Randy - I hope you have a great Tuesday as well! How is the snow?

It is snowing again in Minnesota and blowing like mad...but of course we do not get to have a snow day or even start late.

The thought of our cruise and the AquaDuck will get me through though!

No snow out here in SoCal unless you are in the mountains. The snow looks amazing for the rest of you all. It's nice to look at from thousands of miles away..

We are going to get a little bit of rain today maybe 1". Don't think it will be a big deal though. Fortunately we don't live in the hills where the mudslide troubles are. La Canada area lost 9 homes a couple of days ago. No thanks!

You guys had snow today? It's so wierd how we can be so close, but our weather so different!! We haven't had any snow since early last night. I left Rogers 45 minutes later today and got to work 5 minutes earlier LOL. I still saw just as many accidents though, 6 of them. 5 of them before I got out of Rogers!

We told our kids as soon as we booked. Planning vacations are a family activity here. Sometimes it comes down to an old fashioned vote, too! This year it came down to going to Vero or WDW. Believe it or not it was 3-2 vote in favor of WDW (we have a couple of beach lovers here!).

As far as ADRs go.... we're pretty much set for our trip. I absolutely can't stand having to book these things 180 days out either! But then I see/hear all those people walking up to Le Cellier and being turned away and realize it's a necessity at this point. This time around we're doing Boma, Teppan Edo, Rose & Crown (perfect place to watch Illuminations!), 1900 Park Fare, Spirit of Aloha Show.... and probably a few that I can't recall off the top of my head.

Last year I book a couple quick days after the cruise, but since it was last minute what a pain getting the ADR's got most of what I wanted , but I had to keep checking back each day, a royal pain.

It is freezing here today.................................................................................................


Just finished making cupcakes for the twin's class today going in @ 1:30 to read a Valentine's Day Story and to bring them in cupcakes!!

Last year I book a couple quick days after the cruise, but since it was last minute what a pain getting the ADR's got most of what I wanted , but I had to keep checking back each day, a royal pain.

If you don't mind eating early most places will take you as a walk up right when they open. I've even gotten in to garden grill as a walk up right at 4:00pm. So if you can't get an ADR that you really want keep that in mind.
As for Randy I'm soooo jealous of you for living in SOCAL! I used to live in Oceanside and I swear one day I will get back there! I love the San Diego area. Wish I was there now, more snow comming this afternoon. I am glad school is closed when it snows out here, we're such babies when it comes to snow and nobody knows how to drive in it out here!

We are home no snow here but looks like some will fall on Wed. Not happy to be home that is for sure. I need to get up early and make some cupcakes for the kids class tomorrow..........I got home and then had to run to a Board Of Education Budget Meeting nothing like coming right home back to reality. I was not even home an hour and had to run out to it.........UGH!!

Loved flying South West though!!

Amy, the crowds were very low. Not long wait times for any rides at all...............

Loved being at OKW, they rooms were nice and BIG......

Coming back from any vacation stinks.

I am glad the crowds were low. Never staid at OKW but I did hear they were bigger rooms than all the others.

Our school district has a "wellness" policy - there is no chance of a cupcake making it in the front door there ever again!

It stopped snowing here, but I came home to a huge mound at the end of the driveway from the plows. Urgh.

Erika--Glad it stopped early for you.

Kristin--We have no treats for birthday policy here too. They get to sit at a special table for lunch and the younger kids get a hat.

Just found out that my insurance won't cover up to the half of my dd's orthodontia. Urgh.

At our school kids are allowed to bring in what ever they want for their B-days and then if there are left overs they get to walk around to the other teachers that they like and take them cupcakes or brownies or what ever. I think they are trying to fatten us up!

We woke up to the monster plow pile this morning. For some reason they didn't plow at all yesterday, until the middle of the night! My neighbor plowed out the hydrant in our yard last night, then the plow dumped a good 8 foot pile on it.

My kids are older, I am not even sure what the rules were, but I'm pretty sure we couldn't bring anything not commercially prepared.

My dental covers ortho up to 50% (yeah, with a max of $1000). Show me an ortho that does braces for $2000, ours were $5400!

Wow braces are expensive! I'm sure glad my kids take after my husbands side of the family as far as teeth go. Only one of the seven of them needed braces. My teeth on the other hand were so bad I had braces twice and they still aren't perfect. Just got the call from the school.... cancelled tomorrow too. Anyone want to take bets on weather they go at all this week? This is their happy dance every time the school calls.

one of the benefits we have of our kids being spaced out by a few years... DS(14) will have his braces off in 2 months.... DS(10) will have his on sometime this year.... then DD(5) will bring up the rear.... it's like we are in a perpetual payment plan with our orthodontist!

We were spared the last storm but not this time around school has already been cancelled here!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Welcome home Kristin! I hope your dd is feeling much better now. Sorry you had to come back to the real world so soon. That is hard!!! Can't wait to hear all about the trip.
