Oh, no! I am sorry you were unable to secure a brunch. Keep checking, because people do cancel. Otherwise, get on board as quickly as possible to see about them getting you a reservation. Good luck!!!

I was up until 1 as well. The system was giving me a lot of issues (saying my other reservation was being used and not alloqing me to login my reservation when my inlaws would have no idea how to get into the site, let alone their reservation). I ended up shutting my computer down and restarting it and then it worked.

Anyhow, we ended up with Brunch for 2 people. We wanted one for 4 since my inlaws have not had a chance to do brunch. I think we will give them the reservation if we are unable to add them once on board. I also booked tea and dinner for 4. There seemed to be plenty of those available to those that have not booked your reservations yet.

Well I've done on-line check in and booked Luke into the kids club.
We also have reservations for The Sea Lion Encounter at Nassau. :)
When I looked there were only dinner reservations for parties of 2 left for Palo - no brunch or high tea if that helps anyone.
Booking was a little easier for me due to the time difference here in the UK.
Really excited! :yay:
Has anyone else checked in?

I should be doing things around the house today, but have been reading info about the cruise all day long! It's SO addictive. I just found the thread, so thought I'd post. I'll be sailing with DH and DS who will turn 15 a couple of months before the cruise. Our other DS will be graduating this June will not be going. He's too old to be in the clubs and opted for a vacation in Mexico with my aunt and uncle who retired there. I think he's rethinking his decision as the time for cruising approaches. Both my boys LOVED the teen clubs last time we cruised.

We're on deck 9, so not close to anyone! We're excited to have a verandah for the 1st time. We sailed 3 other DCL sailings, a 3 night and 2 7 night.

I'm a teacher, too. Pretty funny there's so many of us. I'm early childhood special education teacher and teach 3 and 4 year olds, so pretty different than the rest of you teachers!

I'm from Minnesota, so only had to stay up til 11 to book ressies. I booked jet skis for the 3 of us. I'm not sure if I really want to go, been reading about how bounced around ypu get.:rotfl: I reserved Remy. We've done brunch twice (DH's favorite, he loves the bread with berries and cream) and there were no times available. I think he'll go through withdrawel. Last cruise I told the servers it was his favorite and that's why we came again and they sent him home with a HUGE doggie box. It made his day. :cool1: We've done supper at Palo and I did the tea last time with some friends I met online so that's why on a short cruise we opted to try Remy. I'm a little hesitant about spending the money, but it'll be an experience. I booked Nassau night and hope if that's not a good night I can rebook once we get on the ship and find out what our dining rotation is. I don't want to miss any of the 3 restaurants. We'll also book massages once we board. I was looking at Navigators and some of the Nassau or CC day specials looked fun. We've done the couples villa while on the Magic and some other massages, so looking to try something different (and cheaper ;) ) this time.

I couldn't book boarding time online last night either. I stayed up til 12:15 and still no luck. I got up at 7:3i0 and got a 10:30 time, so I was happy!

We're doing Universal for 2 days after the cruise, staying onsite and then a few days at WDW, staying at Wilderness Lodge.

I'm on the fence about FE. I did it on one cruise and there were so many of us, it took so long to deliver gifts (it was a really fun experience though), so will wait a bit before deciding. With DS so old, I'm on my own with the deliveries which isn't quite as fun as last time when boys were younger and into all the excitement. On a 4 night, I'm afraid there'll be so much to do and I don't want to spend a lot of time on FE deliveries. I am really interested in a meet though. Whew, sorry this got so long. I was just excited about finding this thread. DH's eyes glaze over, I talk Disney so much. Yet once we're there, he's all into it.:rotfl2: and thinks it's a great vacation.

Hi Michelle!
Welcome to the thread. I'm a huge Disney fan too and also drive Dh mad.
I'm definitely looking to book something in the spa but I'm going to wait until we board. Last year I had a rainforest pass for the duration of our cruise - this was a brilliant escape and so relaxing. Managed to persuade dh to join me too. Might look at booking a facial this time as I love Elemis products.

