Because our son is going to be 18 at the time of the cruise we thought we would skip hanging a FE and just deposit gifts in others. Now we may be bringing our 3 year old grandson with us. We won't know for a while so as of today, we'll just say we're in to deposit but not to receive. Does that make sense?

Sure, I understand what you are saying. I think I will make the cutoff July 1.

That way it will give everyone time to get their FE gifts ordered/made. We need to get our group more active.

No kidding - hopefully as the date (slowly) approaches, this thread will gain more interest! I check the cruise site daily and love to hear new things about the ship. Can't wait to see some navigators!!

Six inches of snow, 19 degrees, school and work closed. I'm staying warm by looking at videos and pictures of the Dream and Castaway Cay. In my mind I'm at Serenity Bay, feet in the sand and sipping on a Konk Kooler.

We've decided that since Trent is only 3 we will "halfway" participate in the FE! We'll be depositing only so we'll need a list. I know he will enjoy walking around the ship and putting gifts in everyones "fish".

Just booked today so I'm ready to join the group! (P.S., that smiley is TOTALLY what I looked like when I booked today)

My name is Cara. I'm another yinzer, a Stiller fan (Stairway to Seven!!) and an even bigger Pens fan. My birthday is on the 10th, so I'll be the one in some form of Pens gear mourning the loss of my 20's in best way possible with Disney, a few cold beverages, and some amazing friends.

A bunch of us started planning this cruise back in October but we're a slow bunch and just started booking yesterday. I'm still not even sure who has booked, who hasn't, and who isn't going to at this point, lol. I do know that myself and two of my closest friends, coincidentally 2 more teachers, are in and on deck 7. At this point, I'm just glad I'll be on the boat!! While none of us have kids, we're a fun bunch comprised of married couples (except for myself) and all age ranges.

I'm looking forward to meeting some fellow DISers!

lexandme -I just realized how close we will be on the boat. My inlaws are in 5154, so it will be a row of us disers. LOL! Hey, did you read/see how large the verandas are on our floor? They are huge compared to normal verandas! I know you don't want to recv gifts, but I will say, that on my last disney cruise, my DDs loved the gits (at that time my youngest was only 1 and oldest was 4), They were given books, rubber duckies, gold fish, ect. Just something to think about. I think Trent might enjoy it.

I have been reading other posts about the verandah size and figured out we have one of the larger ones! What luck This is our first cruise with a verandah, the last 2 on the Wonder and Magic were inside cabins. I am really looking forward to just sitting out there and watching the ocean.

Ok. Talked me into it. We will participate fully in the FE. I guess I better get to work making a new one.

Thanks! We're from out near the airport in Moon. They teach in Moon and Hopewell.

I'm a season ticket holder to the Pens, but I have half a season...I was so bummed I missed that fight in person, but I was cheering Johnny from my couch! Just like I'll be cheering the boys tomorrow!

Sounds like a great group of people on board so far!! Can't wait til it gets closer and we're all on the Dream!

The cheapest we found was AirTran approx 250.00 RT per person. That's leaving Pgh on 8/8 and returning on 8/16. Travelocity was just a little more booking with AirTran and Continental. I guess we should consider purchasing soon. I'm going to WDW the end of this month for a week and my RT flight was 200.00.

I made my own FE last trip but some friends bought theirs from ebay. I'm not sure what I'll do this time around!

Pittsburgh is crazy. Everything - malls, grocery stores, gas stations, convenience stores, restaurants- all are closing at 5:00pm tomorrow. The only thing that will be open is bars! But you know we're a drinking town with a football problem!

We got our round trip tickets from Dayton to Orlando for less than $230 per person - Air Trans Airways. I thought that was a great deal - although I need to factor in extra for checking our bags...

I was looking at Pittsburgh's airfare's today as well. I want to fly down the 9th and back on the 17th. Pretty consistent with what everyone else found around the $230 range on Airtran. I'm holding out for Southwest because of the free bags. They haven't released the dates for the trip home yet so I'll be keeping an eye out next week....and then praying for a good Ding deal.

When in the world is Southwest going to post the return trips? I've been looking at it for weeks? Cara, I wish I was in Pgh this weekend for the game, but have to be at work @ 8 am on Monday I'd rather be with my steeler fans than with these Bengal fans out here. MAJOR Pgh haters out here. If I have to hear one more time about how the Steelers are a bunch of cheaters, I'm going to choke someone why can't you use the same fish extender? I'm not sewing savvy. Rae
