Count us in for the August 16, 2011 cruise. We saw the promo on the Disney Parade on ABC Christmas Day and booked the following day!

We are:

Me
DW
DD (11 at time of cruise)

Unfortunately, we are from Cleveland and Browns' fans so we aren't enjoying the playoffs as much as others.

:-(

Looking forward to chatting with everyone and looking forward the fantastic cruise. Can't beat 2 days at Castaway Cay on the newest boat!!!!

Welcome! Can't wait till we cruise! My odd will be 10 at the time of the cruise.

We were watching the vikes play yesterday too. I hope they can beat the Saints. Stay tuned. My book club is meeting Sunday during the game--I wonder what we will be watching!?!?!

We have been so spoiled this weekend with the weather--30s!!!! We went ice skating a couple of times and I took my odd downhill skiing one day. She loved it and wants to go all the time. We will see when we go again. We want to go tubing sometime too. I hope the weather stays.

Good luck with everyone's diet. I always have good intentions which usually are short lived. Maybe if I had a goal, but our big trip this year will be to Mount Rushmore--not much motivation.

Have a great week everyone!
Amy

Some of you may know that Candy and I are doing the Wonder Panama Canal cruise 1/6/11. A while back we heard rumors of a possible "surprise" at some point of the cruise. Yesterday I asked again on that thread if anyone had heard anything new and this is what I got....

Randy. Well here is what I know, of course things may change due to unforseen constuction or other problems that may arise, the Dream will be at Port Canaveral on 1/4/11. It is right now going to do a short travel industry Cruise. Now here is were things get interesting. This is to be five night cruise as of right now. Now on the same day we are at CC the Magic is in Nassau and the Dream is to just be sailing. The Magic is to leave Nassau for Port C at 2 P.M. Now if you look at a map there is no reason what so ever it needs to leave at 2 to get back to Port C on time. I think all their ships will be at CC around 4 in the afternoon for a photo shoot. Only time they will have all their ships together. We will be docked and the other two will just be off shore of the breakwater. This is just my guess. I ran it by my friend at DCL. He has not been told anything, but thinks I nailed this one. We shall see.

This hopefully, potentially, will be a once in a lifetime photo op at CC. Plus getting to see a modern day enginering marvel in the same 15 night cruise. If anyone would like to join Candy and I, please do!!!! Hint, hint...you all know who you are!!!!!

OMG! If you are right on this...we expect tons of photos!!!! What a unique situation!

I dream of taking a Disney Panama cruise but it seems that they are always at times where a teacher would never be granted that kind of time off. So I will have to continue to dream.

Can't wait to hear about your cruise though!
Jen

Jen, our fingers and toes are crossed!!!! :thumbsup2:thumbsup2

Randy, Take lots of pictures and post them here for us if that really does happen! I have heard that the Wonder and Magic have been there at the same time not both docked but both near eachother. I actually had that PC booked but my hubby freaked out when I told him I was going to pull the kids from school and home school them for a month. It really was the perfect cruise since we live on the east coast and my mom lives in Ca. I guess it really wasn't that realistic, I was just blinded by my Mickey DNA. Plus the $6,000 price tag wasn't that helpful in convincing him either!

Yeah...it is kinda pricey. Candy and I had to go to an inside cabin for a total of around $4,200. Not bad for 2 people for 15 nights. Being part of alot of the "firsts" for the Wonder will be great. Living in the LA area we couldn't resist being part of taking the Wonder to it's new home.

BTW...a group of Disers are planning on having an onboard school or study group each day. Disney has agreed to allow parents/teachers and the kids to use areas of the ship to use each day for "school." Good idea for those families that were worried about school.

Oh my gosh Randy and Candy that is AWESOME!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

It would be awesome....we'll see if it all happens. Plus three ships sounding three horns, that would be cool!!!!!!!!

Hi everyone! I had to rescue us from page 2!! :scared1:
Where is everybody??
It is pouring outside!! Yesterday we recieved almost 2 inches in almost as many hours. That's a lot for us. There have been a few mudslides in the burn areas, but nothing too serious yet. I recieved a call from DD's school cancelling the parent council meeting this week because of bad weather. Only in California, do things get cancelled due to rain! LOL
But to their defense, her school is up in the hills which were burned in a fire about 3 years ago, so there could be mudslides in that area too.
I hope everyone is having a great week!!

Thought we were being quiet, but we were just booked on a 7 night Eastern for March and there has not been one post in 4 days over there!!:confused3:confused3

Less then 66 days until we sail and there is very little if any conversations going on!!!:scared1: Where are all the DISers??

Hello Everyone!

Our family will be on this cruise as well. This will be our 4th Disney cruise (last one was in 2006, have been waiting for the new ship).

It will be myself (we will be celebrating my 46th birthday which will be on 8/15/11), DH, DS (16 at time of cruise) & DD (11 at time of cruise).

When I booked, I was booked a CAT 6B GTY, just checked my reservation (since I saw everyone posting their room numbers) and I saw that we have been assigned room 7184. Does anyone know where that is located? I really don't care, as long as I'm on the ship.

Nothing like wishing my life away, but I wish it was 8/15/11 right now!

See everyone on the ship!

Hi, everyone! I hope is everyone is having a great week!
Randy, Thanks for the DVC Hawaii link, I hope to get a chance to go there someday. I know it doesn't open untill 2011. Are you going to buy points there? :) That is exciting news about your Panama cruise. I would love to go on a Panama Canal cruise one day. I'm not a teacher, like Jen, but there is no way I could pull my DS(9) out of school for that long. I wish they would do it when school was out. Oh well, you will just have to take lots of pics to show us. That will be cool if all 3 ships are together at one time!

Hi and :welcome: My birthday is Aug. 15th too! It will be the big 4-0 for me. But that's cool that we'll both be celebrating on the same day. We'll have to have a B-day coctail together.

I've been on this thread all night! Reading everyone's posts is getting me really excited!

Will absolutely love to have a drink to celebrate our birthdays!

Going to Disney World in April 2010 will have to satisfy me until August 2011.

Are you going to be at Disney for Easter? We are going to be there for spring break March 28-April 2! I have a DS who will be 10.5 on the cruise!
