Ah............. we are going to miss you! We'll arrive on August 11, but are going straight to the Florida Keys for a week.
On August 17 we will return to WDW and stay at the Contemporary. Any chance you are spending time at the MK before your return home?

Yes we are. We are the same hotel, checking out that day, but are going to MK in the morning til early afternoon. Fancy a quick meet up exactly 1 year before we meet again on the cruise?

YES, we will be at DLRP a week from today. It is kind of like our "home" park - very easy to get to.
The Hotel New York is right next to the Disney Village, which is close to the entrance to both parks, so I am sure you will enjoy it very much.

Thanks for the offer, will have tons of question since this is our first trip to Europe. Planning to spend two days in Paris and two days in the park.

Will the room in Hotel New York sleep 4 comfortably ? We have to book 2 rooms for our pre-cruise at Barcelona. Also, will two days be enough to cover both park. Wish we have more time in Paris, but that will make do for now.

I'm Kathy, and it will be me, my husband, our daughter (who will be 11 when we sail) and our insane but adorable little boy (who will be 4, although 6 weeks shy of 5, when we sail).

See, I made the funny joke (although my husband would disagree with the FUNNY part) below, then after looking at other pictures, I discovered that there are FISH. I wonder if the Sea Horse that I saw was for the concierge rooms?

Shouldn't our FE Exchange actually be a SHE Exchange? I was just looking at pictures from the Fantasy maiden voyage, and it looks like they are sea horses instead of fish.

Of course, SHE Exchange doesn't have the same ring to it, and could sound downright offensive.

Rooms are generally smaller in Europe than in the US, but if I am not mistaken (we stay offsite in DLRP) all Disney resorts offer two beds.
And if you are NOT going during an extremely busy time (like Christmas) than two days should be enough for the parks. Walt Disney Studios park is not very big, so it can be done in less than a day and you can then finish off any rides you still miss at the Disneyland park. Plus, since you are staying at a resort hotel you can use EMH (only morning ones) and fit in a lot of rides.

I'll let you know when I start my trip report, so you can get an idea on what is ahead of you!

We actually were able to said the MV of the Fantasy at the start of the month and booked this right then and there ... it's going to be a long 16 months to get through ... Trying to resist the temptation to sneak a short cruise in the middle! It'll be me, dh, my now 11 and 8 year old boys, and 4 year old daughter. Look forward to getting to know everyone!

How exciting to have been on the MV! I am sure it was a wonderful experience.
Tom and I are from Austria and we just LOVE DCL! We are cruising back to back on the DREAM this summer (a double dip and a 4 nighter) to haul us over. The Aug 17, 2013 cruise will be the second leg of a back to back as well. Just LOVE not to have to get off one of the ships.

BTW....we really DID switch our room. We are now in 9176. Just one room over. We were looking at pictures on-line, and Jeff thought it would be cool to be at the very point of the back. Not to mention that I think that balcony is big enough for a cocktail party.

Guess what ...... we did consider those staterooms ourselves, then decided against them, when we went up to Cabanas and saw that you can see into part of them. We love to stand at the rail and people watching me? No, don't want that.
