~ Aug 2013~ Sew what... We've gotta find a way back! Part I!!

Sorry for not updating about Alli earlier...

She is better and back to her normal self, just as quickly as she was last year when this happened. It's bizarre...

I can tell you all, with out going into too much detail - it isn't menstural.

It's definately stomach - or upper GI. I plan to get her in to see her normal Dr. next week...

I will work on updates in the morning... It's been kind of a whirlwind day, and all of a sudden, I just lost my steam.

Thank you everyone for your prayers for Alli... I assure you she is back to her normal self (painting her nails as I type)... ::yes::

D~

We're home again. Next trip will be for at least 2 weeks. Just so much to see and do that we just did not have time to do this trip. I will be posting pictures on my PTR once I get them uploaded. One great thing from this trip was the idea of a family get-together in WDW in September, 2015!

So sorry to hear about Allie's trip to the ER. Hopefully, she will be back to normal soon.

My two dd's (oldest and youngest) are either best buds, or not talking to each other. I have some really great pictures of the two of them clowning around. They are planning to run a half-marathon together in Baltimore this October.

Glad to hear that Ali is feeling better!

Can I ask what LL Bean shirts you guys are talking about? I am searching for some new clothes for sure and shirts especially.

Oh that's scary about Alli, glad she is feeling better. I hope her regular Doctor can find a solution so it doesn't happen again.

Sorry I don't know your name I did CRT once and will never forget it Dinner was deliciius
but the whole experience was magical I was solo & was in there hours
This isn't something you want to rush through in an effort to experience
the next thing In fact when you're inside & feeling so special
you will totally forget about 'outside'

When you first enter you will be escourted into a room for photos
No one will rush you & with a party of 8 this will take time

Then you'll go upstairs order eat & interact with characters
Again no one will rush you I would just focus on this magical
experience you are going to have an awesome time

Ruthie
didn't mean to highjack but may help anyone else with plans after CRT

You are certainly proof that if it's not one thing, it's another! Now your dryer?? Bummer. You are the voice of reason in not getting more dryer than you need, so good for you!

Thanks Lois... I know that there are so many that have it much worse than I do - so I always feel really bad saying anything at all, ya know.

We are hoping to get the new dryer this weekend... It's a bummer - but this is one thing that we have known was coming for a while now. We could probably limp it along longer if we wanted to - but I'd rather be safe than sorry. The only thing I am worried about, is how we are going to get it out of the basement... LOL We have a walk in basement - but the snow is about 2 feet deep in our back yard... Thinking Josh may have to snow blow a path through the yard. :faint:

I'm sorry your refund isn't going to stretch as far as you'd hoped for your trip. I know you'll do amazing with your auctions, but don't forget to call and check once in a while for any pins attached to your name. I've gotten a few over the years that were a total surprise to me.

It is a bummer, but we are fortunate to get a refund at all, so I really won't complain. And I know - if my auctions do well, we should be fine on paying off our trip - for sure the shortened version. I've started watching airfare like a hawk... I am just really thankful that it's high right now, because when it drops - I will have to make an instant decision on whether or not we will be doing our long trip or our short trip. If Disney doesn't have any codes released, I may have to make the decision for them and take the shorter trip, because that's the one I know I can pay for regardless. So, hopefully they get their act together soon. :surfweb:

No pictures of the goose outfits...I'm sort of embarrassed about the whole thing since I'm not sure anyone actually still dresses a goose any more. They did turn out cute, though, and my dear sweet MIL is 90 and loves her goose! So I was glad to do them for her. The Big Give item I'm working on is a holder for a Kindle Fire. I got a tutorial online and changed it up quite a bit to better suit the recipient. It's been a fun project and I'll post a picture of that once she receives it.

Bummer... I'd like to see them. I am sure it's a bit embarassing - but, at least she has something she enjoys doing. :lovestruc

Oooh - please let me know when you post it... I try to get over to the Disbou page every few days - but I know I miss out on some stuff.

I know what you mean about Brave. We rented it from redbox and didn't even finish watching it. After hearing all the raves, I was prepared to love it, but nothing about it appealed to us. We tried to rent Wreck it Ralph over the weekend, but it was always out. We did go to the theater and see Safe Haven and really liked it. We go to matinees because the price of movies at night is so ridiculous.

