August 12, 2007 Wonder??? Anyone else booked yet??

You can definitely pick up a set of snorkeling gear for cheap if you wait until right before the cruise when it goes on sale. We have our own equipment. We put it in a duffle bag and then all the overflow clothes that make the suitcases weigh more than 50 pounds goes in with the snorkeling gear in the duffle. A life saver. Just make sure you rinse your gear in the shower when you get back to the ship. The salt water is a killer on the rubber stuff over time.

Hi All!! We'll be on our first cruise ever also Aug 12th. We are so excited. I have no idea on quite a few things so we're flying by the seats of our pants....so to say!! We are doing WDW first from the 6th-12th and staying at the Poly....MY FAV!! And then onto the cruise. Will be myself, hubby and three daughters (18, 16, 11 ) My 11 yr old is so afraid she won't have anyone there to play with!!! Keep telling her not to worry!! And it will also be our 20th anniversary!! Can't wait for it to actually get here!!

Hey everyone....we're getting closer now. Less than two months to go...in fact, in two months, we'll be done!!!
Anyone got anything special planned for the cruise? We have Palo booked for dinner on our first night, at 8:30, then Palo brunch on Wed! Dd Katie, 13, is booked for the Wild Side. She's hoping to make some buddies on board so she isn't stuck with us all the time.
Looking forward to meeting some new DISers on board!!!

Welcome to our little band of merry cruisers!!! It looks to be a small group of DISers on this ship. Ah well. This is our first cruise as well. We will be staying at BWV, Aug 5-10, then over to Cocoa Beach for a few days before the cruise. There seems to be a fair number of kids in the preteen group. It's the younger teens, like my 13/14 y/o dd that seem to be lacking. She is going to want to hang out in Aloft but is afraid she won't meet anyone her age....that the kids will either be too young for Aloft, or they will be over 16 and not want to hang out with her. Hopefully that won't be the case, and she'll find some girls her age.
Hope to see you on board!!!

We are very excited. I think we have created a Disney World Addict with my 12 year old DD. We have been to Disneyland many times, but she had created a powerpoint for the family about what to do and were to go in Disneyworld. At this point my DH and I are more excited about the cruise. We are hoping we haven't gotten our expectations so high that we are disappointed. My 12 year old will be the oldest of 6 kids and I imagine she will happily accept some older company than 6-10 yrs. Hope to see some of you.

Great to see another person here!! Your dd sounds like mine...she is truly an expert about WDW!! Are you heading to WDW before the cruise? That's our plan. Here's hoping we can all get together for a quick hello on board early on!!! See you then.

Hi guys!! One month to go...then we get to set sail. Here's hoping we see each other and say hello!!!!!

We will be visiting WDW first and are staying at the Grand Floridian. After the cruise we have another 2 days and will be staying at the Dolphin and Swan.

We are anxiously waiting our trip.

I am taking my 2 DD on the dolphin excersion at Nassau and then we will probably spend the rest of the day on the ship. I haven't heard too many positive things about Nassau so I thought it would be a good afternoon for the ship.

Talk soon,
Kate
:yay:

Hi Kate. That sounds like our plan for Nassau. We're going to head up to the pirate museum and then back to the ship. Just want to actually walk around for an hour or two, then spend the day on the ship. See you there!!

Aloha Fellow Croppers and Cruisers!

My family will be on the Disney Wonder on August 12, 2007 and I was looking to see if anyone would be interested in getting together and scrapbook while sailing the seas. If we get enough persons we can probably ask the boat for a spot in one of their rooms. Let me know. I want to scrapbook!!!

Can't say as I crop much...but would still love to say hello to my fellow DISers!! We're getting pretty close now everyone. Almost time to start packing.

AS much as I would love to Crop as I haven't had much time lately to do any. I plan on being too busy. However, I wouldn't mind stoping by and say hi.

Kate

Time to bump us up again everyone. Anyone have any interest in a more 'formal' type meet to say hi? If so, anyone have any good ideas as to where/when? I've never cruised so I'm not going to be any help. I fly down on Sunday the 5th for some WDW time before the cruise, so if you all want to plan a get-together I want to know about it. Any thoughts?

Tink,
We will be at WDW 9- 11. How about meeting the first day before or after the "Drill". This way we can say "hi" to each other for 4 days. AS to where, I'm not sure. This is also my first cruise.

Kate

It is often hard to meet right after the lifeboat drill as sometimes people need to change right after that and get to early dinner. I suggest we meet either before lifeboat drill (but everyone might not be on the ship yet or everyone would be checking out the ship) or on the first sea day always works well at like 3 or 4pm. Then people talk for awhile and go back to their rooms to shower and get ready for dinner. I have never been on this ship so I would have to search for a bar to meet. Anyone ever been on this ship before.

I'm up for a hello to fellow DISers early on. Perhaps before the drill would be best. We're planning on being on the ship as soon as possible. Will everyone be there for 3:00?? That might be a good time. Not sure where though...perhaps by the family pool?

Another cruiser coming aboard. My name is Kathleen, and my DH and I are 45, my DS 11 and my DD8. They love love meeting kidson the cruise, and do go use the activities and pools a lot.

As you can see, we love cruising. I wouldlove to have a place to meet before...The sail away party is great - wonderful place to hookup with everyone. But, would it interfere with anyones dinner?

Glad you found us!!! I'm thinking that meeting earlier, perhaps mid-afternoon, might be better. That way we don't interfere with dinner. We have an early seating so it would be tight for us if we met during the sail away party.

You know, when we took the Disney bus once we didn't get on board until 1:30 or so. And then of course are kiddies ran around like crazy...but perhaps a quick meet at 3 in front of the arcade doors on deck 9? I haven't planned what I will be wearing, but one of my accesories shd be a drink...

Ahhh, this lady knows how to accessorize!!! Sounds like a plan to me...deck 9, arcade doors at 3. I'll try to have some DIS green on. Hopefully you other guys can make it then.
