Slighty overcast but cold day in upstate NY. My toes are cold! I need to stick them in some warm sand on a beach!!

I would love to be at a beach now!!

its even cold here in Florida. I had to go out last night and buy my kids long sleeve shirts and jackets. We are so used to wearing shorts/t-shirts all year long that they didnt have any. Of course the only stores they would even consider looking in were Hollister, Aeropostale and American Eagle Outfitters - darn spoiled kids!!!!

I hate the cold. I moved here to Florida from NJ 4 years ago and the year round warm weather was a huge reason.

We would love to make a move like that just wish DH could find a decent paying job down there. I hate the cold winter.

We have been giving serious consideration to making a similar move.... if I never have to hear about a Nor'easter again in my life I'd be happy!!

I second that I would not be sad if I never saw snow ever again!!!!!

Yes, it is chilly here today! I am pretty close to you winnyis... we are in Wesley Chapel. I was freezing walking the dogs this morning at 6am!! But the afternoons have been beautiful the last few days. Moved here from NY 2 years ago. We are on our way to WDW for the wknd, so I may actually appreciate the cooler temps, instead of the hot, sweaty trips we usually have!

Good paying jobs arent too easy to come by. I was VERY lucky because my employer was looking for people to transfer to Florida and paid everything related to our move. Plus they let me keep my NJ salary which is awesome. My husband had to give up his job of 18 years to move - he was happy to do it - even though he made great money he was miserable. Thankfully he did find a job here that pays well. The quality of life down here is so much better.

I hope I never see snow again.. highly overrated. Spending Xmas eve sitting in the hot tub with a santa hat is however not overrated - LOL

Morning all! I am in Minnesota, so I can usually top anyones cold temps in the winter LOL. I hate it, brrrrrrrrrrrrr! It's been very nice the last week though, so I won't complain much, but the summer was cold, and October was cold too!! September was decent LOL.

There are a few of us from Minnesota and I agree...we have ICKY COLD weather! Even though the week was nice, all I see today is cloudy skies and the wind is cold and strong.

DH and I are actually using this year to do serious reflection about where we live and consider Florida as a place to move. I don't like the cold weather at all! Each week we change our minds...one week we think we are for sure moving and then the next we don't really want to go. It is a big decision.

That's been the big hold-up for us - and since the economy bottomed out it's been even worse. But to find a job where I could keep my NJ salary?!?! That would be awesome!!!

The quality of life in NJ really has declined and people are leaving the state because it's just too expensive to live here. Throw in all the political corruption, too!! I guess there's a positive and negative argument for any place really, but it'd be nice to not have to pay that monster property tax bill anymore!!

Cold, wet, windy here in the Northeast USA, too! Not looking forward to winter at all this year for some reason....

Your winters would be a lot harsher than ours, we never see snow unless you count one small flurry last winter where about a quarter of an inch of snow lasted on the ground for about an hour

We were there two weeks ago and it was unseasonably hot but we weren't complaining as it was nowhere near as humid as the summer. That dose of sunshine will keep me going for a while

Where in Ireland do you live? We went there a while back with some friends who are from there!!

We're in Co. Kilkenny which is about 70 miles south of Dublin

It's pretty nice here in Southern California!! Our temps are suppose to be in the high 60s, but it's very sunny out so I wouldn't be surprised if the temps reached the 70s. The weather has been nice but I'm looking forward to cooler weather. We get as hot as Florida, minus the humidity.....although we are suppose to get rain next week. I'll believe it when I see it!! LOL

That is our dream that they will ask for Bruce to transfer and that he can keep his current salary. His company knows that he would gladly take a transfer down there. But being in insurance it is hard to find a job that is not a comission based job.

I would love to spend Christmas in a hot-tub.......

Where in NJ do you live - I lived in the Princeton Area and then moved to Burlington Township. My family is all still there in Marlton, Chatham, Hillsborough.
