;););) Some MAGIC for everyone's weekend relax !!!
Enjoy !! laura :grouphug:

I think Marco may lose his title of DGH. That was too fun from a Grumpy. ;) Thank you for putting it together and sharing. The kids & I loved it.

I have a 7 year old who is all over CC. We were in the water, making sand castles, going down Pelican Plunge, running around in Spring A Leak, shopping at Buy The Shore/She Sells and eating at Cookies BBQ. If we had a cabana we wouldn't be there at all so it didn't make sense rent something we would never use.

Wow, great video of the porthole! Makes me even sadder though that we never saw even one character! Clearly dd wasn't in her cabin except when she was sleeping!

Laura, thanks for posting the porthole video. We saw many of the same ones you did but there were a few we didn't see. My favorite is the camel and the guy from Emporers New Groove going up the edges with their backs together, that's one of my favorite Disney movies and I really like that part of the movie. When we were at CC I looked out the porthole and saw a picture comming on so I yelled to the family to look, well they looked and said "mom that's just a parasailer" :rotfl: I thought it was one of the characters that was flying off in the distance.

That was great!

A couple of questions... how did you know the characters were coming? Does it make any sound? Does it "turn off" at night (do you have to pull a curtain)?

You just had to be watching, I heard that they come on every 30 min. I missed several of them because most of them go by so quick by the time my son said "look" they were already gone. Sometimes they had the pixie dust swirl on the screen and when we saw that we knew something was comming within a few seconds. There is a on/off switch beside the bed just like the light switch.

Hi Everyone!

Just wondering did anyone come home with a little bug? My DS & DH both had a day or two of a headache and nausea. Our friend came home with a bad cold and now I am all stuffed up and kind of feel run down.

Of course we could have picked these things up anywhere (WDW, plane, airport, car service, etc) but I was just curious.

All 4 of my kids developed head colds a day or two after arriving home. I am sure the lack of sleep on the cruise didn't help their immune systems. I just hope they feel better before school starts on Tuesday.

YES!!!! Head cold for us. We deduced that Nassau was the culprit  (3 days incubation)
I started getting it on Sunday (8/21) as we re-boarded for the B2B - had it for 3 days (3rd day was AWFUL) then DBF caught it and was laid up with HIGH fever at the Poly on 8/25 but got better and was able to enjoy the resort before we came home last night.

We have been getting rain all day today. We are all prepped and ready if the stormy weather were to get worse. I thought we had left this all behind when we moved out of Florida! ;)

One of our friends has been complaining about post nasal drip/throat scratchiness. I've had occasional dizziness, comes out of no where. I've had what I believe is Vertigo before so I'm thinking that's what this is and not that I haven't gotten my land legs back, especially since the seas were relatively calm last week.

Missy and I have had a similar Vertigo feeling, but what is weird is it started a couple days after getting off the ship which seems to fall in line with the incubation theory stated early. I am still lightheaded and have minor stomach pains.

Hubby feels flu-like. Interestingly, he also said he got sick after our last cruise. I've been fighting SOMETHING the past few days, but haven't surrendered yet.

How interesting! I would I have thought that all of those sani-wipes would have kept us germ free!

Hope everyone feels well soon!!

Hanna did not feel well yesterday while we were at EPCOT!! I am not sure if it was cruise related or not!!

Hope everyone feels better soon!!

Storm is still 180 miles from us and it's already brutal here. Tornado warnings are popping up all over the place. Authorities are advising people to sleep in their basements due to tornado risks?!?! Gonna be a long night.

As far as feeling ill after the cruise, I started to feel a bit run down with that scratchy throat feeling, but I shook it off.

High winds here and raining since late morning. Bummed that our beloved vacation beach spot of Sandbridge (just south of VA Beach) has been really hit hard by the storm and the surge. Just saw photos on tv of beach houses there under water. Just hope that people in hard hit areas made the decision to evacuate early. Very dangerous when Mother Nature rears her angry head....

Stay Safe everyone!!! Hope you all don't get much damage!!!!

We had a lot of wind and rain but no damage! :thumbsup2 My power was only out for a few hours early this am (4:30-8:30) which was good.....but then the cable and internet were out all day!! They came back on around 8 tonight. It was really windy all day though.

Laura, thanks for posting the video!

BE SAFE :grouphug: and keep us posted !!!

As far as ... post -cruise illness ... I have developed a bad sinus-allergy ... :rotfl::rotfl: but DGH says that :rotfl2::rotfl2: I AM ALLERGIC TO GO BACK TO SCHOOL !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :confused3

:yay: GLAD you all liked DGH's video !! laura

I had stomach issues too (Thursday-Friday), but didn't think to connect the two...

I think we've been downgraded to a tropical storm. A lot of wind but not terrible amounts of rain here. Our front lawn is a mess, but the back is looking pretty good at the moment. Of course I didn't sleep well last night, kept waiting for something. Around 2:15 am I heard what sounded like a branch snap but never heard it hit the ground. Hubby thinks it was next door. I slept fully clothed and after hearing the snap even with my glasses on. My goal was to get the kids out of the house as quickly as possible if need be. Power has flickered twice but it's still on. Others in town are not so fortunate.