I've always meant to use the rainforest room on the Magic, but only did on the last night of our last cruise in 2009. It was great. I had the place to myself. I went around the first dining time being we had late dining. We definitely want to do the rainforst room more on this trip. The rainforest room on the Dream looks so neat with the loungers overlooking the water and hot tubs! We have done swedish massage and stone massage and I did the ginger lime salt glow exfoliation and 1/2 body massage. Oh my, my skin has never been so smooth. I think I may try to sneak that one in and would like to try a sampler with foot reflexology. How am I going to get it all done?:confused3 We're staying onboard at Nassau being we've been there before, so hopefully that will help.

Welcome, Michelle!:welcome:

So happy you found our thread! So funny about all the teachers on our sailing. I would love to do the rainforest, but with two little ones, it will not be happening on this cruise. Maybe when they are a little older!

One spa treatment I can't say enough about is the frangiline scalph massage. Seriously, for the price (only $26!), you get a scalph, neck, shoulder and arm massage. It feels so relaxing! Last time on the magic I did this and then had my hair blown dry just before dinner. Highly recommend it! I would love to do another spa treatment, but will wait until on board to see if there are any other specials and see if the kids are behaving well enough to leave with hubby and grandparents.

I am also a huge disney fan (especially when we are talking Disney cruises!) and drive DH and family crazy! I have already started working on some magnets for our cruise and printed a few out. So exciting!!

I hear you on the FE. It can be time consuming, but I figured once the kids are sleeping DH or I would pass them out or I would get up early and pass them out. Luckily our group is not too huge. Last time we cruised in Sept
90, we had 40 cabins! Not that was time consuming!!

Last time I woke up one morning at 5:30 to get pictures of the cruiseship without any passengers around. I loved it! It was so peaceful and I loved getting the shots I wanted without having to fight for them.

I would love to do that massage too! Is it listed now or is that available when you get on the ship?

I booked High Tea. Has anyone had High Tea before? I thought it was only on the 7 day cruises but I guess its on this one. It says no Brunch reservations available, has anyone booked a brunch or do you think they are not offering it?

Anyway getting very excited:banana::banana:

I have Palo booked for Day 1 at 8:00pm and High Tea on Sea Day at 3:00pm.

Good morning everyone and welcome castle4us!
I've been off the boards for a while and it's good to see new cruisers and the conversation picking up!:surfweb:

Our son's rugby team unexpectedly (and I do mean unexpectedly!) went to Harrisburg last week and won at the state playoffs! That meant a trip to Philly yesterday for the championship. These are wonderful high school boys but really a bunch of goofballs and knuckleheads. No one ever expected them to make it this far. We had to rent a bus and driver at $3.600.00 and pay for hotel and food for 24 boys. Because we never expected them to go anywhere we were scrambling, with no time to fund raise! We tried to rent vans but it's prom season and none were available. Somehow we pulled it off and they played in Kennett Square yesterday. They made it to semi-finals and placed 3rd in the state. We're all very proud of them.:cheer2: Congratulations South Pitt Fatheads!

I too was unable to get Palo brunch but will keep trying! I booked Castaway Rays for DS and his girlfriend and snorkel gear, tube/float and bikes for them as well. Does the Dream have a rainforest room? I can't find it listed. Is it called something different? The scalp massage sounds wonderful. I may book that as well as a manicure/pedicure.

Are all the cabanas booked? Not that I was planning on getting one (or could afford one!)

I was suprised that all the cabanas were booked. We were not even thinking about it since we find the price too much considering the services it gives you.

We were able to book brunch for two people (we wanted four, but they only had tables available when I booked at midnight for 1-2 people). I made sure that was my first area to book since we only had one sea day. I would keep checking as there will be cancellations, people will change their mind, ect. I know on our last cruise people were able to secure the reservations they wanted once on board the ship.

The scalp massage is listed now, but not something you can book ahead of time since it is in the salon, not the spa area. Oh, I can't wait for it!! It is heaven.

lexandme- Wow! Congratulations to your son! That is wonderful news.

Thanks for the welcome. I haven't done a lot of planning for the cruise so far but I think booking the ressies got me going!

I have some magnets started already too! I use magnets that come in the mail and attach them wih double stick tape. I am a scrapbooker so I take the magnets off at the end of the cruise and put the pics in my scrapbook.

