. So that would be 2 adults.

Once the DH retired and I had my knees replaced he started doing the cleanning. He looks really nice in pearls and jeans. :teeth:

We have ressies at WDW for the Prime Time Cafe. I think that's right. The one where the waitresses are sort of like a mother figure. We've never eaten there so the experience should be interesting. Especially since I don't eat veggies. Hope they have corn.
If not and it is something green I'll hope there is a dog under the table that I can slip them to. That'll be my smooth move for the day. :smooth:

Time between slipping on a peel and smacking the pavement: 1 bananosecond.

Andrew, you realize this will drastically cut into my Dis Time!

Great Idea!

Now I don't think I will have much time to post since we are leaving in the wee hours tomorrow!

Just want to say

"OH BeHave, Baby!"

Chat Next Week!

I'm Finally Going Home!

Have a fantastic trip home, Scratch!

Enjoy everything to the max and be sure to tell us all the highlights when you get home!

We'll try to keep "the boys" in check while you're gone - you can read about how successful we were when you get back:teeth:

Sorry if it cuts into parents time!! But I think the Children will love getting to know each other, I have PM'd a couple of people in contact already with by kids and the response is favorable.

If we had enough people to get a bus I'd take it instead. The hassles of getting to the rental car, driving to the airport, dropping off and then walking over to check-in, for 85.56; are easily outwayed by the hassle free bus service as well as the cost of under 8 dollars a person. I honestly see a problem with the car rental companys having enough vehicles, especially minivans, for all of us. This is an unusal event. Only those living local,(See Bob) will have transportation waiting. Everyone else will be either using DCL at 25.00 per person or renting cars. Last year we reserved a premium sized car and we got to Budget by 9:00am. They only had 4 cars there and none were premium sized. They offered me a smaller car and apologized. I think we brought home someone else's bags because we had more going home then we came with. We had bags everywhere, between the kids, on their laps and between us in front. Definately not very safe...Mark

p.s.- My flight home from MCO is at 12:25pm

Should we call them KOF's (Kids of Fools).. Instead of DW,DH,DD,DS....should we be usin FW,FH,FD,FS (Fool's Wife, etc)

Not the fools

They are going, enjoying, eating, playing, sightseeing, but

Not paying!!!!

Not paying??? I'm trying to convince them that all the money I spend on them is just a loan!! I want it back once I retire.;)

Sandy's not buying into it either!!...Mark

Mark,

My parents tried that one on me too! But, I think I finally stopped the payoff requests when I threw them a 30th wedding anniversary surprise party this year. Can we say "Eternally grateful?!?!?!?!"

LOL...my mom even took me aside and said, "We're still going to Hilton Head in March, right?" She thought it was a ploy and that their gift was the party instead!

Now, I believe all debts have been cancelled, and will no longer be mentioned, because if they are, I'll just do the sad, pouty, hound dog eyes, and say, "Didn't we have a great time at your party? (sniff, sniff)"

Have fun Scratch!

Just remember every time you cruise you are spending your kids inheritance!

I was told the first twenty one years were the worst, when you have kids, then its a bit easier as you can give them their own credit card! ( Do not make the mistake of issuing an extra card on your own account!).
