Aug. 5th, 2006 - Eastern Magic!!!

Howdy,
well we will be in the clubs almost every night too. Love the music and crazy skits they do. But we arnt drinkers. Guess we save alot of $$ that way.
I am looking forward to running into you guys at some point in the clubs. With no kids of our own this time we are free to stay out as long as we want. Our DD and her DH go to the clubs a lot too so I'm sure we will see each other a few times.
Marie, you havnt posted for awhile, are you still out there???

well I'm off to grocery shop,
Take care everyone

Kathy

Mmmm... chocolate covered strawberry martini? Sounds pretty good to me. With not having to buy many suveniors this time we can splurge on more drinks this time. Although I only need 2 to feel happy for the rest of the night.

Hi all. Apparently my mom thinks I do not post often enough, haha. Actually I am really busy getting ready and trying to get everything ready for the kids without them knowing, plus dealing with setting up a dog sitter and DS'S 12th birthday is in about 10 days to boot!
I am sure we will see everybody in the clubs as well. DH likes to have beer, I am not much of a drinker, I usually end up only having one or two cocktails the whole trip. However, I enjoy the entertainment and dancing. And believe me nobody would want to have me dancing anywhere near them if I had had more than one drink, haha.

Oh, oops, I am posting under my DD's identity! This is Marie, as well as the last post!

They have a martini bar here, we went there as part of our office christmas party, that is where I had that drink. It tasted like an ice cream shake. Yummm

Marie,

Hey, are you sure you havnt had your one cocktail already??? :drinking1

Posting under Ana's name instead of your own????
Maybe you should drink some :coffee: instead.

We didn't find that IPOD adapter in any stores so we ordered one from the IPOD site, it should be here Monday. I will let y'all know how it works.

Happy sunday everyone.
We were on page 2, so I thought I would bump us for the day. :thumbsup2

Lots of sun, :sunny: still no rain.

Not much else going on around here.

See everyone very soon, :cloud9:

Hello everyone :wave2: !!!

Hope everyone is having a wonderful weekend!!

Well, I drug the suitcases out today and began to pack, so I feel a little more on top of things. I can't stand waiting until the last minute to do things but it always seems to happen that way :confused3 . This time I'm really going to try and have everything packed by the end of next weekend. We'll see how that works.

It looks like there are quite a few of us that would like to get together for drinks (or just good conversation) and to do the tastings :goodvibes .

Marcie, I am pretty sure we need to sign up for the tastings at guest services because there is a fee and I think a limit as to how many people can attend. I was looking at the navigator summary from a previous eastern sailing that you receive on the first day and it said to sign up at guest services for the individual tastings. I wouldn't want anyone to miss out if this is the case.

I'm getting sooooooo excited!!!! :Pinkbounc  :bounce: Anyone else????????

Talk with everyone soon. I guess I'll see everyone soon too because the :hourglass is getting shorter until we are on the :boat: .

Gretchen

I told David (DH) that once we board the ship we have to go to RNDB (another night at Palo) and Guest services to sign up for the tastings & the galley tour. I think most of the tastings cost $12/pp. THen we can eat lunch.

I got out the old packing list to look at to determine if I need somethings. So far I don't need to buy any clothes or anything else. I am packing very light this time. I do need to go buy an underwater camera though.

Well have a great rest of the day! :goodvibes

Hi all. I think I have managed to post under my own identitiy today. That is what I get for using my daughters computer. It is 100 degrees here today and humid, which is not normal for around here but maybe I will be acclimated for Florida by the time I get out there next Saturday. I hope I am not the only one who is not done shopping, I still have to take DS to get a couple of clothing items. I have been avoiding it because it has been so hot and my car doesn't have working AC!
See everyone in a couple of weeks!

I called Disney Cruise line today to ask if they photo services could download my pictures to a disk. They can It cost $14.95 per downloaded disk @ Shutters. This will save me having to buy another memory disk or IPOD adapter.
we received our docs today!! :cheer2: :cheer2:
ok, it was 118 degrees yesterday. But of course that is a dry heat!!! :rotfl:

Thanks Gretchen. I just told Dane (DH) that we need to go to guest services and sign up for the tastings when we get on the ship. The two I'm real interested in are the wine & martini, who's doing these? Maybe we will see you there.

I think I may end up having to take more notes. :rotfl: I'm going to get confused. I'm about to print out my packing list and take out the suitcases. I went to the mall today and bought me a pair of earrings to match the dress I'm wearing to Palo today and while I was there it started storming. Wow all the roads were already flooded by the time I left. But, I'm home now. :goodvibes Hopefully we get our docs this week.

See everyone very soon. :hourglass

Well today we break into the single digits until we leave on 8/2, guess I had better getting some stuff together. Also wanted to wish everyone a safe trip to Florida and to the ship. Today at lunch will be a trip to WalMart to get film for our underwater camera. I will use the digital a lot, but will only take the 35mm water camera to the beach, that way I can take it into the water with me. Hope we have great weather and maybe I will run into some of you, doubt I will make the meet. We have early dinning and have requested PLA rotation. Still no docs.

It sounds like you guys are all set.
That is great!!!

Not much happening around here right now, just keeping us bumped up!!

Have a great day everyone, :goodvibes
Kathy

Kathy is it raining a lot there? I just looked at the 10 day forecast, now that the first day I'm there is in it and it has scattered thunderstorms every day of the 10 days.

Good morning everyone. Just ran to Target for a couple of things. I need to go to the dollar store to buy my shoe holder (didn't bring the other one back from the last cruise) and some suction hooks. Other than that we are set.

I think we are doing the martini tasting (or at least I am), but no wine here. I just can't drink it ( I have no idea why, is it an aquired taste?) :confused3

Well talk to you all later, I am going to go clean the carpets-yeah (not)!

Good morning everyone. :wave2:

I am dragging myself through this Monday! I work with all retired Air Force officers. For any of you who are familiar...there is a term they use called "FIGMO". It stands for "Forget it, I've got my orders" (actually, some people say the "F" stands for another word! ) You use the term whenever you're on assignment and have your orders that you'll be transfering to a new job soon. Basically, when you're "FIGMO", you could care less about what is going on in your current situation, b/c you won't be around to clean up any messes, get the credit, etc.

Okay...that was wayyyyy too much information! :lmao:

Anyhow, I'm telling everyone I'm FIGMO this week and next. :badpc: I simply cannot bring myself to care about work right now since I'll be cruisin' in less than 2 weeks!

Suction cups...another great idea. Everytime I think I'm thru shopping...another knick knack comes up!

Have a great day!

Leslie
