August 16, 2011, Disney Dream - Part 4

Hi guys,
Well we are all packed:thumbsup2

This is our last night at home as tomorrow we'll head for the airport . We fly Thursday am.

Safe journeys everyone.

Did we ever confirm where on the dream we are meeting at2pm.

I'll try and look in later to see what's been said!

It has been great counting down with you, I look forward to seeing some at the poly resort on Saturday.

Take care and have Disney Dreams

I finally finished all of our "crafts" for this trip! Here are our FEs--finally finished? The blue one is ours--recycled from a previous cruise, and the red one is the new one I made for my parents:

Yay! Time to start packing! Oh wait... gotta do the laundry first! :laundy:

I can't believe how much more there is to do and we only have 3 days left before we leave! :scared1:

Cute FE. I made mine 2 yrs ago and I regret not making the pocket pleated to allow for bigger things. Was going to make another one for this cruise- but, just another thing I haven't gotten around to yet.

Thank you!

Yes we have EZPass. I commute to work every day on the PATurnpike so it is essential.

I checked the traffic again on my phone this weekend and it was a non-event so I'm feeling pretty good about our plan.

Everything is coming together.

I just realized that Ben (5yo) has no dress shoes. Will anyone frown on him wearing sandals (teva type) or black sneakers to dinner? :confused3 Or do I run to Payless and see if they have something?

I agree with a lot of the others. My boys are 15 and 11 and I would let them wear sandals.

Here is a great site if anyone wants to print off the deck plans to bring along -

http://www.cruisedeckplans.com/DP/Main/decks.php?ship=Disney+Dream

You can add 5 decks per sheet, and it is a great reference while on board.

Thanks. We call DS15 "map boy" when we travel cause he always wants his hands on the maps. He'll love this.

I checked the weather (Weather.com) for Nassau 10 days out. Looks like a 40-60% chance of rain on Aug 17-18. Which means 40-60% chance that it is not going to rain. :thumbsup2

Wind looks like 7-10 mph. Just a breeze, not too bad!

Of course, all that could change between now and then. :confused3

She was at the port on Aug. 2nd....She said that people who are driving themselves were not allowed to line up or park much before 11~~hence the back-up that we saw pictures of she said the back-up was not much more than 5-10 minutes....People on hotel shuttles were getting dropped off right @ 11:00 and were in the terminal pretty quickly!! Not much waiting for them. People who were driven by private transportation that they were getting dropped off @ 11:00 too!! She said overall it went very smoothly and that concierges and Platnium guests were being let on between 11:45 & 12:00pm!!

She said in the event that the terminal is full to capacity people will be made to wait. DCL is still advising guests to arrive @ there designated times to ensure that things continue to run "smoothly."

Kristin, thanks for the update. :thumbsup2

It really doesn't sound too bad. Candy and I are at the mercy of the Avis shuttle. When they decide to arrive is when we will. :goodvibes

I hope we can see you guys in the terminal. But if you all are already onboard, we'll catch you later.

We'll all see each other in the morning, throwing muffins from the one hotel parking lot to the other!:rotfl2:

Hey Jen... we are going to try and meet everyone for dinner on Monday night too if you wanted to add us to the list on the meet page of the website.

I told Kristin we might be a little late because we are coming from KSC. I have her number and I'll call when we get there.

Why, why, Why..... did you post this? I found some similar on line that can be here in 2 days shipped. I am trying to talk myself out of them but I want them soooo bad.

We met a lady on the Wonder who was wearing the same pair. She said they were the most comfortable shoes!

Very cute!!!

I just got a call from DCL about the couples massages... apparently they had some glitch and allowed them to be way overbooked. I had booked one for my parents at our 90-day window, but it was oversold, so they had to move it.

There weren't any reasonable options left on the sea day, so they offered me a CC couples massage for the same price as on the ship. I took that one for them on the 2nd CC day. :thumbsup2

I would have to say that worked out in your favor!!

Hi Everyone,,

DCL just called me to let me know the updates on the new boarding times. She was soo helpful and kind to call me with the update!!

Nice that she called you with the update! :thumbsup2

This sounds great! I hope it continues to go this way. Either way....I am done worrying about it and am now just in "happy mode" as we are too close to the cruise to let anything bother me now. :goodvibes

Helen - Have a safe trip over! Please tell Marco and Laura hello when you see them at the Poly! I am excited to see all of you on the Dream!!!

Thanks. We call DS15 "map boy" when we travel cause he always wants his hands on the maps. He'll love this.

This made me laugh because my DS has an entire drawer in his desk that is FILLED with WDW maps! He also loves maps but WDW maps are his total passion! He must have hundreds of MK maps. He already printed out maps of the Dream that he has been studying! :rotfl2:

We finally made it here. Rainy today but tomorrow should be better.

Here's hoping for sunny weather! Have tons of fun!!!! :sunny:

The only thing that is going to change is that it will look better and better for us! Beautiful weather for a wonderful vacation!!! :wizard:

:lmao: I know where I will find you all then....in the parking lot!

Yea! I love pixie dust stories.

We have officially entered the 'clean out the frig because I am not going to the grocery store' phase.

And now the older two are only allowed to play Disney songs on the piano. I need The Tiki Room sheet music.