We did finish Brave - but even through the credits, I was hoping for more of the movie to come on... Not having the typical "happily ever after" ending just didn't make the movie feel finished to me.

I agree - I've told Josh on several occasions that I prefer to BUY the movie and make our own popcorn at home. Our recliners are comfier than their seats, our popcorn is fresh and tastes better, we use real butter, and our TV isn't that small - so it's enjoyable to watch... And then we don't have that yahoo behind us letting their kids kick our chairs - which drives Josh crazy! And... More $$ in our pockets for other things. :thumbsup2

Hope you got a lot done in your sewing room yesterday and have a good start on today. I need to go to the store this morning for a few grocery items and then I'll finish up the Big Give item. I just have maybe an hour more of work on it. Have a great day!

I did get a lot done - I am very (VERY) please with this bag so far!

I hope you had a great day too!

Hope you have a great day and this my friend

Oh wow - I can't even bring myself to make this picture smaller... I wonder if I should link to it on my Table of Contents page? I'd be happy to do that, so it doesn't get lost in my thread. :cool1:

I guess we were typing at the same time today. I had typed out my response earlier and then lost everything, so had to start over. Hate when that happens.

I just wanted to comment on your question. You can order whatever you want when you are paying out of pocket. DH and I split meals constantly at Disney b/c it's just too much food for us. We are almost always on the dining plan, but when we took our DGD last April, we weren't and we ordered her meal and one for the two of us to split. It's a great way to go.

Thank you so much for this answer! I was thinking, when we ate at LTT last year, we all LOVED the Freedom pasta... I think if we ordered 2 of them and split it 3 ways, and maybe shared an appetizer too, that it would be sufficient... Considering that we will have our HUGE meal at CRT that evening. :scratchin

I'm so glad you got a lot accomplished in the sewing room. I went to a class for my new machine yesterday and actually learned a few new things! The instructor calls her sewing space her playroom. I like that!

That is awesome! I am so glad you learned something new - it's always fun to do that! LOL at the playroom... I think if I was to change the name of my room, more of the family would want to spend time in there... :scared:

Also, it's great that your council meeting went well. That's a stress you don't need in your life. So, glad it's coming together.

Yes, it finally is... and it is such a relief!

Hope Allie feels better soon!

She is feeling much better now, thank you!

I've been researching and came across this http://www.quiltingboard.com/vintag...oat-vintage-sewing-machine-heads-t193635.html

The shellac coat on my machine is kindof bad, but the paint underneath is OK. The guts aren't too bad so I don't know if I need to do too much other than oil and grease. I do need to re-wire the foot pedal and light, so I've ordered those supplies and been reading up on it! I just don't want to mess it up :scared: I re-read your pre-trip report on Patience and you have given me a lot of inspiration! Thanks again!!

I did not get a chance to venture off to read your link... You might not need to do too much to it to get it usable... Patience didn't need that much cleaning - I just chose to do what I could, because I knew that once I started to use her, I wouldn't be able to not use her to clean her like that again. LOL

Just go slow - I am sure you will be fiine. The wiring is the hardest part, which is why I had DH do it... He does a lot of electrical stuff with his computers and servers at work, so this was quite easy for him... The hardest part was getting the light off the machine.

D, sounds like you had a very successful day in your sewing room yesterday.

I'm sorry Allison is not feeling well and hope it is just a one day thing.

Thank you Kathy, I did. And Allison is feeling so much better.

Hi D,Finally catching up again

Hi Sheila! It's great to see you!

Showed your cute Peace Mickey bag to my granddaughter Allie. She has been drawing the peace sign on a lot of her drawings lately. She thought the bag was really cute.

Awww.... Thanks!

The photos of your daughters acting silly were funny. When one of my granddaughters sees me with a camera she'll tell me "Grammy, no flash photography." Or she hold up a hand in front of her face....

Sheila

LOL That is so cute... Your granddaughters are soooo adorable anyways. :lovestruc

D, We are planning several meals where instead of eating 3 adult meals, we will share two. I have that planned at the three TS restaurants that aren't buffet or family style. That way, I was able to fit in one more character buffet. For Chelsea, I will pay OOP for one of the meals. Probably Rainforest or Sci-Fi. At Raglan Road, I can order a side salad if I don't think it will be enough. At Sci-Fi, I plan on getting an appetizer OOP if Marissa doesn't want to share her burger. I know better than to try to make Jacob share his food. We are doing the same thing with the QS credits too. Just to try to make them go further, and it really does seem like a lot of food. If they don't have a discounted dining plan, then we will pay OOP. There aren't really any ADR's I want to give up, so we would probably still go to them.

