If you can show up it will be wonderful :cool1::thumbsup2

but ... you are on vacation !!! No need to rush ...

RELAX and enjoy every minute ; we'll eventually see you on the Dream !!!!!

Can we still participate in the cabin tour if we are not listed on the website? If not, can we still sign up? :confused3

Thanks!

IMHO all you need to do is : just send a PM to Brenda , I'm sure she will "accomodate" you !!

SEE YOU THERE !!!!

OUR CABIN TOUR

The initial plan is
to meet at 2-2.30pm on the ship on deck 13 forward in the family zone. WHERE CURRENTS BAR IS .

At 2.30p sharp we head off to tour the cabins which hopefully should be done in about an hour.

Those who are showing, would be the Disers who volunteered their cabins to viewed.
Those who are touring will be the tourists travelling to view the volunteered cabins.
Those who want to do both will come along on the tour to see the other cabins and when we reach their cabin hopefully they will open the door so we can see theirs also.

The lifeboat drill takes place at 4pm.

The sailaway party takes place at 4.30pm. You still have time to enjoy yourself.

Hopefully as long as we don't linger too long during our tour we should be done to give everyone enough time to meet back at their cabins to pick up the rest of their family for 4pm.

This is not good news about Mk on Monday. We fly in Monday morning and need to head to MK that day. My 11 month old NEEDS a haircut and will be getting his first haircut in MK, like his 3 older siblings did. I want his hair cut before the cruise so we have to do it this day. I have visions of us using park tickets for the haircut and getting frustrated with the crowds after an early day traveling, and leave the park. That will end up being one expensive haircut.

But you will have the ears and the great memory of his first haircut! I wish I had thought to have my kids first haircuts there since both my kids have been at disney since they were babys. We are going Monday because it's my B-day on Monday and that's where I want to spend it even if it means crowds. Like Jen said we go early anyway and get the biggies out of the way early and get lots of FP's.

I picked up our cruise docs from our TA yesterday. Other then the luggage tags, there is nothing I need to bring to the cruise is there? I don't want to haul extra stuff with us if I don't have to :) .

Finally the backlog of all the mail in Canada has seemed to clear out and all the stuff I ordered from the US at the beginning of June has arrived! I can now finish the last of the FE's.

Getting close to the 2 week mark for us leaving for Florida... can't wait to sit by the pool at the house and relax :).

Have someone get fastpasses for one of the big rides while you are doing the haircut. There are so many places in MK that are great for going to while you are waiting for fastpass times...the TTA, Laugh Floor, Mickey's Philharmagic, Hall of Presidents, , etc. We really watch the things that we really only have to wait for about 30 minutes. You will just have to use as many fastpasses as possible and hit things as early as possible. Still, you will be at the MK so ENJOY! :goodvibes

Glad you like them. I was trying to get everyone's to them before the cruise.

They are great! Thanks again for doing all the work associated with them!

I am so happy that they came for you! I know you don't have to have them but there is something about knowing they are there that makes the vacation feel so real! Enjoy your last days!!!

That is a long time to get things! I would not do good with that as I am sure I STILL have things to order and will need them before the cruise! :rotfl:

Well, DS and I have been at the cabin for 3 days. We have had really hot weather, sticky air with high humidity, horrible storms, cool sticky air that turned hot again, tons of horse flies that have bit us to pieces and a leach stuck on Ben. We have watched many movies, worked on a puzzle, soaked in the lake, gone fishing, went on a bike ride, visited the local potter, played card games and enjoyed relaxing together. We both have new scratches, many scabs from itching our bug bites and sunburn. It is time to go home. :rotfl2:

We have cleaned the cabin this morning and are getting ready to go get DD from dance camp. While it has been a great time, we are looking forward to being back home tonight!! :lmao:

It is... but since our postal system posties went on strike, then were locked out for a number of weeks.. that's how it goes sometimes ;)

This time, in three weeks time our plane should be coming in to land!!!

(how sad am I:rolleyes1, I feel like a little child the night before Christmas)
I'm so ready for this vacation;)

Yeah, you and everbody else on this thread!! :lmao:

I can't wait for the "I'm too excited to sleep night".

Our hotel is close to Times Square , so we would like to WALK to our dinner venues , this is -I guess - an Italian habit , we don't like to drive after our meals !!!!! :rotfl2::rotfl2:

Marco and I would like to try a restaurant where NYC people go and eat !! :)

Yes , we are doing the China town food tour !! So far all reviews on TripAdvisor are excellent !
I'll post how it was - when we get back to Italy.

 laura

The Times Square area is a tough one (for me at least) - so many chain restaurants and tourists, etc. Though the pizza place I think I referenced in an earlier post (John's) is in that area! So is Carmine's - which we go to if we are traveling in a large group sometimes. Other places that we've been in that area - Trattoria Trecolori, Churrascaria Plataforma (but you need to really love meat and eat here on an empty stomach :lmao:), if you want a big, fat, heart attack-inducing sandwich there's the Carnegie Deli! :rotfl:

Good Evening Everyone,

Another HOT day today!! Had FUN hanging out by pool today!!

It's awful out again today, too! Jake and I went to a soccer game in Philadelphia last night (our favorite English team, Everton, was playing) and it was sooooo uncomfortable.

Then, there is something wrong with me too! We are always talking about the cruise now.

Carnegie Deli - -haven't been there in years! If you do go, plan to share a sandwich and then some. I've often shared a sandwich with 3 other people and it was still a good size.
