Hi, everyone! I'm surprised that I cannot find another thread for this cruise. I'm Joy, and will be traveling with my DH, DD, DS and DF, DM. I can't wait to hear from others!
:woohoo::cool1::woohoo:

I have added your thread to the 2011 Wonder Cruise Meet list :thumbsup2

Our family of five will be there along with my mother, my uncle, my brother, his wife, their two kids, my sister, her husband and their twins. A total of 15 people in 5 cabins! Already looking forward to the cruise!

I'm so happy to hear from you! I was beginning to Wonder if we'd have the boat to ourselves. How old are your kids? My DD will be 10 nearly 11 and my DS will be 7 and a half. This will be our third Disney cruise with grandparents, parents and kids. (Although the first two cruises included my MIL who did a different Alaska cruise recently and decided to skip this one.) We've done the four day on the Wonder to Nassau and this past summer did the Eastern Caribbean on the Magic. A warning, these cruises are _addictive._

Glad you're looking forward to it, we are too! (Although my kids don't know yet. I think 18 months is beyond my currently 6 year old!)

Hi all,
We will be on the boat with you all as well! We are me, DH, DS 12, and DS 9. My parents will also be with us, so we have 2 cabins. We did the Western cruise on the Magic last summer and had a blast! This will be our first west coast adventure and we are so excited! Looking forward to chatting with you all through this year! :goodvibes

My kids will be 20, 18 and 16. My brothers boys will be 8 and 6 and my sisters twin boys will be 8.

The Alaskan cruise will be our 4th Disney cruise, you are right about the addiction!!!

Well, Peg, your own kids won't care a hoot about mine, but your siblings' kids just might. When we did the Eastern cruise last summer, my daughter wrote to another little girl who was going to be on our cruise and that made the cruise really special for her to have made a friend even before she got on the boat.

In case your siblings don't know - it is Really important to check the schedule of where the Lab kids are at any given time. We learned that the hard way last summer. It seemed as though we never dropped them off and picked them up in the same place.

I hope everyone is having a good weekend. It's awful darn cold here in the Philly suburbs! I could stand to be on a boat right now!:cloud9:

Thrilled to hear from another cruiser. Like you, this will be my and my kids first time on the west coast. My husband has been west a couple of times and my parents have been to CA, but I've never been west of Texas. And it's a dumb thing to wonder about, but I am hoping that the pools will stay useable. On our Eastern cruise, my kids and I always hopped in at 7 am and loved having the pools to ourselves. It was great, but the water was NOT warm when we were close-ish to the equator, I'm not sure what they'll be like when we're Far from it.

I teach high school Latin and we just finished midterm exams. I'm focusing on the cruise right now as a reason for keeping working,

Yeah...It's really chilly here and I wish we were cruising too!

I am a Kindergarten teacher and could use a small break about now as well :)

I (along with my nagging children) was also wondering about the pool. We spent lots of time in the pool on our Western Caribbean cruise. The boys are convinced that someone is enclosing the pool area.

Did Philly get a lot of snow? We got 5 inches and by some miracle schools were not closed today. They are call from 12 - 30 inches this weekend. Yikes!

Have a fun Superbowl weekend!
Jenn

Our family will be joining you all with two sons ages 11 and 8. We will be driving to Vancouver from Calgary, Alberta and this will be our first Disney cruise!

Your boys are the same age as mine! We are talking about driving across the US to get to Vancouver....our family is trying to see all 50 states together and that would be a great way to add a bunch on!

It's spring break here in Maryland and I am dreaming of a cruise right now! Just a little more than a year left.

Happy Easter! Jenn

That sounds so fun and ambitious. I can't imagine a way that this could work for us. My husband has a "normal" job (as opposed to my teaching one). He gets three weeks of vacation for the entire year, and I wouldn't choose to use it all for this cruise. That said, it sounds like a ton of fun to do! We will definitely fly to the west coast, but I'm hoping to fly on Friday night so that we can adjust to the time change for a few days before we get on the boat. In the August 16, 2011 sailing thread, someone put up a TON of information about Vancouver and Seattle. I can't do it right now, but I'll try to copy it over to this thread. (I promise I'm not a stalker, but a friend was on that sailing and I was following it to read about her! :rotfl2:)

Anyway, hope it's starting to warm up wherever you are!

Hi all! We are in crazy wind down mode here in Maryland....2 1/2 weeks left of school, plus baseball and scouts. I started reading some information about the ports of call in Alaska, but no serious planning yet.

Hope everyone has a relaxing summer planned! :cool2:

Hi all,
My travel agent is going on an Alaskan cruise in two weeks. Anyone want her to check out a specific port of call? I have her looking at the sky ride in Juneau, the train ride in Skagway, and taking a hopper plane to a glacier (for DH, of course). Let me know and I will put in my requests and report back with her info when she returns!

Hello everyone - I'm actually one day away from my flight to Walt Disney World followed by my second Disney cruise on the 18th. Suffice to say I'm really looking forward to it. :)

We are already booked on the 8/2/11 Alaska sailing as well. So, I'm happy to join in the planning here for any meets or FE exchanges!

I am a travel agent myself - I think it's great that your agent is trying out things for you, Jenn! Talk about dedication.

I can't wait to talk to you all again when I get back from this cruise in two weeks!
Best to you all,
Jeremy

Hi all! My travel agent Renee just got back from Alaska and had a blast! She went on a "Deadliest Catch" cruise in Ketchican that she is raving about. They got to hold all kinds of sea creatures and feed some eagles. She also rode the sky ride in Juneau and took a bus ride around the town. If you need more info, let me know...I can probably get it for you!

Hi all!
If anyone is in the Baltimore/DC area on July24, my travel agent is having an open house. It will feature excursions, photos, tips, etc. If you would like to attend, please let me know and I will get you the information! ;)

Hi all! We are from MD and looking forward to our cruise. This will only be our 2nd on the Wonder, the first Wonder cruise was the 1st month it had ever sailed! All our other Disney cruises have been on the Magic

It will be my husband and I, our two daughters (who by then will be 6 and 9), and my parents, who will be joining us from Georgia. We are in a balcony stateroom on Deck 6.

Do we have a "logo" yet? If not, I can try to make one up for us!

We went on an Alaska cruise on HAL in 2000. Ketichan is such a cute town, Juneau is really awesome (we went panning for gold) and I know Skagway is great. We are really looking forward to going back with the Mouse!

Looking forward to getting to know you!

Hi! Glad you are joining us! We don't have a logo, yet. Our family went on the Magic last summer, so this is our first trip on the Wonder and our first time in Alaska! It sounds like you know about the Alaskan cruise, but you are more than welcome to come with us to the open house, if you feel like driving to Ellicott City next Saturday! Let me know!

Hello All,

We just got off the Magic yesterday morning and booked the 8/2/11 while on board. Looking forward to a new DCL experience. This will be our 11th DCL cruise but the first on the Wonder. Baltic was awesome!!!! Will need a little time to get over that one and then start thinking about Alaska.

Our party will be myself, DW, DS (16) and DD (13).

Nicholas.
