It looks as though the original thread was dropped off so I thought I'd see if I can get another one going.

We are close to 200 days before departure. We've made our reservations in Long Beach the night before and scheduled the Limo service to and from the hotel.

We are myself, DH, DS -11 and DD - 11

Who else is with us. The kids are getting so excited they can barely stand it.!(and I have to admit, I'm right there with them!)

Are we there yet?

My mother officially requested her passport. I found great airfare for $292 RT. I just have to get DH off his butt and make a reservation. I can't wait to start getting some info about transport to and from port and excursions.

Glad to see you on board Starwood. My DH wouldn't ever get off his lazy butt so I've had to do it myself! HAHA He got out voted on going 3 to 1, so his excitement level isn't up with the rest of us!

We booked a Limo service ProntoVIPLimo, Disney also has transportation but since we're using my airline miles for our tickets and hotel points for the hotel we are splurging on the limo.

Hopefully the excursions will be coming out soon.

Is it just you and DH, and Mom or ??

It will be me, DH, DS (who will be 13 by then) and my Mom. We are meeting up with MIL and 2 nieces in California and we are all going! My DH was like yours on our first cruise. The second one he was a little more enthusiastic about and this one was his idea. I'm hoping to get him to commit to rebooking onboard this time.

DH just signed up for a new Amex card that is supposed to give you a free companion ticket every year. We're hoping to use that for one of our fares but I'm afraid he's going to wait too long to book and I'll lose these great flights (the times are good and non-stop).

We're staying at Grand Californian Thursday and Friday so I need transport to there, then to the port and then find a rental car when we get back because we're not going to fly out until Sunday. I got a good rate from GoldenWest to DL. I may book them after we get back from WDW in April.

didn't even realized the other thread was gone! anyways, we're in with you all! just can't wait! i've already thought of rebooking...although DH isn't too fond of the idea. tried to convince him of all the $$$ we would be saving by booking on board. hmmm...we'll see! :flower:

rsjj

Maybe we could assault our DH's together. 2 arguments are better than 1. :earboy2:

oh, no need for arguments. just "discussions". hee hee. i'm sure there are more than just the 3 families...wonder where everyone is...hmmm...

have you guys thought about excursions? i know they're not out officially from dcl, but was checking out some threads/websites for info. just curious! :flower:

We've thought a lot about them, but we aren't quite sure yet what we want to do. I have a friend that owns a resort in Cabo, but Matzatlan and PV are another story.

My DH is getting a little more excited, we're trying to convice him to take another cruise with some friends in 2007, but I think he won't be totally convinced until we finish this cruise.

Looking at the other threads DS wants to do another Dolphin swim (we did the one on the Western in 2003). However he was afraid of all the fish swimming in with the Dolphin. I guess I'll think on that one. He also wants to go horseback riding (me too!). Since we've never been to any of these ports I would also consider doing some sightseeing stuff.

I can't wait for the "official" excursions to be announced.

I've never done a dolphin swim, sounds fun. Tried to call Disney today they say it will be mid-February before they are posted.

Halo Everybody: Count us in - my traveling partner is my adorable niece (9) and myself (turning the big 5-0 in Feb). This cruise is my birthday present - our first cruise ever - why not start with the best. :cool1:

It is my first for everything - newbie on this thread, cruise and the Mexican Riveria scene. Booked already with Randi's Happy Horses in Matzatlan (heard good comments):earboy2:

Welcome "aboard" alohatee! Glad to have you with us. And welcome to DIS boards! You'll learn so much information here!

Thanks for the kind welcome.

and soon it will be 100, then, 10, then, 1, and we're in!

did you guys check out the dreams unlimited site? they had the excursions for the ports in mexico. horseback riding sounds fun, but not quite sure w/ my 2 DSs. have to think about it for a bit. maybe we'll just stay on the ship & enjoy ourselves! who knows! :flower:

How wonderful!! Time has flown by considering when I made our reservations, it was May of 04. I'm waiting for the tax refund to pay off my remaining balance and have got everything else in place but the excursions. We might only do one between Mazatlan and PV. But who knows.

What I'm "thinking" of doing is the Cabo Resort Getaway (for a nice pool break), Hacienda Las Moras Horseback Riding ( in Mazatlan) and the Dolphin Swim (in Puerto Vallarta). All subject to change since I have to coordinate with MIL and nieces in California.

It seems like a lot of folks are talking about the dolphin swim, so we'll hopefully be able to check that out!!
