I am so looking forward to hanging out with you guys and Kristin's family at the hotel! We were THRILLED when we found a sale price that allowed us to change our flight to an earlier time. Now we can also stop at the liquor store as well!

After 2 years of planning, it is hard to believe that it is almost here.

Our schedule is like yours...I have to get packing because we are super busy. This weekend we are out of town. Next weekend is a family reunion (again out of town) and then right before we leave we have a family wedding (again out of town). We actually only have 9 days left at home, the rest of the time we will be gone.

I am so looking forward to hanging out with you guys and Kristin's family at the hotel! We were THRILLED when we found a sale price that allowed us to change our flight to an earlier time. Now we can also stop at the liquor store as well!

Morning Everyone! Just finished my morning run...only 13 miles today!

Ordered more bags from ebags yesterday....2 lunch boxes for the kids and a toiletry kit for Emily. I was going to try to go with just the 2 toiletry kits we had but then I thought about having to share mine with my teenage daughter and decided that it would be better if we each had our own!

I have been working really, really hard at eating a bit better, drinking more water, cutting back on the snacks and exercising more (I know I do the long runs but I need to do more regular exercising on other days). I am happy to say that I have dropped a few pounds and I will keep on working hard these last couple of weeks because it is only 17 days until we leave!

We have a really busy weekend ahead. Tons of errands to do today. DH and the kids will leave to go to the in-laws for the weekend. Tomorrow morning I will be headed with some girlfriends to a cabin. We are having a girls only/bachelorette party for one of my dear friends who will be getting married in October. Her uncle is dressing up as a boat captain and will be driving us around the lake on the pontoon. Her grandma is making "grandma's slush" (a strong alcoholic frozen drink). Her aunt will be serving food. It should be a great weekend!

Time to get a bit of work done this morning though. As I was running, I wrote my whole course syllabus in my head and now need to get it on paper.

So I work for a policy research company that has about 1,000 employees. I just got an email sent to "ALL IS Staff" (I'm a DBA). The guy (who I know in passing) writes that he will away on vacation in from 08/8 - 08/16 and includes this in his signature. I almost fell off my chair. I come to find he wanted to sail on our cruise, but it was sold out so he had to settle for the 08/12 instead. Kind of funny how the subject never came up before. I thought everybody at my company knew I am a DCL Nut!

6 hours STRAIGHT of NO- STOP packing !!!
I went ahead and mostly packed also DGH big suitcase - I know he will be working late hours tonight ( and maybe also tomorrow !!).
Of course I packed lots of

tshirts for him !!

We may log in again tomorrow or Sunday ...
