Paul- If you were to actually fly with them, I'd be more concerned with them being non-START flights and the only service you get is the inflight entertainment of Grumbo prancing down the aisles.

Do you think the pink tu-tu makes him look fat?

Here's the wig we all need (thanks Grumbo for modeling, again)

It is $4.50 if we order 3 or more! What say you?

Of course they're not non-stop. Sheesh you think we fly forever. We have to stop eventually!!!
As for in flight service I'm mortally offended! You think we're running a brothel or something?!?!?! Jazzman and I run a fine upstanding business and photos of Mark in a tutu and green headed ladies cut me to the quick when I see how our genuine attempt to assist and aid fellow travellers are being dissed by you people.

Go ahead take your fancy schmansy airlines. 5 hours to fly to L.A. and 4 hours in the airport at each end. J.G.E. may take a little longer but we fly door to door. Just give us the address and zip code of your hotel and we can land out front. Now THAT is service bucko!!!!

Cheers,
Grumbo

Grumbo, I believe I have flown in one of your planes in the past. The one with the few windows, maybe a DC3? I will book my air with JGE IF, and only IF, you personally pilot the plane and Jazz is the navigator. I say we go from Cnada to New Hampshire, then onto New Jersey. Fuel up and head straight for the ship. Screw the hotels, GJE should have no trouble putting down onthe poop, er pool deck!

Well that just proves the JGE slogan works: "JGE, be afraid, be very afraid"

I really hope they have an open bar policy on their flights and their excursions. That may be the only way I could ever set foot on one of their planes, trains, or automobiles!

:cat: Good thing we aren't leaving this week. We'd need a flying boat. Actually we are not close to the raging river. But the pictures in the paper this morning were quite something.
I really like the photo with the green wig. And the makeup job was outstanding. Grumbo makes a lovely "lady".
Seems we have two pine trees that were damaged in the storm and will have to be taken down. It will need a professional tree person to cut them down. But I think it will have to wait until the ground dries up.
Here's hoping that we get no rain for at least a week. Or maybe a month.

Just how pretty Grumbo is. Is is any wonder that Jazzman gets his nose out of joint when all we do is post pictures of our lil' dumplin'??? Personally, I think the green wigs are cute, but what about the color assortment. I think my OTC catalog will give you an assortment of colors for a very good price. Perhaps we could use them as a color code for embarking and disembarking JGE airline flights? Watcha think? Then we could all wear them to the sail away party and we would have NO problem knowing who was in our cozy little family!!!!

Laura

PS Susan, you have tried before and failed, what makes you think you will succeed this time? :hyper:

Ahhhhh, an excelent idea. They come in Pink, Blue, Orange and Green. I'm sure the flight attendants for JGE anready have a coulour for every uniform!

Well we went and saw Phil Collins for his farewell tour in Toronto last night.
WHAT A PERFORMER!!!
The band, back up singers, were phenomenal. We go to quite a few concerts each year and this is probably the best I've seen. His energy and talent are wonderful. He has stated this won't be a "Cher style" final tour where he does it every year :)
If any of you have the opportunity to see this concert in any of his stops in the States do it.
I am so pleased we got a chance to see him.

OK back to upgrades, flights and hotel discussion ;)

Cheers,
Grumbo

Grumbo,

I saw Phil many years ago, and you are right he puts on a great show. He is definitely one of the best performers that I have seen. Glad you liked the show.

GRUMBO:

I am SOOO jealous. That is the ONE performer I have always wanted to see in person. Kudos on getting tickets. In our area, it is impossible unless you sleep on line outside the ticket office! They go fast around here.

They did here also.
I was on the net and the phone trying to get through as soon as they went on sale. I think they were gone within an hour.
Pees me off though when you are going to the concert and you have all these jerks with hand fulls of tickets for the concert. Much better than mine and asking ridiculous amounts. I always hope they'll get stuck with the darn things and lose everything on them.

Cheers,
Grumbo

We used the City Pass Tickets last summer in CA. Worked out great! Unfortunately, I didn't know COSTCO sold them so I paid full price....

Just back from a lovely dinner with the DDs. Had shrimp, steak and a chocolate lava cake with vanilla ice cream. We were celebrating DHs and my 30th wedding anniversary.
Now I am going to roll myself up the stairs. Almost as much food as we have on the Magic.

:earsgirl::earsboy:

ps. We only need 3 more posts to make 4000. We might make 10000 before next August.

10,000 before next August? No problem! :D

Glad to hear you had a good (read "yummy") time Estelle!

HAPPY 30TH ANNIVERSARY Estelle to you and your dh!!! That is wonderful! Your dinner sounds delicious, you made me hungry and I've already had dinner! I need to catch up on our thread, but hope everyone is doing well!

Again, congratulations on 30 years together!
