good morning all!

no tux here...just a suit & tie for DH...as for the boys, they're wearing nice navy blue/almost black khaki w/dress shirts! i LOVE having them wear matching clothes! some people think they're twins! but they look so cute w/matching outfits! (yes, i know, i'm biased!!) someone mentioned that it wasn't worth it to buy new suits for their kids just for couple of hours...i was packing our DSs dress shoes...and had them try them on. we bought fancy shoes for them last year, when we went. (like i've mentioned, we're so NOT fancy, so we don't have any reason to wear/purchase fancy clothing, unless there's an occasion, like a cruise/wedding/etc...) anyways, DS6's fit, since we bought him some new ones for kinder graduation. but DS3's didn't...and i had him try his big brother's old pair...but was a bit big. so i made a comment about having to go pick up a new pair of shoes for Jayden...DH was like, just let him wear Justin's. double up on the socks. it's only for couple hours!! so no new shoes...i just thought it was funny, when i read about "not worth it to buy new suit, for just couple of hours."

am starting to pack our day bag. that's a whole new packing! cuz i need all my "important" stuff in there...like passports/bc, docs, goodie bag stuffs, etc.

i think we're getting there around 10. i'm having our boys wear their swimming trunks...so after lunch, they can go swimming, if they want. we'll see.

Katie...you should be there by 10:30. if not sooner. saturday morning traffic is pretty light. unless of course, there's an accident or something!

Arlene...thanx for setting up the list, goodie bags & just "organizing" things! really appreciate it!

do we need BC's along with the passports?
Definitely don't put too much $$ into kids' dress clothes - those boys grow SOOOO fast - Ryan has grown so tall this year - at 13 he was 5'1 - 18 mos. later he is 5'8 maybe 5'9 - haven't measured him since 8th gr grad and he was 5'8 then. Bought his suit jacket a little large so that "HOPEFULLY" it might fit him all year long - he doesn't have to wear one too often - but his school has some events where one is required....gotta love Men's Wearhouse - they have some really decent prices

2nd suitcase down (except for the hangup clothes that go in that one!! 2 to go - 1 of shoes and the last one can't be finished till next sat a.m. makeup and stuff!!!

Earlier my kids had on the Disney Channel and they showed a quick maybe 5 minute (if that ) thing about the Make A Wish event that was held on 7/16. They showed Captain Tom on the bridge and the girl who was doing it got to sit inthe captains chair and press the horn. We were all jumping around like lunatics, LOL! Well,ok, I was.
