Oh my Mel, no...no...no wet t-shirt contests (unless I for one begin working out again...which maybe I'd better do to be strong enough for this cruise, lol!) No, what I meant is we should get some "Ship of Fools Sisterhood Alliance" t-shirts. I mean after all, we will probably be celebrities on the ship, ROFL!!!!!!!

Barbara, relax, I am just kidding around!!! Do you really think that I would partciptate in that??? (Oh, yeah, i have a body of Brittany Spears.) LOL!!!!Remember, my parents are coming too!!

Sound like a plan to get those t shirts!! We should wear them on the embarkation day so eveyone knows not to mess with us!! LOL!!! ROFL!!!

Uh Barbara, you don't mean the WET t Shirt right??????? I think that only way we would get free drinks!!!

Paul, leaving Monday?? Going to WDW too???
Going to WDW and doing the Processional on Tuesday and MVMCP on Friday!

Wonderful Paul!! Did both of them and You will love it. The MMVCP is sold out for the 17th. It can be lil' chaotic there but do most of the rides during the day in MK and that way you will enjoy the shows and stuff at the party. That what we did.

That's our plan exactly! We are doing LTT before all the festivities!

Thank you Paul...you know you are only giving more points to the Sisterhood by doing this, right?!!!

Anyway, check this out - good price, flash, and good depth. It's from another thread:

I ordered 3 of these for the Sisters out here in California. Make sure you search around the net for a discount code worth 10% off. I got all 3 in less than 4 work days. They seem really nice and the fact that you can reload them with more film makes them more economical. They also are supposed to float....so if the kids drop them they won't be lost in the bottom of CC!!

I have to go take care of sick DD - she has strep throat (spent 1.75 hours at urgent care last nite) and now she sounds like the God Father....

Everyone have a good weekend!!!

Laura

Thanks Laura for the good tips! Hope your dd gets better very soon, and you stay healthy! No fun for either of you... :( Tell your dd to rest her voice...sounds like she'll be home from school for at least Monday? Rent some movies and have some "girl" time together. ;) Happy Holidays!

Have a wonderful trip! Please, let us know about the 10 day activities when you come back. Should be interesting to see what DCL has in store for the 10 day. Enjoy the CP and MVMCP during your few days @ WDW!

We leave in a week! This will be our first time down to WDW during the holidays and we are very excited! :cheer2:

Paul, have a great time! Enjoy Antigua, we absolutely loved it this fall!!

Thanks everyone for the well wishes for our trip. I'm excited about this trip but equally excited to meet all of you in August. Now I guess I'd better go and start packing!

Paul

Good grief, I just scrolled up to the top of the last page and there was talk of a wet t shirt contest? I won one of them once, so if any of you need to know the winning stategy, just ask!!!!

I think it's time to start packing. No, wait, that is after the first of the year! No wait, I already have stuff in the bag.

Just dropping by for a quick HI! and enjoy your cruise Paul :)
I was going to go and lay by the pool this afternoon. I just took this photo and then said nah I'll watch the Bills win another :) This is the pool about 20 minutes ago.

Hi Paul  Have a great time at WDW and on your 10-day cruise!!!! I'm like Grumbo - watching more snow come down.

You'll be a wonderful source of knowledge when you get back about what kind of "extra" things Disney has on an extended cruise!

Merry Christmas to you! :grouphug:

We've been lurking on and off and wanted to check back in. It's dang near impossible to keep up with the "fools" on this thead!

We are planning a few days in Vegas prior to our cruise. (Just booked our airfare.) I'm sure some of you must have some advice on hotels/shows/etc. We've never been and will be traveling with 2 DD's (11 and 7). DW and I are thinking about staying at the Mirage, Treasure Island or MGM Grand. Do any of you have any suggestions?

Thanks,
Paul

We are doing exactly the same Paul.
I would go through ALL of the hotels that you are interested in and book the best price you can find, and keep checking back a couple of times a week. I know that sounds a bit extreme but I booked in at the Paris Hotel for four days and got it for $119 per night and a $10 discount for AAA (we have CAA). That rate is now up to $154 for three of the 4 nights we have booked. We stayed there this summer and it is a wonderful hotel and very central. As for shows we are going to see the new Cirque du Soleil show. Have seen Mystere and "O" and they are superb. IF you are interested "O" is a great evening. You can book (I think it is 3 months in advance) and would do it as soon as available as tickets go fast.
We also did the day trip to the Black Canyon at the Hoover Dam. It is a great trip for a day which is wonderful for adults and kids alike. Website is http://www.blackcanyonadventures.com/ . We are flying into LAX and driving over as the difference in flights and the one way car rental were so prohibitive that this is a much better deal for us. We are leaving for LA on Sunday August 14th, booked into Vegas for 4 nights and then going over to LA. We may cut the trip short to 3 nights but will play it by ear. We saw Elton John this summer while there and he was great. Either he or Celine Dion are playing at Caesars Palace.
Anyway good luck. Shop around though as the prices go up and down and you can always "rebook" if need be to take advantage of the better prices.

Cheers,
Grumbo
