Aug. 22-29/Family Suite

Hi..we were planning a Dec/Jan trip but I think the crowds are scaring me off! Our last two trips were very busy in the parks, one just prior to US Thanksgiving the other during Spring Break. With me being a teacher and my oldest in University it is hard to find a time to visit the parks that isn't a peek time. It looks like Aug. 22-29 is a possibility for my daughter. I am wondering what the crowds will be like at that time, I have heard that this is a pretty good time because many of the local will be back to school at this time.

We usually stay at the HOJO which we love! My sister is traveling with us this time so we will be booking two rooms for a total of about $4000 Canandian for the week! I am wondering if anyone can recommend a family suite at another property that could accommodate the 6 of us (at least two bedrooms and two bathrooms). A small kitchen would be great too!

If I were in your shoes I'd look at renting through vrbo.

Have a look at the newish Homewood Suites Convention Centre. I used to be a Hojo devotee but not any more since prices there have really gone up. For our next trip HS was about $50 pn cheaper. They have 2 bdrm suites with kitchens not sure about 2 bthrms tho. Free cooked breakfast and dinners 4x a week also really contributes to keeping costs down for a family.

Homewood Suites, the 2 bedroom suite I stayed in had 3 full baths. One in the living area and one in each bedroom.

In that case I would definitely go for that over HoJo!