Good luck with your planning.

Thanks for that reply... Sometimes I just don't think out of the box enough... This is something that would have worked well for us last year - and I just didn't think of it. I think we are going to try this for LTT and Sci-Fi... But I am going to go through our list of ADRs, maybe there are other places we can do this too?

I wonder if we could get away with going to 50's and ordering the sampler plate - split it 3 ways... LOL and then order the browning sundae... ROFL... I can just see my crabby waitress we had last year make even MORE of a stink over that. :thumbsup2 If I could guarantee that we would get her - I would totally do it. :rotfl2:

Looks like I will be starting and ending my days on the DIS with D~'s PTR!

LOL... It's OK to let me think that you keep coming back because I am interesting though... :rotfl:

I have NO idea who that is but have to agree VERY easy on the eyes

Easy on the eyes? I was thinking more like, Drop Dead Gorgeous... :faint:

Loved seeing the girls they remind me so much of my DDs
but boy I remember the occasional sister fights ! Take cover

No kidding! This is where that "tornado shelter" that I asked Josh to build me years ago, would come in handy. ::yes::

Hope Alli feels better no fun feeling lousy

Thank you Ruthie - she is doing much better now.

I haven't seen Brave or Wreck it Ralph yet soon I hope to
Esp Brave having seen Meredia in the park I am curious I did love
Mulan so this also being a strong female lead I think I will
enjoy it

I recommend Wreck it Ralph... Brave was just sort of "meh" to me. But there were MANY people who loved it.

Ahh the dryer lifes not predictable but I swear the applinces talk to each other when its
crap out time..sounds like you more than got your money out of it

We did get our $$s worth out of it. When we purchased it new - it was less than $300, and it lasted 10 years, so I think it had a good run.

I just hear of soooo many people who have purchased the front loading washer/dryer combos, and they have soooo many problems with them - the few I have heard recently were so bad, they had to totally replace them after just a couple of years - and those models are the most expensive.

I'd just rather have my trusty top loader and plain ol' dryer... They both get the job done. And who cares how fancy they are? They sit in my basement - NO ONE ever goes in the basement.

Wishing for you the trip you planned & that Disney announces
something soon

Thank you Ruthie! Just a heads up... If our trip does change - our Chef Mickey's day changes too... I've already made the ADR for it - so we are covered both ways. I hope to know in the next few weeks, exactly which trip we are doing.

oh you asked me if I go to BB often, absolutely, when I can I
do love that park Typhoon Lagoon has its good points too but I find BB has more
areas to relax

LOL YOu would think that TL would have more places to relax, it just SEEMS so much more relaxing... Where BB is so BRIGHT. LOL And quite honestly - I am sick of the snow. LOL

Have a blessed afternoon & night everyone Rain/dreary here
perfect stay in bed day for me

RuthIE

Thank you - I hope you were able to get some good rest!

Mo is going to have your PTR overloaded with everyone coming to check out her picture.

I know - talk about spam... I will probably get tons of lurkers too. :scratchin

The pictures that Alli took of V are gorgeous. Such great quality and wonderful pictures of V. Love the ones of the girls goofing around too.

Thank you! I just love the goofy pics too - they really show their personalities.

Your modified trip doesn't sound too bad. I hope a great deal comes out in either case. The water parks will be a bit of savings for your tickets too. Looks like you figured out which meals will be the cheapest to pay out of pocket for.

Yes - we definately won't be that disappointed with a shorter trip, that's for sure. It's not as if we had to be there for a really short time... 10 days is still pleanty - IMO. I think I've figured out everything... I just want to go back through and see if there are any other meals we can split.

