I'm starting to get excited about this cruise coming up!

me too!

There was a free dining offer for the period after our cruise - we'd originally booked a post-cruise WDW stay using it. Then we got a PIN code offer which saved us more money than the free dining so we switched offers. We'd originally wanted to do the part pre-cruise, but found the prices lower, the offers better, and the crowd level predictions lower after the cruise due to the "season" change at 8/15. So now we're going to Universal pre-cruise, and WDW post cruise.

We are going to Universal pre-cruise as well! I think there are several of us going from the cruise. Maybe we can have a meet! Where are you staying? We are at the HRH.

So, you may remember a while ago I found out our landlord was selling the condo we were renting... well, we've decided to bite the bullet and buy it! If all continues to go as planned, we'll be closing in the next week or so! :woohoo:
The plan is that this won't cut too much into our cruise budget... :scared1:
However, it has definitely cut into my cruise-planning time! I haven't even begun to think about FEs yet!

Good luck with your condo!
Kristin, Cute video! DS's school had a talent show a few weeks back. It's cute to see the kids get up on stage and do their thing, whatever it happens to be...dancing, piano, etc.:)

Me either!:thumbsup2
DS plays the piano, but didn't play in the talent show. I guess he didn't want to play in front of his classmates.

Good that we ducked the nor'easter this time around - nothing stuck past morning.

gotta work 24 hrs on sunday so, this weekend basically sucks

wife had her second surgery yesterday and is VERY sore ...

Wow! That's a long work day! Good luck!

I hope you wife feels better soon!

Congratulations!!!! I hope all goes smoothly!

Sincere thanks to my DIS well wishers!

Wife wanted to do the surgery before our April 16 cruise - she should be healed pretty well by then.

I am a physician and have to cover some long shifts here and there.

We have been planning our trip that is in less than four weeks. We are still trying to figure out what we are going to do in NYC for the five or so hours before our flight home. We also didn't realize that the day we will be in NYC is Mother's Day! Not sure how that is going to affect things, but I'm sure it will! :sad2:

Damn, that is a long time to work, What is your specialty?

We've booked a room at the Royal Pacific the night of the 14th mainly to get the express pass for the 14th and 15th when we plan to visit those parks. Not sure if we'll actually stay there or just use it as a day room or something. We also have rooms booked on points for the 13th-16th at the Westin Imagine and Fairfield Inn near Universal, and at the Residence Inn near the port for the 14th-16th, while we figure out the rest of our plans. (Don't really want to move rooms every night!)

I see you are staying in Orlando pre night, is anyone staying at a hotel by the port on Monday night?

I don't blame you for not wanting to change rooms every night. We are going to be at HRH 12th-15th, the night of the 15th we are going to be at the port at Country Inn and Suites. And now we are thinking about going to Orlando on the 8th (we are driving), but I'm not sure where we are going to stay.

As mentioned, the Residence Inn at the port is one of the places we have reservations at for Monday night. I'm thinking we may stay there that night, mainly so we can park at the hotel while on the ship. But it'll likely be later in the evening when we get down there, since we'll be at Universal that day.

Still debating whether the port parking and opportunity to sleep in a little bit longer is worth the hassle of moving hotels for one night.

We are booked at HRH on the 14th for the same reason! Looks like there will be alot of dis-ers at Universal the weekend before the cruise! And we are booked on points at THV on the 13, and BLT 15-16. Like you, I'm not looking forward to moving each night - but the kids are!

You only have 5 hours?

Can't say that I've been to NYC on Mother's Day, but I can't imagine that it's any better or worse than any other Sunday - unless you are trying to get dining reservations I suppose.

At least spring will have sprung by then!!! We hope! :rotfl:
