I asked shoretrips about being back in time for the ship to leave and they said the reason it leaves so early when tendering is because they have to be done before it's dark. In August, it will be dark longer so it shouldnt be a problem. They should be able to tender longer. Or something like that. I know it will be a rush to get back....ok, you guys are worrying me now. I tried to book the earlier one at noon but it was full too!



I will call them back again tomorrow!

Donna - I didn't mean to scare you I was just concerned with the 3pm time. They might be correct though and we may stay in Cozumel later in August since it does stay light out longer. Also if the dock is fixed then it won't be a problem anyway. I would also check with DCL and see what they say. If you get the standard, "ship will leave at 6pm" maybe try to talk to a supervisor and explain the situation to them and see if they know anything different.

What is everyone up to ???
We will have my parents visiting with us :at Easter day lunch we all will feast with about 10 other relatives in a local restaurant - they cook extraordinary fish : lobster,abalone,king-crabs, oysters and wonderful Tiramisu !!!!
Apart from that we'll just enjoy family time and some rest ... plus I have to plan our cruise !!!! and shore excursions !!!!

Boy, we had some rough weather around here last night. Had tornadoes in Cedar Rapids and Iowa City which are only an hour southeast of us. But we are all okay here and it looks like it's going to be a nice day. I am hoping we get spring back next week because we have gone from winter to summer around here. I can't complain too much though because it is nice out.

My daughter is home from college with her roommate and we are spending the weekend cooking and eating. She leaves on Monday and then it is the home stretch for school. Since I teach all seniors it is really fun since they are all making their college decisions by May 1. I also coordinate our graduation ceremony and with 400+ seniors it is a major undertaking. That is on June 1. Then I turn 50 on June 5!
I really love chatting with all of you and hope you have a blessed holiday.

There was a really positive review for it in the new 4th edition Passporter Guide to DCL (I am addicted to guidebooks, those ones in particular) It got a 9 out of 10 score.

Tim wants to go on the Grand Cayman Stingray tour, so I kind of thought we had enough stingrays in our schedule. I know in high tide the water can get a bit deep for kids on the Grand Cayman tour, but Ben's okay in the water, plus nervous parent that I am would be holding onto him! I'm glad Disney is adding extra things to Castaway Cay though. I might ponder this a bit more. Neurotic parent in me is coming out..............

Laura - I read about the stingray adventure and it sounds great. We have done the one in Grand Cayman so we thought this might be fun. With the way he has them trained it should be easier to feed them.

Just wanted to say Hi. I hope everyone had a nice holiday!


I decided to keep my dolphin excursion and just see what happens with the tendering/docking in Cozumel. It could change 20 times between now and then and I can always cancel if we cant make it.


I think Castaway Cay is going to be our lay on the beach day ...although that stingray excursion does look fun! My kids really want to snorkel so we may do the stingray Grand Cayman excursion.
