August 10, 2013 Magic 7 Day Med!!

Bella, my daughter Stephanie, turns 16 on June 27. I am really hoping she'll go to the Vibe. Last year on the Fantasy she was too shy to go by herself. This year I'm going to introduce her to another 16 year old before the trip (both families live in Texas) so she'll be comfortable. Our other daughter, Rachel, is 13 and had a great time in the Edge last year. I think it would be great to have a gaggle of 15 and 16 year old girls hanging out at the Vibe, or the pool, or whatever else you want to do.

Hey,
Yeah I'm super shy too so I'm a bit nervous about going to vibe too! I turned 16 on June 10th so we're similar ages. Last time i went, I was with my cousin so it was easier but I'm going to have to somehow be more confident! Hope to meet Stephanie there though! :)

Isabelle, come by our stateroom and meet Stephanie and Rachel. We had lunch with CBEB -- Liz, her husband Charlie and their daughter Lizzie a couple of weeks ago so we could get acquainted. Even if you girls don't go to the Vibe you can hang out together, swim, get something to eat....

Kinda weird but I got an email from Ticketmaster this morning saying there were technical problems with the pdf I previously received and printed out for Sagrada Familia.

I printed out the new ones and took the old ones, taped them together. I'll bring both sets as well as the email. I'm just a little paranoid about not having the authentic printout.

Can't quote and then fill in the details on the spreadsheet as am away and just have my iPad but here are our details for the FE spreadsheet.

Can we take it the FE list is finished? We're away on a weeks break in the Lake District and will have hardly any time for more FE shopping before the cruise.... I imagine its the same for anyone making gifts?

Here's the final list. Can't wait to check my FE!!!

I have not been able to print my pdf at all. I emailed customer service and they said to try in 3-4 more days, which didn't work again. Yesterday, I just emailed Ticketmaster again. I am hoping to be going on Aug 9th at 11:00.

Our ticket time is 10 am on the 9th.

There are 12 of us in our group -- the 10 English group was full.

We took up 7 of those!

We leave one week from tomorrow! Already "short time to vacation" attitude is sinking in here at work..... MUST. NOT. GIVE. IN....

I do need to restock my toiletries bag. I got a neat one from ebags that is flat and I stocked it with my minor needs (I'm not a big make up person) but then the girls went to various camps and I raided my stuff. Sounds like this calls for a trip to Walgreens at lunch.

Was just reading some of the posts. We'll be on the Aug 10 cruise also. Getting into Barcelona on the 7th - does anyone have any 'must-do' thoughts for us?? Finally getting around to starting to thinking about this part of the trip and I'm feeling a bit frantic that I don't have any ideas yet.

We are arriving in Barcelona on the 7th. We are planning to tour on the HOHO bus on Thursday the 8th, sagrada familia on thr 9th and a walking tour of the old town that afternoon.

We are going to have a large group of us in that age range (6 in all, ages 17-23). They love talking to / meeting new people on the cruise. I really can't talk for them, but they might want to meet up with your group. :)

It would be great to get them all together somehow.

When our activity booking window opened we did that wake-up-and-book-at-midnight thing. Not sure if it really helped (or if it's just coincidence) but we got all the spa treatments and Palo ressies we wanted. We'll be eating a late-ish Palo dinner on Tuesday and an 11:00 brunch on the 16th for DD's 23rd b-day. Spa visits for everybody! I'm in serious need of this vacation!!!!!

Getting closer! We leave next Thursday!!!!! Woot!

We have Palo brunch on the 16th as well for 10 a.m.

It's exciting to see the countdown say just one week and four days!

Isroka21, if you are looking for Ideas for Barcelona, the Rick Steves' guide book has a bunch of great ideas with descriptions to help you select what might interest you in the city.

We are arriving in Barcelona on Aug 8th and staying at the Hilton Diagonal Mar we plan on going to the beach near the hotel and check out the area near our hotel for that day because we will be shot from the time change.

On the ninth we are planning on doing the HOHO bus, checking our the Rambles walking tour and going to Sagrada Família.

On the tenth we checkout of the hotel and go to the ship for lunch.

Headed to Europe for first time with our kids and grandma and grandpa too! Super excited. Getting a little nervous about the overseas airline travel, but we have been on Disney Cruises in the USA before and feel very comfortable about the cruise itself. Can't decide which port we are looking forward to the most. But I think the kids want lots of gelato and pizza in port.
