I went to WDW last year right after Labor Day and purchased an Annual Pass because I knew I'd be going back in January, if not other times throughout the year. When I returned from this trip, I booked a trip (hoping to get free dining) for August 15-19. Well, as you know, free dining does not start until later this year unless you booked through the bounceback program. When I booked this trip, I didn't know who would be going with me or if I'd be going solo. Sometime early in the year, a friend and her son decided to join me. They are big Disney people, too.

So, our cast is as follows:

Mickeefan, Julie, 43 - and I'm definately Disney obsessed. princess:
Besides the trip in September and January, I went for a solo weekend in May and I'm going twice in August! When my pass expires, I'll have gone to WDW 23 days! Definately worth the money!

DF, Nancy, ?? - definately a Disney fan. princess: Has been to Disney multiple times and has relative that are cast members currently. The last time she was there was December of last year.

DFS (dear friend's son), Brent, 10 - Brent is a special kid! pirate: He's been to Disney a lot in his short life. He'll get to miss 3 days of school this trip.

Now that we've got the cast, let's talk about the set and scenery. My original reservation was at POP Century (my new favorite value resort). However, when AP rates came out, I changed our room to POR for only $50 more! We bought our plane tickets for under $200 (which I always think is pretty good). AirTran changed our return flight time, as AirTran tends to do, so I called and for no charge we changed our flight home from afternoon to early evening. Yeah, more time in the parks!

We decided to go to the Pirate & Princess party on the 18th. I even bought a tiara to wear! :rotfl2: We'll be dining at 50's PrimeTime Cafe, Biergarten, Chef Mickey's (with some other DIS'ers) and The Plaza. I've got the Disney Dining Experience card, so we'll save 20% on those meals!

After much waiting, we're only 2 days away. Nancy had not told Brent that he was going because he doesn't have any comprehension of time. So, we met at the Disney Store at the mall yesterday and bought a couple tee shirts and an autograph book. We told him we were going on Wednesday. He said he wanted to wait 11 days. Then, when we told him we weren't waiting, he said we could leave Thursday! Well, we're leaving Wednesday anyway!

We have one other hurdle before we're on our way. Nancy discovered a week or so ago that her driver's license is expired. Not a big deal, you say? Well, it expired in 2004! :rotfl: So, on Wednesday morning, we have to go to the license branch on our way to the airport. She can't drive herself to the license branch, so I'll have to drive. She has to take the written test and the driving test because it's been expired so long. As soon as that's done, we're outta dodge!

Stay tuned for the actual trip report to follow! Thanks for reading.