But, I thought Frontierland was closed during AM EMH??? Only FantasyLand and TomorrowLand was open last July. We had to line up at a rope next to Peter Pan and wait for the other guests to get even with us from the front of the park. They didn't let us go...we had to walk with a CM all the way over to Frontierland and met a huge group from the front. I thought it was really weird. The park was open at 9...we should've been able to go over at 9. it was about 9:10 when they let us start walking that way. They said it wasn't fair to the other guests that didn't get there for EMH.....silly me....I thought that was why I paid ten times the price they did

Maybe it is closed? I never really paid much attention - this will be the first MK am EMH that we will ever make it to - I just assumed that the 3 mountains would be open... Stupid if they aren't. Oh well - maybe we can get other stuff done and work on Frontierland when they do open. After all - it's still better to get it done early. :thumbsup2

I'll keep hoping that a great pin comes out and your able to keep your original dates.

Thank you Sandra!

Can't wait to see your newest bag and what you've come up with for your auction.

Thanks - I hope to work on the applique this weekend, and maybe tomorrow a little bit too.

Sorry Alli isn't feeling good. Hope she starts feeling better soon! Unfortunatly there are some nasty bugs going around and of course I would catch another one. I think I've been sick more days this year than I have been healthy. So not good!!

Thank you - she is feeling much better. I sure hope this is the last of it for a while.

I went in August last year (VERY HOT) and lived in LL Bean T shirts V-Neck and their lightweight denim shorts. We even took their lightweight rain jackets that fold up into themselves. Outlet shopping and sales can be done to lessen the $$. Loved them!!!!!

This is good to know... OK - I will try to get Suzi to go on the hunt for me. I will also look into their denim shorts. I do LOVE LLBean - I know that anything I get from them will last forever. Thanks for the review! :thumbsup2

SCAREY!

I knew something was up...you had not posted by the time I went down to the studio...

Nini

You know me so well Nini. You and I are just creatures of habit.

Oh poor Aly hope she feels better soon. I think I would be following up, sounds like something else is going in.

Thanks Chiara - she is feeling much better. I am not sure if something else is going on or not. I was concerned about that -but when I talked to the ER Dr. about that concern... He said - if it was happening weekly - it would definately be a concern, even sometimes monthly... but yearly - it is most likely a virus. I will still make an appointment with her Dr. this week, just to make sure.

Oh no poor Alli. Not a fun way to spend the night. I hope she is feeling better. Not a question you need to answer here but do you think it could be menstrual? Obviously she was dehydrated but it could be a secondary cause and something you might want to keep track of so you can tell if it is related.

She is feeling much better. I am 99% sure it isn't menstural... It's more of a stomach/upper GI issue... But maybe they are connected??? Not sure? I will ask her Dr. though.

Hope Allison is feeling better, how scary that you had to take her to the ER!

Thanks - I will admit, I did panic for a minute there - but she is totally fine. Thanks!

I’m glad to see plans are coming along for your trip, however not happy to hear you might have to cut it shorter! I hope Disney comes up with some great discounts!

Honestly - I am OK with cutting it shorter. I know - I want to be there as long as I can - but even when cutting it shorter, it's still 10 days, which is a pretty decent vacation - imo. :thumbsup2 So, nothing to be sad about... I almost like it better, because some things go together better.

Totally Amazing bags like always! I don’t think there is one I don’t love.

Thanks!

The photos of your girls are great, the ‘photo-shoot’ ones and the goofy ones! I need to play with my camera more to take better photos!

I have to try to stay more up-to-date with you PTR!

Thanks! I love those photos too... No worries about staying caught up... If I didn't check in daily - I wouldn't stay caught up either. LOL I realize that most of you have lives. :thumbsup2

Hi, oh I hope Ali is feeling better!

Thanks Erin! She is feeling much better.

Oh no worries about the lanyard, wasn't sure if she was still making them. we'll do an auction one if she does them, I might even try my hand at making one. There is lots of things I'd like to make it's just finding the time.

She still has about 5 more lanyard to make to pay for her agreed portion of CRT, so I hope she gets to it soon... I've given her until our 45 day mark.

I'm really glad you talked to me about the calendar shift because I really like switching those two days around better. I'm looking forward to taking advantage of EMH. I wish we had time to explore FLE in the dark too, but that will be our parade/wishes night. our other night at MK V really wants to do the Dessert Party again so we might be have a teeny bit of time that night but otherwise on our first MK day we will be staking out a spot.

I am liking the switch as well... There are just so many more things that flow together better.

Sorry you had to take her into the ER but hopefully you can get answer's as to what's going on. Hope she starts feeling better!!

