We just came back from a week at DL. The one day park hopper pass is $69. Also checked out the Holiday Inn and the cruise terminal.

I am so jealous of everyone who will be in WDW this December. It is my favorite time of year to go to WDW. Who knows if I get a good deal maybe I'll go too! I am going on the seven day Disney Cruise on 10/23/04 but didn't add any Disney days.

It's official! We are going to WDW in December. DH just spent 30 minutes getting our tickets for MVMCP. We are also going on the 7th. Jen and Allan are going to be there then too. So we are going to be with them. I am so psyched.

We will probably only be there for 4 days. (Rats)
We will drive down and back. Hardly ever fly. Nice to have a storage place for all the junk.
Now we have to tell the DDs that we are going. Could be an interesting evening in our house.
Right now off to iron a shirt for DH. After this morning he has earned it.

The Holiday Inn is about one mile from the terminal. It looked alright from the outside. There is not much property from what we saw. It is adequate, but not fancy. I did not see any other hotels in the immediate area. Does anyone know how we are supposed to get to the terminal from the hotel? We were planning on returning the rental car early, but don't remember if there will be a shuttle over to the terminal.

As far as the terminal goes, it is not as nice as the one in Florida, but we are only there for a few hours before we have two weeks on the Magic, so it will be alright.

There is a shuttle from the HI to the port. And I know that our hotel T/A is making sure they will get us all there, although it may take more than one trip!

While all DL hopper tickets expire, DL one day tickets do not expire (though sometimes when bought at the gate they are for that day only, so you have to check and make sure that you are purchasing one that is not for that day only). I still have a commemorative ticket from when Indianna Jones opened up. They also had one when DCA opened, I didn't buy that one, if I recall it was a double ticket or something. The Inndianna jones one I have has a small ticket on the bottom that you use, and the rest of it you get to keep. I never did use it, but I think I paid like 35.00 for it then.

I have a friend who now wants to go to WDW sometime during the first two weeks of December. I know there are at least a couple of Canal cruisers who've recently booked during that time. Did you get good resort rates? Can you let me know where you booked and what rate you got?

I am using DVC points for my stay in Dec but there are discounts rates for the hotels...Take a look here:

My Aunt is staying at the WL for $130.00 per night in Dec

She is having problems getting any of those rates and she is amazingly flexible on her dates. She also wanted to rent points for a studio but there are none left. She wants to stay for about a week sometime during the beginning of December.

Estelle you are so lucky! We have been twice during the season and have experienced HOT weather and COLD - it's hit or miss for that time of year. LOVED MVMCP, Osborne lights, surround fireworks and Candlelight processional. I love the Grand Floridian lobby too - it's beautiful! You are in for a great time!

Congrats to all who are planning December trips to WDW! We were there in December, 2002 and it was one of my favourite trips to the "World".

MVMCP, Candlelight Processional (be sure to book the dinner package to have guaranteed seating!) Osborne Lights, Gingerbread House in the lobby of the Grand Floridian, all the giant Christmas trees ...

sigh ... I'll have to go home and watch my video of that trip again. With the repo cruise and DL beforehand next year, it's just not feasible for us to go this year.

Vicarious liviing is great though - keep posting your plans and trip reports, please! If I can answer any questions, I'd be happy to do so.

Wow!! Sounds like a powerful hurricane is coming to FL...Just think...One year from now, we are still on the panama cruise, schedule to dock this weekend in Port Canveral...Imagine, if it was this year!!!!! YIKES!!!!!