I may just cave and do FE, it was a lot of fun. We just had so many of us on the list last time, I think it was too overwhelming. I've got to get through the end of the school year and my son's graduation party, then I'll feel less stressed about everything.;)

I booked High Tea. Has anyone had High Tea before? I thought it was only on the 7 day cruises but I guess its on this one. It says no Brunch reservations available, has anyone booked a brunch or do you think they are not offering it?
I did tea with some of the ladies I met online in a thread like this. It was a great way to do it. DH was very happy, he said he'd do it with me but didn't want to. :rotfl: It was nice.

They made it to semi-finals and placed 3rd in the state. We're all very proud of them.:cheer2: Congratulations South Pitt Fatheads!
Congratulations lexandme. I bet that was a memorable time.

Hmm, I did that quote wrong on the first quote and it wouldn't let me go in and edit it. I can't figure that out, I was logged in. Plus, I need to relog in (if I want to post a message) each time I change pages. Any idea why? I'm not very techy.

OK, my fam has come up with:

Diehard Disney Dreamers

Disney Dreamers

Bahama Bound Buccaneers

Anymore suggestions would be great.

Hello:
Its getting exciting now, all checked in, made a few reservations. Myself and DW and 3 DD are in rooms 8063 & 8065.

Welcome Michelle!!!!

Hey Gary! You are right around the corner from us at home and on the Dream! We are in 8051 and 8053!

We liked all of the name suggestions, but if we had to pick one I think we liked Disney Dreamers the best.

We are probably paying up at the end of this week or the beginning of next... and will wait until we get on board to see if we can get Palo for dinner. We have not been yet, and want to see our dining rotation...we still are not sure what we want to give up, but we are leaning towards trying to get a late reservation on the night that we have Animator's Palate so we can go with the kids and see them in the dining room, but we would not eat with them and then go and eat dinner at Palo later. I think the food at AP was my least favorite, but we still really enjoyed the atmosphere. It is so hard to decide which meal to "give up" because there was something that we enjoyed at each one!

I am not too worried about getting a Spa treatment booked ahead of time. I was able to get one while on the 3 day when I went to the spa tour on the first day... they had a special too. It was so nice! Nick and I also got rainforest room passes for the length of the cruise...we got them especially because it was pouring our first day and we couldn't do anything outside. We were told they only sold 35 of these passes and NO ONE else could use the rainforest room so it controlled the amount of people in there...THEY LIED! In the 3 days we were in there, there were way more than 35 different people in and out of there, and they were calling people out of the RR to get treatments (which they told us they did not do.) It got crowded in there at times, of course... oh well, lesson learned. We still enjoyed it, but it wasn't exactly how they "sold it."

I asked the kids if they wanted to do the FE again, and they didn't want to....

I have never done the High Tea... that sounds like something my mom and I would like! The scalp massage sounds heavenly!!! All of this talk is making me wish my summer away just to get on the ship!!!

We are first time cruisers so can't check in or book anything until 5/29. I am really only interested in booking the Castaway Ray's at CC - so hoping we can get that b/c the kids really want to experience it. I will do the spa - but will wait and book on board. We are skipping Palos and Remy...

I need to get busy on a FE and gifts... I'm not very crafy, but have lots of friends who are - I plan to get some help!!

I made my FE last time and by the end of the cruise, it was busting at the seams, so this time I am planning on purchasing one! LOL!

I think I am going to give up our high tea reservation for 4. If anyone wants to PM me a time they will be able to access it, then I will cancel it and hopefully you can scoop it up before someone else grabs it! It is at 3:00 on the sea day.

3smithboys -Ooh, I would have been pissed if that happened to me. So not cool to sell you something and lie about a capacity. I would love to try this when my kids get a little older.

Mom2CJ&Kitty -Hopefully you will be able to get the Castaway Ray's at CC. I checked and it is currently showing availability this morning. Good luck!

So, do we have a formal night or a semi formal night on this cruise? Anyone know?

Momtotwogirls, it is called "optional dress up" on the Dream Cruise - and from what I saw, it is defintely that. VERY optional!
