Hi, we were late to the FE group too and would like to join you in a new group.
We have e kids: DS (17), DD (12) and DD (6).
We've never done one before but it sounds fun - let us know the "rules."

Terrific! If we get a couple more families I'll figure out how we set up our own group. I'm not sure if we would set up a new FB page or add on to the one that is there.

Yes, it looks like the FE is closed. But if there is anyone out there, or any latecomers, who want to start a new group I'd be happy to do that. Just send me a message. Even if we only have a couple of families, we can do multiple little gifts on different days. I think my husband and I love the FE's for the same reason we love Halloween--love to see the kids enjoy it. Of course, my DH is a big kid! No ideas yet on excursions. But we would probably do some kind of Mayan ruins trip at Cozumel rather than another beach excursion. We have done tours outside of Disney in the past and had good luck. I guess I'd better start looking!

This is great! We are now three families. I know what it is like to join a cruise late and miss out on the FE! I'm sure we will get a few more families before it is too late.

Since I wasn't allowed to join the Facebook page, I'll just keep track of the interested parties and PM you all here on the Disboards for cabin #'s etc. and then distribute the info. That's the way we used to do it in the olden days before FB.

Any more takers? We can call ourselves the "Last Minute Fishing Trip".

Fish extender is a gift exchange. Cruisers hang a pocket like extender from the fish located outside the cabin door. Cruisers sign up for the fish extender exchange and leave gifts for the cabins in their exchange...usually small things, toys, candy, magnets, things people made themselves like photo frames, etc. on different days of the cruise.

The fish exchange for this cruise is organized on a Facebook page, but the group is closed now. I think someone on this board might be organizing a group for latecomers, but I'm not sure.

No, just for the Fish Exchange, although honestly it seems during the last few months much of the talking about the cruise has happened on that page rather than here. So, even though it's for the fish exchange, people just naturally started chatting about excursions, etc there.

I'm afraid that the FE is closed now. All the latecomers were given the opportunity to join existing groups that had lost participants, but now they are all full and closed.

Sorry.....I thought that's what might have happened, but I wasn't sure. I saw you on the FB group since your name here is similar to there, but I wasn't sure if there were still others organizing a late FE just on this board for those above that were asking about it.

Hi! I wanted to see If a latecomer fe goup had been created. My mom is a bit hesitant so a smaller group would be best. Still not 100% sure that we will do it I have to check with my mom but yea keep me updated please! Sprouts we give a gift every day? Or different families give on different days? We are a family of 5. My parents, the me (dd 14) then my brother (11) and my other brother (8)
