Aug. 5th, 2006 - Eastern Magic!!!

That would be great, to have t-shirts. Sue are you good with designing?

I am so excited. I can get in super plan mode now. My overtime is over at work for another year.  I've been only having one day off a week for the past 14 weeks. Now I am off until Tuesday as of 3:30 this afternoon. Now that I am off, Sue I will PM you with instructions tonight on the counter.

I've been reading on cruise critics and saw a post on dis today about joyce prince private tours in St. Martin. So, I found her website and emailed her our date we are in st. martin and told her we were going to do the regatta in the morning and asked her if we could do an afternoon tour. She wrote back and has only one other family that day so she has room for us. She says she could pick us up at 11:30 after the regatta and drop us off in Phillipsburg for lunch and shopping and then pick us up around 1:30 for a 3 hour tour. It's $35 per person. Anyone ever hear of her? We have to give her a credit card number to hold our spot. I really would love to do an Island tour like this.

We are booked on the Aug 5th Magic. First time Cruiser and DSL travelers, 5 people, 2 adults, 2 boys-6 and 10 and mother in law 79. should be an interesting time. Anything you can think of that we need to know would be greatly appreciated. Looking forward to just relaxing and having a wonderful time.

Welcome Sandel! I will add your group to our list. :thumbsup2 Have you looked into excursions yet? One thing to know is that you can book your excursions, spa treatments and Palo reservations online. Also, you can sign your boys up for the kids clubs there. You have to wait until 75 days if it's your first cruise and the time is 3:00 a.m. EST that it opens up to book.

If you are looking into relaxing you should try the rainforest room. I loved it in there last cruise and I can't wait to go again. You don't have to book that ahead of time, just go up there when you want to use it.

Making door signs is another fun thing to do if that interests you. I worked on mine last weekend. I have 3 made. I will buy magnetic paper to print them on and then put them on our stateroom door.

If you have any questions I will try to answer them for you. :goodvibes

What is the rainforest?
What is the door sign for??
So we have 25 days to be able to sign up -- does it all fill up at 3 am??

I am so excited!! :Pinkbounc

We are planning to go to disney world before the cruise. Would have liked to do after but school will be starting. Any recommendations on hotels around Disney World??

We are staying at the Caribbean Beach Resort from Wed - Sat before the cruise. I can't wait.

The rainforest room is a room in the spa, there are heated tile loungers to sit, steam rooms, saunas, and scented showers. It's $15 a day or you can buy a week pass. I will probably only use it on sea days so I will just get the $15 a day but it is so relaxing in there.

Door signs are designs you make with magnetic paper or magnetic roll tape to put on your doors.

This is a picture of our door on the last cruise.

Count back 75 days from Aug 5th if you've never cruised DCL before. That is the day you can make your reservations online. Things that fill up fast are Palo and some more popular excursions. Once you cruise before you can make reservations at 90 days. I will definitely be up because we want to fish in CC and that is a very limited excursion.

Thanks for the heads up regarding the online excursion, I will definately make sure I book ahead of time. To go online I assume its disneycruise we just booked yesterday and I have not even gotten the paperwork yet.

Sandel, there is a place on the disney cruise website that says "my Cruise" or something like that. When you click on it you put in your reservation number and your birthdate and you can see your reservation. The tab that says "my cruise plans" is where you make your reservations when it's time.

I paid off our cruise this weekend. :cheer2: :cheer2: Now I just have to wait until next weekend and I can make our online reservations.

Add 4 more. The Earp's are going too. Me(35 will turn 36 on the boat), DH (40), DS (14) and DS(will be 23 months). We are from NC and are planning to drive down and spend the night before the cruise. We sailed on the Disney Wonder February 2005 and had a wonderful time.

:cool1:
Since are thread is growing before the cruise, we should take the time to meet on the ship. As earlier mentioned we should either have the same type of hat or shirt or do a bubble launch meeting together on deck when the ship leaves port in Florida. Any other ideas???????? Help make this fun!
The lyons family.

Well we could wear lime green shirts. Or someone can design a shirt for us to all have. I'm just throwing stuff out there. A bubble party would be fun, but the sail away party was very crowded last time. We could meet right before it starts so we could find each other. Anyone else have suggestions? Tonight I get to make my reservations online. Oh and today I bought my shoes for my formal!!! I'm excited.

Welcome Earpiemom!!! Do you get to make reservations tonight online since you cruise before? What excursions are you looking at?

Well I got all the reservations we wanted!!! I got Palo brunch & dinner on the days I wanted. I got CC fishing, which we really wanted. :thumbsup2 We are doing the Regatta in the afternoon in St. Martin and the private tour with Joyce in the morning. In St.Thomas we are doing Capt. Nauticus to St. John in the morning then I think we are going to do the skyride in the afternoon and havea bushwacker and lunch at Paradise Point. I also booked a facial on formal day and a Pedicure for later in the week. Now how do I get the next 3 months to fly.

we still have two weeks till we can book our reservations being first time cruisers, can't wait. We did the submarines in Hawaii on our honeymoon. Maybe we will book them in St. Thomas. After all we will be celebrating our 15th anniversary on this cruise. And I think our daughter will like it.

Welcome to the thread!!!! I added you to the first page. This is our 2nd cruise too. Did you book excursions online? I think there is around 84 days left today, my counter starts the day I get to WDW.

:wizard: Paid off our trip the other day. We are very excited!!! We are planning a short time at WDW before our cruise. It will be my husband's & girls first time to the world. Though my sp used to work at Disneyland in college. :rotfl2:
Does anyone have any recommendations on disney resorts? I wanted to stay at one of the resorts with motorail service. Would like to avoid renting a car. How many more days till the trip?? :hourglass
