Add 4 more people to this cruise. Wife and I plus our 2 children (12 & 9). We booked several months ago and just found this board by chance. Good to see there is some activity, but not to much activity. Judging by the numbers I see here and what I have seen on another message board this is likely to not be a max capacity cruise.
I did wonder about all the cabanas being booked. Maybe there is a large group we don't know about yet. I had that happen on a Carnival Cruise several years ago. Boards were quiet and everything looked nice, then we checked onboard and BLAM 500+ person family reunion. They had entire areas reserved and blocked for a good bit of the cruise. we survived obviously, but the noise level was off the charts throughout the whole ship. Another in a long liwne of reason we have never sailed Carnival again.
This will be our 1st Disney Sailing and it has definitely started off on the right foot. We booked a 6A GTY and were given a 5C when our luggage tags arrived several weeks ago. We even got lucky with a $100 OBC somehow. Wife and I have been die-hard Celebrity cruisers so this is a definite change, and so far between the many positive reviews and my Disney experience to date they might get a few more cruises out of me if they maintain this standard of service. Maybe I'm getting lucky because I was an Disney annual pass member for a few years recently, but I doubt it.
See you all onboard... in just a few days!
EDIT: Just found a website call cruisefishDOTnet which indicates the number of staterooms still available. Currently 54% of the cabins are available for purchase onboard. Sounds good to me!
