Totally not too early to make a packing list....I might even start PACKING next week!
I thought it was too quiet!I'm also making a packing list...Each cruise I try to cut things out. I've been getting better.Packing cubes have been amazing for packing less, and they are also so convenient because you can just place the cubes right into the drawers and the steamer trunk.
We were not really happy with our stateroom assignment as we were GTY and did not get to choose which room to stay in. I contacted the travel agent to see if we could move up to an 11A OR 11B so we could select which room to be in and she said the remaining ones would also be GTY. So I kept checking the DCL site everyday to see if anything opened up. I finally saw that all 3 category 11 options were available. But when I emailed the agent she said all were still GTY. She said the best thing we could do if we wanted a change was to go back in the GTY pool to see if we could get a better room. So, we are now back in the GTY pool. We'll see what we get. Since we really didn't like our original assignment, whatever else we get can't be much worse. Who knows, I'm just keeping my fingers crossed now and hoping for the best.

I am totally annoyed! For some reason I am not getting my instant notifications that everyone is chatting without me!
OMG....I am LOVING this weather! I could deal with this heat all the time and am thrilled we are the hottest city in the country today. I am not so happy that DH turned on the air conditioning. I would like to just soak up the heat and enjoy it all.
Just know that I will be sad when it is back in the 60s.
I might have to look into the packing cubes. I am getting better at packing but know that I could still pack 1/2 of what I normally do.

I am totally stalking the DCL site!
I know it is a long shot but I am hoping to be the one who gets lucky if anyone cancels a cabana at Castaway Cay for any reason. My hope is that someone who was able to book early changes their mind about their reservation. I totally appreciate that DCL lets concierge and people who have cruised a lot be the ones to book right away, but there are times like this that it is hard to be the one to book excursions after everyone else.
I know there are many of us hoping to get to get a Palo reservation or for me, a cabana reservation....so good luck to us all!

Hello all!! We are still in AZ enjoying our time with family. But we got a disturbing phone call from our neighbor. Two guys were in our backyard, right at our back door, then they moved to the back of the house, like they were looking for a way in. We asked the neighbor to call 911, and the police came but they were gone by then. The police were let into our house by our neighbor, and they checked to make sure our house was secure. We were told by another neighbor that he had seen them knock on our front door, and when we didn't answer they went straight through the gate and into our backyard. Talk about feeling helpless. Here we are 400 miles away and there is nothing we can do. I hope they decide not to come back. We are going to be pretty uneasy until we get home on Friday.
I think we are going to have to invest in an alarm system now.

I looked at them as well. They do seem to be a nice organizational tool when packing. I have to say that I am one of those people who use ziplock baggies and am able to pack way more by compressing a lot of our clothing.
Last cruise I packed my formal dress in one and then paid to have it pressed. It worked out GREAT!
Speaking of dresses....how formal are people going to get for dress-up night?
