Evening Everyone! Just got in from a really horrible run...I struggled getting through it and actually had to even do some walking.

That sounds like all of my runs! They are all horrible! :rotfl: I am on week 8 of that C25K program and have discovered that running is kind of boring. When I was changing it up with the walking and running, it was a little more interesting, but now that I am into the 25/30 minute runs, I get so bored! I switched from running on my treadmill to running outside but that didn't help much.

I keep waiting for this running bug that I keep hearing about to bite me!

It looks really nice! We've been to Victoria & Albert's twice and loved it both times. This looks like V&A at sea. Of course, I am not sure that I can give up Palo and the chocolate soufflé! The dessert pictured there didn't look all that great to me. The beef did, though!

I wonder what the cost will be? I bet it is much higher than the $15 of Palo (or whatever Palo is these days!).

I can't wait to try out Remi (the restuarant not the mouse!) I wonder if we will be allowed to do both that and Palo. Decisions, decisions. I also want to do Palo for brunch, if I do loose any weight between now and the cruise I'm sure I'll gain it all back!
Shmoo, I'm on week 1 of the Couch to 5k and I'm already bored. Can't wait till I'm on week 8! I think my problem is that I started the program a month into my running so I'm used to doing the whole 5k and week one is only a 1.5 mile. I get to start week 2 tomorrow.

I agree - that dessert didn't spark any interest for me! It's good to have options though and with a bigger ship having 2 of these restaurants is great!

For you new runners - I agree, it's awfully boring. I also prefer to not run with my iPod either - so I basically just "think" to myself. On the treadmill though - I need to have a DVD playing or I'd go insane! The running bug may never in fact bite you, but the benefits of the exercise are well worth it.

This might be my running problem right now...I am bored too! Now that I am running for 35 minutes or more straight (I know that isn't all that far), I get bored and seems like the run takes forever. I worry about this as I am increasing my distance.

I still have not caught the running bug either...I am waiting! :goodvibes

I am plugging along, but I am really starting to think that I am more of a walker than a runner. I am going to finish the program though. I am planning to run in the Race for the Cure in DC June 6th, so at the very least I am going to try to make that.

Maybe that blasted bug will bite me by then.:banana:

If he gets you, make sure you catch him and send him to me!

June 6th is the date that I am running my first 1/2 marathon. I don't know how much of it I will be able to run at this point. Paul and I need to get back on track and get on our regular schedule.

Good evening all! I have not been on this thread in awhile.

Welcome to all the new cruisers! I'm looking forward to getting to know everyone.

Since I last posted, I have read all the posts since I am on vacation. Such a chatty bunch. :goodvibes

Jen - You have done a fabulous job with the website. Congratuations on your first 5K.

Kristen - Thank you for referring me to Carol. We rebooked through her. We have a new cabin # which I wil email to Jen to update the website.

I cannot wait until the cruise! Our next cruise is the member cruise in Sept. and then this one. I want to line up another one. I work for vacations. What can I say!?! :confused3 DH says wait until we finish this vacation before I start panning another one. :rotfl:

Marsha - Thank you on both accounts. I love making the website and it helps me pass the time while waiting for the cruise.

Paul and I really enjoyed our 7K race. We are registered for a 5K on April 17th and then a 1/2 marathon on June 6th. The races are fun, the training is a bit of a struggle right now.

I can't wait to hear about your cruise in September! I bet you are excited to have a cruise this year and next year!

I am very excited about having a cruise this year and next. It had been so long between our first Disney cruise (2002 honeymoon) and our second (2009) that we are making up for lost time.

Two races lined up that is fantastic. :thumbsup2 I am sure you will get back in the groove of training again soon. Though I am not training, I can relate. Sometimes, I want and even enoy exercising and then other times it is a STRUGGLE.

Hi Everyone.

Marsha, glad it worked out with Carol. Everyone, I know who books with her loves her. She is Great. I went out with two friends tonight and one of them is going to book with her as well!!:thumbsup2:thumbsup2

I have to have my iPod or else I would go insane, my battery died half way through my last run and I was wondering how I was going to make it home!

WooHoo! only 70 more weeks!!!!

I am the same way. I need the quick music playing so that I can find the energy to run!

Hello Everyone. Bet you all thought I dropped off the face of the earth.:goodvibes

Getting ready to leave for our favorite place in the whole world - Yup Disney - we leave a week from today. :yay: Our vacation with Kristin and her family overlaps 2 days so we are going to meet them for lunch one day. Really looking forward to that. :woohoo:

This trip is with the dance troupe as I have mentioned before and involves Sea World, Universal, Two days dancing in downtown Disney, and a DJ Dance Party for the kids. Needless to say my DH is having trouble planning because it will not be all DISNEY and we have other commitments.

Some how I will get him through this.

Jen - congratulations on your running. Keith is actually trying to get ready for a 1/2 marathon in Disney January 2012. I will be the one cheering him on.

Have a magical day!! Janeanne

Now we have a sample Remy Menu!

http://www.facebook-disneycruiseline.com/photos/remymenu.jpg

I bet it changes before our cruise!

I have to say that after looking at the menu (even though I know it will likely change before we sail), I am unlikely to want to eat there. I am somewhat picky, and I wouldn't eat 4 out of the 5 things listed there. At V&A, there are always choices and I can find something to eat. If this stays at one option, it won't be worth it for me unless I hear that they are very open to making special things like V&A was. My hubby would like it, but he is much more adventurous than me, so I am sure there will be a huge audience for it!