Thanks Sandra - she is feeling much better. YOu'd never know she was sick at all.

agree w/both Chiara...underlying cause & Liz' thoughts possible
menstrual

Regardless PLEASE make her understand must drink water she never
wants to experience a kidney stone....I've had 3

Its always something isnt it

RuthIE

Yes... The issue with her not drinking water was partially my fault... Earlier that morning, I'd told her that if she was going to eat anything, to make some buttered toast... So she concentrated on the buttered toast all day. I forgot to tell her to make sure she was drinking pleanty of fluids... Next time I will know better.

I was hoping for an update about Allie, but I know this has been a crazy day for you. I hope she is feeling better and that they get to the bottom of whatever is wrong. Prayers for all of you!

She is doing much better Lois - thank you!

So I'm behind, and reading the thread backwards. Gotta keep things interesting!

No worries... Yes - interesting is very good.

We have split meals on the dining plan before. I have a 13 year old, so he is a "Disney adult" and just cannot eat the huge portions there yet! So, we shared a meal at PTC I know for sure. So you might want to ask about that as well. Or if paying OOP, they should definitely let you.

This is good to know - thank you!

I was wondering about CRT too. I was worried we'd miss Wishes and the MSEP. Our reservation is at 6:45pm too so hopefully we'll be done to get out and get seats for the parade and Wishes. We normally watch the parade in Frontierland, but I guess we'll have to find a new spot with our ADRs as they are. The parade is at 9 that day so hopefully we can make it in time. I don't think we'll want to eat dinner at 4:15 or whatever the super early time was. (It's a reservation for 8 so they're not easy to come by!) I'm hoping if we show up a wee bit early we'll be seated a bit more on time? I've never eaten at CRT before though so we'll see.

Yah that 6:45 time was just too late for us... We normally eat an early dinner at home too - so this will just fit better with our normal schedule - I think. And I would much rather have more time to explore after dinner - I LOVE all the parks at night with the lights on - soooo magical!

Yay, new bag! I can't wait to see! Ok, I hope I covered everything I wanted to! Hope Allison is feeling better!

I am very excited about my current bags... both the custom order and auction bag are cool.

Alli is feeling much better - thank you.

I hope that Ali is feeling better and that you all are getting some rest.

She is feeling much better now - thanks you Diane!

We're home again. Next trip will be for at least 2 weeks. Just so much to see and do that we just did not have time to do this trip. I will be posting pictures on my PTR once I get them uploaded. One great thing from this trip was the idea of a family get-together in WDW in September, 2015!

My two dd's (oldest and youngest) are either best buds, or not talking to each other. I have some really great pictures of the two of them clowning around. They are planning to run a half-marathon together in Baltimore this October.

Welcome home T - can't wait to see all of your pictures!

Yay for another trip to WDW... I've found I am happier if I always have a trip planned. :thumbsup2

Thanks - Alli is feeling much better now.

That is awesome about your dd's half-marathon... Such a great accomplishment!

Glad to hear that Ali is feeling better!

Can I ask what LL Bean shirts you guys are talking about? I am searching for some new clothes for sure and shirts especially.

Thanks Erin!

I believe they are either mentioned in one of Suzi's above posts, otherwise it's one of her posts a few pages back - I can't remember the name of them???

Glad to hear Allison is better

Thank you - she is feeling much better now!

**********************************************************

First, I will do an Alli update... She was sick the other night after she came home from babysitting all day. She didn't wake me up - but she was up all night. Poor kid. All of her ailments were tummy/upper GI related... I made the mistake of telling her that if she was going to eat anything at all - to eat some buttered toast... She was so concerned with that all day, that she forgot to drink anything. After Josh and I went to bed, Alli came in, and her stomach was cramping horribly - she wasn't running a fever and her skin was cold. I wouldn't have freaked out - but Josh freaked out - which caused me to freak out... LOL So, we took her in to the ER. We probably didn't need to take her in to the ER, but they did say she needed to be hydrated - so it was a good thing in the end. They also gave her an IV med similar to pepto-bismol, and a pain med (non-narcotic)... We were there for a few hours so that she could get through her meds... by the end - she was feeling much better and back to her goofy self. Since then, she has been feeling just fine - she did not have any pain at all yesterday and was eating/drinking normally. I plan to make an appointment with her regular Dr. this week, just to confirm that everything is OK.

Thank you everyone for all of your prayers for all of us over the last several weeks... We have had more ailments than usual, and I pray that this was the last of them.

