Need to ask a question...

THIRD HINT:DGH is going to start a fun contest among all of you : the first one (adult or kid) who finds all of the Hidden Mickeys will get a prize: a small "little something" that comes from Disneyland Paris!!!!!
Do we have to find the Hidden Mickey's on just our own personal Magnet or do we have to visit each stateroom magnet to find the total of everyone's Hidden Mickey's? :teeth:

Am I allowed to play?

Beckie

Joyce and Pam

I'm not sure if I asked you yet Joyce but could you PM me your Stateroom # or post it here on our thread.

Pam we all have shared our cruise plans and I have a master list that I have been keeping. Several of us have small projects going and would like to include your family in our plans.

I’m going to try and start a file or list of everyone that will be on our cruise August 12, 2006.

If you would like to share your information please do.
You may answer the questions here on our Meet Thread or
If you would rather not post your information on the public forum I understand. We could keep the information between just the guest that are sailing together by sharing through Private MessagesPM’s here on the DIS.

Or if you had rather not participate that’s OK too, just keep posting here on the Meet Thread and we can still share thoughts and idea’s.

1) DIS Name(s)
2) First Names/Ages/Relationship of everyone in your group (ages for adults optional)
3) Hometown (State or Country)
4) Stateroom #
5) Dinning Time (late/main)
(a) Would you like to link your dinning reservations with another DIS family?
6) Will you be visiting WDW before/after your cruise?
(a) Arrival Date/Departure Date/Resort
(b) What Resorts have you stayed @ and which is your favorite?
7) Will you be staying @ Port Canaveral the night before our cruise?
(a) Arrival Date/Hotel or Motel
8) Any special events that you and family will be celebrating?
9) Any special activities that are a must while onboard? Palo Diner, Brunch, High Tea, Character Breakfast, Spa Treatments?
10) Any special excursion that you or your family must do?
11) If you are a Castaway Club member: How many, when, what type cruises have you taken?
12) Any special stories about your family you would like to share?
13) Would you like to attend a DIS MEET while onboard?

I will correlate the information then PM the information to each person.

Thanks in advance.

EACH family has :thumbsup2 its OWN personalized door-magnet , but the

Hidden Mickey's are scattered in the background, which is the same for everybody's magnet. :goodvibes
So its' enough to check your door magnet to find ALL the Hidden Mickey's ... including the NOT SO HIDDEN ONE !!!!

Our trip on the Wonder, we went to Topsiders. Which was very nice, we sat outside, hot hot hot! Tim wanted to look over at Nasa. Which, even though there was no shuttle, was very exciting! I think we should be there at about 11:30 am this time, so we will have more time to kill, so knowing Tim he will probably try both!! We were kind of lost that first couple of hours! What to do with ourselves and all.

Topsiders for us. It is hot but for some reason we end up there. :confused3 Are the same foods served in both places? I think DS likes to eat there so he can be closer to the pool. The only tough thing about the time before the rooms are ready is keeping up with your carryon bags. I am relieved when you can finally put them in the cabin.
I'm sure it would be easier if I didn't always overpack but I have to take the "just in case" stuff. :scratchin Donna

I think we're going to do Topsiders. All DS12 can talk about is shrimp, shrimp, shrimp. Do both places offer the same foods? I am not a seafood person.

Pam

does anyone know the differences or pros/cons of each?
do they have the same food?

and Laura and Marco, the magnets sound very cool. How nice of you to do that for everyone! :grouphug: :teeth: :thumbsup2 (Im not going to tell my kids and let them be surprised) ;)

Hi All! Doing a quick peak from Angie's computer. College visits are done, Britt and I will fly home tomorrow. Now I only have 10 days until Britt goes on Caravan and 13 days til we leave for Florida. I hope I can get ready in that time. It's going to be crazy around our house.

Pam - welcome aboard. We always love having more people join us. We use Bonine just to ward off any possible seasickness. We take one everyday and I give half a tablet to Alyssa.

Beckie - we will probably eat in Parrot Cay. Parents can't really take the heat and we usually just like the inside better. For those of you who asked they do serve the same food at both locations.

Gotta go now. I will catch up with you guys when I get home.

LeiLani
Welcome back again...WOW didn't realize our trip down to Orlando was so soon...I guess I should start pulling out the suitcases.

The menu's are the same at both locations, so the shrimp are plentiful.

Last August we ate at Parrot Cay, I felt the dining room had a nicer display area and set-up for the food. We were shown to our table with a linen tablecloth, silverware and napkins then a server took our drink orders. We left our carry-on bags there and enjoyed the fest. The deserts were wonderful.( No trays)

For the new members to our group.

Question:
13) Would you like to attend a DIS MEET while onboard?
13) Not sure. What's involved?

Most of us have been coming and visiting on this thread for seven or so months, we have become friends, or at lest we are Kindred Spirits.

We all thought it would be nice to stop for a few minutes on our first day and arrange a quick meet, (DIS-Meet) just to stop by and say Hello  in person.

We have several DIS-Members that have small projects making gift bags and Door Magnets and other little surprises for everyone.

DIS Meet Information:

DIS-MEET: Saturday August 12th 2006 @ 3:00pm

The Promenade Lounge Deck 3 mipship for the official DIS Meet. This location was chosen because it's indoors safe from rain, and an air conditioned area. (The August sun can be brutal) After the safety drill 4:30pm we will move up to Deck 10 (less crowded than deck 9) for the Sail-Away Party Starboard side next to the DCL Terminal so we can wave to the Cast Members on shore. This seems like the best of both locations. This will give everyone two options to drop by.

DIS-MEET: Saturday August 12th 2006 @ 4:30pm
Sail-Away Celebration Party Deck 10 midship after Mandatory Boat Drill

This will be just a quick meet to say Hello.
The cruisers that have main seating will still have time before dinner; if we keep the meet time same as the party. (Those of us with later dinning can extend the meet)
We will have bubbles and other goodies for the children and any adults that are young at heart.

Hope everyone can take a few minutes to stop by.
Beckie
