Not sure how I feel about it - I used to hate it but have adjusted and know how to almost always get an "A" card....but I will admit for business I rarely take them so long as the dreaded USAirways has matched the price...

I just got home from Raleigh, got in a little "retail therapy" while I was there.
When you live this far from civilization you have to squeeze it in where you can. If I'm not too late, I vote for Magical Memories Cruise. Monday the movers come and start packing. They are scheduled to pick up on Wed. So I guess this is calm before the storm! -Donna

Mostly clothes/shoes. We live about 75 miles from a decent mall, so just shopping somewhere new was nice. I definitely miss Jax for shopping. Tony is used to moving but he is more excited this time. We lived in that area for a year in 2001 and he really liked it so hopefully he will adjust. That is one of the reasons I am glad DH is retiring in 2 yrs, I want him to go to Jr. High and High School in the same place. Oh, I keep meaning to ask you, (way off subject) Is Joseph's Italian restaurant still open there?

Soooo...DGH is paying the price...GOOD GIRL...maybe you could also ask for Dinner Sunday.

It was a quick trip arrived in Gainesville at 12:00pm, Nick took me to lunch then we headed home.

I did see a bad auto-accident with a fatality just before I reached Nick's apartment it really shook me up. Glad he wanted to take a little extra time to eat, we went in the opposite direction then I took another road back to the highway. Prayers for the family it was so sad.

Do you mean Joseph's Pizza on Main Street near Trout River in the North Shore area...If so yep it's still there but I haven't been there in years. The last time we went to eat in the old neighborhood I wanted to visit Jackie's Seafood, just down from Joseph's (yummy)

Has anyone used Disney Transfers from the Grand Floridian? If so what time do they usually pick-up and get you to the ship? I was hoping it would be morning but haven't got any info in mail yet about specifics.

As we live so close I have never used Disney Transfers, but from reading other post Disney picks up after 12:00pm so the Disney transfers would get you to the port after or around 1:00pm.

I know Laura & Marco rent a car or a car service to pick them up around 9:00am so they can arrive at the port earlier.

I am using FL Tours for my airport-hotel (Swan)- PORT- airport transfers.
It ended up being about the same as a car rental and I didnt have to worry about dropping off/picking up.


I use them all the time when I go to WDW and I love them.
Great service always.
And you get to stay later at the parks before airport pickup because you are not on a bus that makes lots of stops.
I hate waiting for buses or the Mears shuttle! lol (when I get there...I am ready for vacation to start!!!!!)

While I know how much you love to spend time with Nick I'm so sad you had to pass by that accident :too sad !!
With HOT weather here in Italy - and most car-drivers refuse to use airconditioning - we unfortunately have to see bad accidents every day !!

We too like FL Tours : always on time , very kind staff !! We like the opt to have a stop at a grocery on the way to the hotel / port !!!

No he doesn't stay with me when he comes home, I drop him off over at his Moms house which is about half a block away from Cindy and the boys. The nephews love it when Nick comes home as does Katie Nick's sister.

He does have a nice apartment over in Gainesville, he shares it with a roommate he went to high school with.