I did have a productive day in my sewing room the other day... I worked on my applique for my custom ordered bag - it turned out fabulous, and I am very, very happy with it... I don't say that often - but I really nailed the facial expression of this character, and I am just thrilled. Expression is the hardest thing to do, and it's just super fun when it all comes together. I cannot wait to show you all this bag!

The theme of the above bag is a theme (sort of) that I've always wanted for myself... I had it on my list last year for our trip, but I never did find the time to even get started. I love how the above bag is looking so much - that I may just scrap one of the bags I've already started for myself and change it to this one... It's more my style anyways.

I had to work at Target yesterday, which I was really nervous about - since Allison was in the ER the night before. When I'd left for work - she wasn't even awake yet, so I was even more nervous. V was awake though, and my BFF was on call for them - she could have been here very quickly if necessary. But everything was fine.

I had a decent day at work... There were some issues last week about my restrictions from surgery... Which I was kind of irriated about. Yes, I did have out patient surgery, but my recovery wasn't stellar like everyone (even my surgeon) claimed it would be... So I was kind of irritated when I got to work last week and they had a really heavy work load for me that day. I flat out told them that I couldn't do it - and they were not happy with me. I didn't think to bring my surgery paperwork with me to work that day - I just assumed that since they all knew I was having recovery issues - that it wouldn't be a problem. I was finally able to meet with my HR person yesterday (whom I just love - he has been at our store for a few years, and he is leaving in a few weeks - which sucks) - who totally had my back. I was able to turn in all of my paperwork, and thankfully he reinforced that I should not be over doing it until I feel ready. Up until last week - my belly button incision was still healing - and I am just not comfortable yet doing all of the bending/lifting/twisting... I am SURE I am OK to do it - but I am a baby - that's all there is to it. I meet with my surgeon next week for my follow up appt, and I am sure I will feel much more comfortable after that.

Since I worked yesterday - my whole day was thrown off... From waking up later than I usually do... The only thing that I managed to be on time for yesterday was the start of my shift... I even punched out late... Dinner was late (but good... mmmm... Chicken alfredo hotdish with pillsbury flakey biscuits on top... A totally Minnesotan dish - LOL)... Thankfully - I went to bed early.

Today, I plan to get up to my sewing room just as soon as I finish updating here. I want to start some of my pre-assembly for my custom order bag.

Then I promised to bring Alli and her BFF to town, so they could go out for lunch together. V and I will hang out until they are finished... Maybe we will go out for lunch ourselves?

I have my big grocery shopping trip tomorrow morning... I've been working on my list intermittantly all week... I am getting a few awesome deals... I still want to trim it up a little bit though. There are quite a few items on my list that I am getting strictly because they are good deals, and not because we need them. However - they are items we use, so I just really struggle with how much is too much - ya know? I know, with out a doubt, I do NOT need any more pasta sauce - between what Josh canned from our garden last year and what I've purchased (I forgot about the stuff Josh did) - I have about 30 jars in our basement. LOL :crazy2: Whoops! Some of the purchased ones may end up being donated to the local food shelf.

Anyways - I better get a move on my day... I don't have a lot of time in my sewing room this morning and I want to get as much done as I can.

Again - thank you for all of your prayers for Alli... I assure you that she is just fine and back to her normal self. :lovestruc

Have an awesome day everyone!

D~

I think I have caught up on your Pre-Trip report. I'm not quite sure because I'm reading it half sleeping :rotfl:

I got home to day from my trip. After a 22 hour journey and 28 hours since I last slept in a bed ( I got about 3 hours of sleep on the first flight and 2 hours of sleep on the last flight home) I'm really tired.

I'm trying not to go to sleep now so I can sleep when the night comes. The time is 4.35 PM here now so I still have some hours to go until I can go to bed and hopefully sleep all night.

How great that your Disney trip is in your budget now even if you have to work hard to save the money for the trip and maybe shorten the trip 2 days to make it all happen. I few days at Disney is alway WAY better than no day at Disney.

The pictures of the girls is great. And the goofy pictures with them together looks like fun.

I'm so sorry to hear that Alli got sick and had to go to the ER. I'm glad to hear that she is now well and back to her old self. I hope that the doctor can find out what's going on so if it's something that need treatment so it doesn't happen again she will get the help she needs.

