I am sure we will have more snow. Our snowblower broke, and now we do not have one. Sure hoping, our plow guy still can make it over to plow us out.

Where are you staying pre-cruise? No, more Vero Beach??
Are you doing the meal-plan for your WDW stay?
We decided this time not to do it. I have to say that I have been disappointed the last few times with the food!!
Sounds, like you have some nice ADRS!!

BLT pre-cruise now... changed from VB @ 7 months. I think we're looking at an extended Vero stay in 2012 perhaps - we really like it there.

Meal plan pre-cruise - probably, but not sure yet. Post-cruise - no (we'll be trying to shed the cruise pounds by then!! <lol>).

IMO - with the prevalence of free dining I have seen some fall off in the food quality as well. I think that is also part of the reason we struggled with our ADRs!

How long ago did you get on the waitlist??

I have the feeling that the snow is not yet over for any of us!!

How was your Valentine's Day??

Yeah, we can only hope on the snow, but I'll take a few more days of melting weather. I'm sick of having to walk to work in the street because the sidewalk is buried.

We got on the waitlist just a few days after the 7 month mark (we we on the Magic at 7 months)--trying to get a 2 bd or even a 1 bd for the wknd prior to the cruise. Right now we have 2 studios, but I really want the full kitchen.

Valentine's Day was simple but nice-- Monday is a long day at work for us, so we stopped at our favorite "quick-service" (Chipotle) for dinner and our favorite ice cream shop. :)

I'm currently agonizing over airfares to WDW in March--anyone have an opinion on AirTran vs JetBlue?

Although we will likely continue to post on this thread as well, I am posting to say that we have set up a parallel thread, deliberately undated....simply for communication sakes for a number of families who know each other well and we would feel like we were imposing by joining en masse to this well established thread...we do not want to offend anyone and I expect we will want to participate in FE's and other scheduled activities.

However, anyone here is welcome to post on the other thread as well and we truly hope we have not offended anyone.

Chuck:cool1:

No offense here either. I have set up a group on FB for our friends who are travelling with us (though anyone is welcome to join) since they are not on the DIS. But, don't be a stranger. I really enjoy getting to "meet" people before the cruise, so, tell your friends to stop by and say hello too.

:love::love::love::love:
I am taking down all of the valentines scattered around the house and I see that St. Patrick's day is the next holiday bin to open up for decorations. Hopefully that one won't have as much sugar connected to it. The girls dove into all of their valentine cards yesterday while I wasn't looking and experienced quite a sugar high. Not quite as bad as Halloween -- but close!

Chuck.... These guys have a great group !! Looks they have a lot going on.... Hope you might also check us out on the other thread.

Not offended here. I appreciate your honesty. You are all very welcome to post on this thread and we would love for you to be a part of any activity planned.
I personnally only know a couple of people that are on this cruise, but I am looking forward to meeting others and making new friends.
I hope that no one in your group feels unwelcome or out of place here. My thought is the more the merrier.
Looking forward to meeting and getting to know all who post. :goodvibes

Thanks so much...

Several of us have cruised together 4 and 5 times... The kids have Disboard Names also and they like to post also with the group. We look forward to have a great cruise with everyone !

:goodvibes:goodvibes I too think that ANYONE IS VERY WELCOME to post on this thread as well , at any time !!! :grouphug::grouphug:

OH boy, 26 weeks, I better get cracking on my planning!!!!!!!!!!! Now that my last Disney trip is done, maybe I can find time.
But doing Universal is a whole new thing too, it's like planning two brand new trips at once!!!

DGH and I eventually could book our flights NYC - MCO Orlando : :banana::banana::banana::banana:

Not sure if we secured the best available rates - but we NEED to have on-time connections with our flights from / to Europe ... so I'm happy we are set now !!

We will be arriving late night into Orlando , so we will also book that first night at the airport Hyatt !!! :thumbsup2
It looks everything is coming together ...:rotfl: one step after another !!!

:yay: laura

We arrived late last time, and stayed at the Hyatt. I loved staying there, we stayed coming in and going home. I would like to stay there again sometime.

:goodvibes You will LOVE Universal !!!!!!
Are you staying on site ?

( We always do ; it's a bit pricey , but you don't waist ( in the "traffic" around the parks ) a minute of your precious vacation time ! ).

Have fun planning !! laura :lovestruc

We are planning to stay on site, but OMG, they are soooooooooooo expensive! At least Disney has value resorts. Universal resorts are ridiculous!!!

Hi,

We are going to do Universal after the cruise too. We visited US back in 2003 (i think) but have never visited IOA or citywalk.

I really need to plan this part of the holiday .

Im a bit of a wimp - ok I admit - IM a big wimp (that gets motion sickness) can any one advise what are the not so scary rides lol:laughing:

IM looking forward to Harry Potter world.

Also is there a good restaurant you would advise? (sorry Laura , no Italian due to Dave not liking cheese, tomato, pasta or Pizza):scared1:

Do you need to book like at wdw?

Today I confirmed our town car request and also made an appointment at the passport office for next week as mine has ran out;)

Thanks guys for your help:thumbsup2

Is this going to be your first time staying @ BLT?? We are staying there for two nights in April!!

The snow piles are soo high here.

I recommend taking JetBlue, we love JB. The last time we flew AirTran they kept changing our flight times over and over. JB, you each get your own T.V.'S!! Keep the kiddos quiet!!:thumbsup2:)

LOL, I am doing the same thing today taking all of my decorations down too!!

I need to start working on my flights. The prices are soo high and the return time is not a great time!! UGH!!, What to do what to do???????:confused3:confused3
