August 16, 2011 – 7 Night Alaska Sailing

Actually, I promised I wouldn't split the list unless we got 16 families--but we just did, so I'm going to post two lists in just a moment.

I was planning to just try to balance out the two lists until the close date, if that sounds okay, but if people would feel better if we closed one list, and kept the second list open, that would be okay with me as well.

Also, if somebody really wants to be on both lists, let me know, and I'll put them on both lists.

OH! I misunderstood. I though we had closed Mickey group and were only adding to Pluto group. I guess I don't mind one way or the other. I wouldn't want cut off to be after 6/18 though.

Me neither--I plan on closing it either 5/18 or 6/18, depending upon how everyone feels about it.

I don't have a preference between the two dates, but I agree with Mrs. Gumdrop that it shouldn't be any later than 6/18.

Thanks for organizing this, Mellers :thumbsup2

You're very welcome, and thank you for the nice note!

Since I am such a huge planner, I usually prefer to know as far in advance as possible for things like this, so 5/18 to close would be my first thought...but, I also wouldn't want anyone to not be able to participate if they wanted to, and I think I could have enough time if we closed on 6/18. So whatever works for everyone else will work for me!

My vote is for 8/16. It gives time before the cruise, and time for those who are still thinking about joining in.

I got some great news, and I just had to share--I got the bloodwork back, and I have three more months on Cancer Parole--no new treatment required!

Just one more before the cruise, and I'm home free!

That's GREAT news!!! :)

Perdita&Pongo posted this message on Vancouver thread:

We are booked at the Fairmont Pacific Rim! We used the American Express New Hotels Program offer to get our 3rd night free! We even splurged and booked a Fairmont Gold room (concierge level). With the 3rd night free it's about the same price as our original club level ressie at Pan Pacific (which we've now cancelled).

So if you have an AmEx card, you might want to check this out if you are gonna be in Vancouver at least 3 nights:
