August 18, 2010...Can't wait for the MAGICal Mediterranean!!!

this will be our 3rd Disney Cruise. The later seating works well because for many of the days you will be boarding between 4-6pm. In Italy, DD and DH definately were eating gelato until the last minute before heading back to the ship.

Welcome!!!!

That is great that you are able to do the trip again.

How old is your DD?

Hi everyone. You are in a great room. We have had that cabin on 3 cruises and will have it again for our Oct 31st sailing. We tried to book it for the Med but I guess you booked it already. We will be in 2564. We have really loved this location.

It so exciting that new people have joined in. We are getting closer to that year mark.:cool1:

AWESOME! :cool1: It's always reassuring to hear good feedback! And...you'll be right down the hall!

On our trip over the memorial Day Weekend, my sister & I joined the DVC :cool1:

Jealous! Which resort?

kim

Our home resort is the Bay Lake Towers.

We had been talking about joining for years and this trip we decided to do the tour and after seeing the model for BLT we were sold and they have good incentives.

I just picked up a book from the library that is a great read!
Rick Steves Postcards From Europe.

Covers a bunch of areas were not going, I haven't gotten to Italy yet, but easy and humorous! He mentioned (in talking about prostitution in Europe), that there was a statue of the inventor of penicillin off the Ramblas in Barcelona somewhere near the statue of Columbus:rotfl:. That's now on my list of need-to-photograph!

Hope you are all having a great weekend!

Hi Everyone

I just booked the cruise last week. I've never sailed DCL and am very excited to be on the cruise. It will be me, aka mom, ds14, dd12 and ds5. We're all Disney lovers and have tried RCCL and Carnival. I'm hoping this will be the best cruise yet. Looking forward to meeting all of you.

We've only been on one disney cruise and after my DS and DD (8) both said they'd rather go on another cruise than go to Disney World. I think that says it all.

Welcome to the board. I'll add you to my unofficial list. Where are you from?

I know there are lurkers out there...come on, step up. The ship sold out all cabins through cat 4 at least 6 months ago.....would love to see who else is cruising with us.

Kate is 12, 13 at the sailing. Is really happy that she will be old enough for "the stack."

That's great. During the last cruise what were her favorite ports? My DD will be 10 at the time of the cruise and I am trying to figure out what is good for her age. Thanks

Well I'm going to have to say good bye
we have decided to cancel this cruise and have rebooked for this sept instead when we are at WDW

so Hope you all have a great time
looking forward to hearing all about your trip
I want lots of trip reports
Enjoy

So sorry to hear that! :sad1:What cruise did you opt for instead? I'm sure you'll still have a great time! After all, it is Disney!

We're moving next month to Toronto from the midwest U.S. I'm looking forward to cheaper airfares to Europe.

We booked a family verandah guarantee, so there are some category 1-4 cabins still available.

I wanted to get opinions on dining time. We normally eat around 6 pm at home, so I normally book main dining on Caribbean cruises. That works well, but generally we view the ship as much a destination as the islands, so we're on the ship more than off. In the Med, I want to do a good tour of Rome and Naples. Other ports I may do shorter shore excursions but in total, we'll be off the ship a lot. Are there any good reasons to choose late dining over early besides being able to be off the ship until later? What dining times does Disney have when they sail in the Med - for other lines, late dining can be really late.

WHAT Happened? Don't leave us....

I was wondering if anyone has any info regarding the 2010 Mediterranean excursions. Does anyone remember when they were available in 2007?

Thanks.

I've read on other threads that the European excursions are rumored not to be put out until early next year. I think it was posted by one of the moderators.

Have you booked on this cruise??