It's not good that your work gave you a hard time after your surgery. I'm glad you boss understood and got the load off you so you can recover fast and be fit for fight and doing all the things at work as normal again soon.

I have to get some rest and get all my things sorted after my trip before I can get my trip report going. But I will write my trip report in a few days.

So glad to hear that Allison is feelingi better, but sorry you had to take her to ER. But I always say better safe than sorry.

And I'm sorry to hear that Target was giving you grief about your workload after surgery. I sometimes wonder if people stop and think before they talk or react.

Glad to hear Alli is feeling better! Sounds a lot like some kind of food poisoning... I had something like that after I ate at Outback one time:sick: Hopefully it's all over now!

I can't wait to see your new bag!!

Dear me! I've been away with some personal stuff on top of getting ready for Spring Break at the Science Center where I work and I have missed things.

Ali's quite the trooper. Good for her, even if she is a bit too literal. :thumbsup2 next time the prescription might need to be "Buttered Toast and WATER!!" or other clear liquids.

One of the personal things is ...I'm cleaning up my sewing room.:scared1: I managed to actually clear space on one wall (if you ignore the other 3/4th of the room that is packed to the gills) and, of course, over did it. Did something weird to my back that, thankfully, the chiropractor was able to snap, crack and pop back into goodness.

Humoring cranky appliances...our dryer is like that too: we have a magnet attached to keep the contact so it will run correctly.

And yes, the swearing is just me. Generally the swearing is good-natured and because I'm doing something stupid and know it.

Good luck on your sewing and I can't wait to see the auction items!!

Glad Allie is all better. And glad someone at work has your back. You should be able to do what you feel comfortable doing without any hassle. Sheesh!:confused3

I'm really anxious to see the bag you're working on. You really have me wondering. Hope you were able to get a good amount done before taking the girls to town.

I had to laugh about your shortened trip. I didn't realize it at first, but your "shortened" trip is one day longer than my longest ever trip.:rotfl: But any time you can get extra days so that you can have "down" time, it's good. Also, I wanted to let you know that I think Earl of Sandwich now has their Holiday Sandwich all year around. We were in line there last year and there was a cast member in front of us and she told us it was the best sandwich ever, so DH and I got one. She was right! I'm telling you, it is TDF! If you get a chance, grab one of those puppies on one of your DTD days. My mouth is watering just thinking of it.

Also, splitting meals is what Dan and I do. With or without the meal plan. I would LOVE to be there at the 50's PT when you order the sampler and 3 forks!! :lmao: There are some TS places that charge you to share...don't know which ones, just remember reading about it on a couple of menus. All this talk about food is making me hungry. And I haven't been hungry all day, so that's good.

Have a good evening and hurry and finish that bag...I'm dying here!!!;)

Thanks D, I looked earlier and couldn't find that post about the shirts. It was further back than I though! I did find it. narrowing down the poster made all the diff! thanks lol

Sorry all... We are totally fine... Today was grocery shopping day - and to top it off - we are in a winter weather advisory for freezing rain this morning - so I wanted to get out there and back (remember - I have a 30 mile trip to get to the Super Target I grocery shop at) before the roads got bad. I was very fortunate that the roads were worse this morning when I left, and it warmed just enough today that the roads actually melted - as of now it's just wet out there, but... It's going to freeze tonight.

Boy do I have some GREAT bargains to tell you all about... I almost had a crowd around me at Target. LOL I will try to tell you about them this afternoon - I have to run upstairs right now and get some photos of my latest bag... I had to rush to put the finishing touches on it this afternoon when I got home.

Normally, it's work before play (ie: bags before groceries) - however, I had to take the weather into consideration this time...

Soooo... I'll be right back. ;)

D~

Oh, glad you are ok. I was a little worried when you didn't post this morning but I figured you had more important stuff to do than entertain us!

Excited to see the new bag.

OK - it's official... I am IN LOVE with this bag!!!

I feel like I totally captured Jessie's expression in my hand applique, and well - I just LOVE it!

Some of you may remember last year, I wanted to make myself a Toy Story UPB for our trip in the worst way... and I just ran out of time. Making this bag really rekindled the urge that I have a TS UPB for our upcoming trip... So, I may just scrap my previously planned bag in favor of a TS bag. :rolleyes1

Anyways...
