Hi all! Survived Monday!! :)

Trying out streaming movies with Netflix via the Wii tonight... Thought it might be kind of slow or something, but it's perfect!!

Cool, how does that work? Do you have to have a Netflix account, is it the same one that has movies that come in the mail? We used to do Netflix but we didn't ever rent enough movies to make it worth it. Our local redbox is only $1 a night.

Unfortunately it is not the full Netflix library (i.e. new releases aren't on there yet). They do have a ton of movies & TV series available to watch instantly though. I believe they offer the service for all the game systems, too. For the Wii - they send you a disk, you put it in, and then off it goes. Movies in your Netflix que (instant viewing) are shown on the Wii or you can search for others.

While the selection isn't 100% perfect, I think that this technology is going to grow, etc.

As far as Netflix - we dropped to a lower plan because we never had enough movies to rent like you. In the winter, while running on the treadmill I watch a lot of movies so it was good to have. I've also use the Redbox as well - that's very inexpensive as well.

Ohhhhh! We got our disc last week, but I haven't had time to try it. I am totally excited about it!

That sounds interesting. I guess you have to be a member to get the disc to be able to do this? We might have to jooin Netflix and check it out. We don't rent many movies though, so it might not be worth it. We use on demand through our cable. That works well.

Kristin--Welcome home! Sorry the weather is chilly. You should do a TR....it's fun to read about other people's trips!:)

Hi all - feels like I have been MIA for a long time.

Just got back from my trip to Hawaii on Sunday. What an amazing vacation.... only thing that sucked was that LONG plane ride home. You really get spoiled by living 2 hours from the port and not having to fly for vacations. I was all worth it and Im glad I finally got to go.

Now that its over I can start focusing on this cruise. I am still hoping to squeeze in one more DCL cruise either late fall or early spring for DH and I so we will be platinum when we cruise the dream in August.

I can certainly relate to all those parents that juggle sports schedules. I have a 15 year old DD and 12 year old DS and between them we have practices 5 nights a week and that will be 6 nights a week starting in August. Sometimes takes some serious juggling to get everyone where they need to be on time.

Anyway hope to reconnect with this group again... sounds like alot of you have gotten really friendly since we booked this last fall.

Hey Candy and Ginny.

Ginny, your trip to Hawaii sounds WONDERFUL. WE soo want to do DVC Hawaii some day soon along with a trip to visit Randy and Candy!!

Hi Ginny!! Sounds like a great trip!! We have never been to Hawaii. Would love to go someday!!

Us too. How are you?? Miss ya!!

Doing good. Randy bought a new laptop so now we don't have to fight over the computer. LOL
He decided he likes the old laptop better, so I guess the new one is going to be used by me.

How are you doing? Is it still cold?

Why, does he not like the new lap-top??

It is a bit warmer today!!

It's a little different. The new one doesn't have that red little mouse in the middle of the keyboard. Randy is use to that mouse. So he told me I can use the new laptop and he will take the old one.

It is definitely nicer than our old one.

Hi Ginny, I was just thinking that I hadn't seen you around here lately and then here you are. Glad you're back, and glad you had a great time in Hawaii. Which island did you go to? We went to the big island when we went. It helps with the flight when you spend a couple of days in CA before and after your trip. It really does make a difference with the long flight.

We spent 7 nights on Oahu and 2 days on the Big Island. We really enjoyed all the "stuff to do on Oahu". We took surfing lessons, hiked Diamond Head, Pearl Harbor, Dole Plantation, Snorkeled, and Polynesian Cultural Center. My kids loved it. On the big island we went to Volcanos National Park, the black sand beach, rainbow falls and the Natural Hot Springs. It was so different from Oahu but still nice.

I would love to have spent a few days in California after but we were limited by spring break time... DD is in high school and doesnt like to miss class.

Wow, you guys definately did alot in that short amount of time! I really liked the black sand beach with all the turtles, my kids thought that was cool. We also hiked the Volcano and of cource went snorkeling a few times, once with the wild dolphins which is the coolest thing I have ever done.
