August 18th; CA "sold out" for single dayTickets?

I am kicking around the idea of buying the 3 day special ticket they have going on this Summer. Since I'm out of state, I was looking at a couple of short trips and one of the dates was August 18th. I looked at the reservation calendar and this is literally the only day that one of the parks isn't available on. California Adventure seems to be 'sold out' on that day only. Seems odd, unless there's some sort of event that I'm not aware of. (I googled, but didn't find anything).
Anyone know of anything special going on that would cause that?

*** Edited: I see now that the reservations are only unavailable for *single* day tickets on Aug. 18th. Still odd, though, that the one date is unavailable.

Also, the special 3 day tickets come from a different park reservations “bucket” than non-discounted multi-day tickets. I am not sure if there is a way to check reservation availability in the special 3 day ticket bucket for your dates prior to purchasing the tickets, but if so, it would be worth checking. The ticket info did say that park reservations for these specially priced tickets would be “limited”, as I recall.

Both parks have reservations available on Aug 18 for Magic Key holders. It might be one of those things where reservations open closer to the date.
