My big souvie for this trip is going to be a Louis Vuitton bag and wallet bought in Paris from their flagship store!!!!!!!!!

OMG how wonderful!!!!! Keep the bag they put it in too!!!!!

I was reading a thread on here that someone had their LV luggage (I presume they mean Louis Vuitton), disappear when travelling. They thought someone picked it up in error - I think they are being too generous and the people knew exactly what they were doing. One day I would love a LV steamer trunk - that would be the business, although I probably wouldn't dare use it!

In Barcelona there are loads of guys selling counterfeit bags, on the streets. they have them displayed on large sheets, which they have strings tied to the corner of and when the police come along, they pull the strings and leg it!!! They looked brilliant copies, unless you really knew what you were looking at, I don't think a lay person would guess it was a fake. The cheek of one chap, he was literally positioned a few yards from the Gucci shop doorway!!!

Not the one in Paris, just the flagship in NYC. I was going to buy it last weekend when we were in the city, but with the EUR being so cheap, the bag and wallet is actually $200 cheaper to buy in Paris!!!!!!!!!! So, ultimate souvie here I come!!!!!! I know what bag I want, just can't decide on color... it comes in the monogram, chocolate check, and the blue/white one... My SIL has the blue/white one and it's BEAUTIFUL, though I don't know how that will look in winter....

Again I'm not big on purses either...I tend to use the same one all the time...DH buys me designer purses. I think he's already determined that I should have the dooney & burke...who knows...I'm very low maintenance...

Not the one in Paris, just the flagship in NYC. Even though you already know which one you want, I think the selection may be the largest at the Paris store. You will have lots of fun just looking around. It is a very cool store, inside and outside.
We are going to NYC this Summer so I will have to visit the LV store there! (and then straight to Canal Street )

I like the blue/white but agree it would be more seasonal. I am partial to the standard monogram. Have fun shopping

Delayed response Two pairs of shoes - dressy sandals and everyday sandals (I took 7 pairs last time and only wore two, so decided if I only take two I can take more things home)

Hi Vicky, good to see another Brit. On our last cruise there were loads of people from the UK, but it had been offered to UK travel agents and Cast Members, so that boosted the numbers. The ship was only half full too!

Where do you live? We are between St Helens and Wigan, are you going from Liverpool or Manchester? I have just booked with Monarch out of Manchester, going the day before and staying one night in the Novotel. We already did two nights in Barcelona, so not going to go mad this time, just have a leisurely afternoon, maybe on the beach.

Mindy - I understand the food thing - I just love Chocolate, but I am a bit like an addict. If I don't have any I am fine, but once I have a taste, I have to eat the lot!

My OH loves his wine, but despite having the wine package last cruise it wasn't good, we probably only had one good bottle, along with my favourite Zinfandel throughout the entire cruise!

We did think of buying a few bottles to take on board, but not sure what the corkage charge would be - anyone know?

Brilliant idea!!! Why didn't I think of that? They would of course have no idea if you bought it in a bar - I know DCL are happy for you to bring alcohol on board, but it just feels a bit strange to be honest.

Oh my gosh I want one tooo!!!!!I bought a classic monogram speedy 25 last year and love it! I really want a speedy 30 in damier canvas (the black and brown check) now if I can to the store and be impulsive lol!
