Good for Alli for going forward with contacting the Police!
I wish I lived closer to RuthIE. I have a whole group of animal people here in GA that would spring into action to help her. Unfortunately I don't have any resources in FL. I hope she is able to find the help she needs.
The baby romper is very cute and I love both of the GAC pouches. I hope they do well in the auction tomorrow.
Thanks Ariana!
I know, I wish I lived closer to RuthIE too.
Will do an Alli update below.
Cover alls ( rompers) were my favorite thing to dress my baby boys in!! Boy that has been a long time! The ones you made are adorable! That is a very lucky baby!
I sure hope you get some answers on Ally's coat?? Some kids really need a wake up call! Earlier rather than later.
RuthIE is still in a lot of pain! I too hope she gets some answers and help today. She has a beautiful horse that needs some care she can't give her right now.
Your launch items are wonderful!! Everyone have a great day! Ruth
Thanks Ruth... I will do an Alli update below.
I know, I need to text RuthIE later today to see how she is doing. I was going to do it yesterday, but then I got distracted.
Love the cute romper! You will be the BEST AUNT EVER!!! Okay, I am out of some kind of loop or something. I cannot figure out what the red S is on the MK GAC pouch...
Awww... THanks Oopsi! I miss ya so much!
The logo on the GAC Pouch is for the "Sorcerers of the Magic Kingdom" Game in MK.
The new interactive game at Magic Kingdom...Sorcerers of Magic Kingdom (I think that is the name..)
Nini
Yup! Thanks Nini!
for a DIS Meet at the
Disney Store.
Great deal at the store on the tank tops.
Love the GAC gag with the ice cream cone...absolutely adorable.
I think you and Alli are doing the right thing by going to the police. That young lady needs to be taught a lesson.
Thanks Kathy.

I agree. I will be doing an Alli update below.
Hi...just read through the last 10 pages. I have been clicking on your PTR and it would always show just one page. So I thought that was as far as you had goten...only today did I realize that I had to click on the right side of the screen for the thread.... My daughter would be

because she laughs when I can't figure out something on the computer.
Anyway, now I can really keep up with your planned trip. LOVE the clothes and blanket for your nephew.
Sheila
Hi Sheila!!! Welcome! I am so glad that you found the end of my PTR.
If the pants are too big for the baby it just means that the baby can use them longer while it grows
I LOVE the MK GAC Pouch set. I just love EVERYTHING about it.
Thank you! Very true - and I agree... He will always grow into them.
D can u point me in the direction of the pink Mickey fabric you used? Looks perfect for vs treat dress that I have planned for our trip.
I actually purchased the last little bit that someone had from their project.
Thanks Lillian - I will do an Alli update below.
I hope that the girl & her parents will know that it was Alli's decision. Peer "review" is better than "person of authority" at that age.
And I am in AWE of that MK applique. One day, I will do an applique that awesome. And free-hand embroidery like that.
The great thing about babies is, they are always growing. So he may not be able to fit in them his first couple of months, but there'll be months after that!
Side note for/about RuthIE - does her county have a 4-H association? or an FFA? They might have a program for some of their kids to help her out - especially with the horse. -I know I'm a little late for that party.
Thanks Ruth! I will do an Alli update below.
That's what I was thinking for RuthIE too, but she says she has tried there... However Terry (below) did post the number for another group! I sure hope that works out for RuthIE.
hope that the coat issue will be taken care of!
the romper and GAC holders are cute...love the fabrics!
I hope so too Lisa. THank you. I will be doing an Alli update below.
FFA or 4H are good ideas for RuthIE. Also the state extension agency. I'll look it up and post the name and/or contact person. I have lots of horsey friends, just not in FL.
You can call me Terry. I put the Tess in there because I think I might have used that in one of my posts. I answer to both though, and also to "T", hon, sweetheart, mom, ma, mommy and grandma.
What does GAC stand for?
Edit: The Polk County Extension office phone number is (863) 519-8677. They run the 4H program and should be able to put RuthIE in touch with someone in her area that will be able to help her out. Most farming communities are very willing help out when needed.
Thank you so much Terry! I hope that this number you posted will be useful to RuthIE - thank you for taking the time to look it up!
GAC stands for Guest Assistance Card... Is the card that people can get at Disney if they have a disability that prevents them from standing in line (someone correct me if I am wrong...)
Wow! Can't believe all the that's been going on while I was out celebrating my son's 6th birthday and then my poor Niner's loss to the Raven's. Oh well there's always next year!!!
Poor Alli!! I really hope that something good comes out of this both for Allie being in control of the situation and that the girl who took it learns her lesson and hopefully doesn't do it again.
Love the auction items!!! Really love the pink ice cream one!
The blanket and romper turned out adorable!!! One spoiled baby already!!
Happy birthday to your DS Sandra!
Thanks for the compliments and I will be doing an Alli update below.
Just a quick word of love for the GAC holders and the romper! All are wonderful. I just love the MK GAC!!! It's so unique.
Hope to read an update soon on the continuing saga of Ali's missing jacket. Hope they get it all sorted out and the person responsible will be held accountable somehow.
Since we're letting people know what names we respond to, I will answer anyone who calls me Your Royal Highness, Princess, or Your Majesty!

Thanks "Your Royal Highness"... Can we call you "YRH" for short? ROFL!

I do not have a RuthIE update... I knew that yesterday was the first day that her Workman's Comp worker was in the office - and I didn't want to bother her while she was dealing with the issues that she needed to - and hopefully able to get a few things resolved. I will text her later today to see how she is doing.

Alli's coat update... It's going to be long - I apologize in advance.
Right away yesterday morning, I called the police dept. non-emergency line. I spoke with an officer and told him what was going on. After telling the entire story in detail, he asked if the police liason officer was present during any of Alli's meetings with the principal... I relayed that I believed the liason officer was involved. The officer told me, that if the liason officer was involved, then the city police are already involved, because the liason officer is an employee of the police dept and not a school employee (like I had previously thought). So, the officer asked that I continue to work with the liason officer - gave me his #, and informed me that he was out of the office yesterday. I plan to try to give him a call today.
Yesterday, sometime later in the morning, I received a text from Alli... She told me that she had just left the principal's office, where she had to recount her story to all 3 principals. She suspected, at that time, there was something going on.
A short time later, she sent me a text that her bff had just seen the suspected girl being escorted back to class by the liason officer - muttering something to the officer along the lines of "I am so angry that someone had to turn me in..." ??? I am quite sure that her words were much differnent than that - but she had no idea who the girl was who'd seen her escorted back to class - or that Alli's bff knew why.
At lunch - Alli's bff pointed out the girl to Alli... Up until then, Alli had no idea who she was. She had pointed her out on the camera, but she didn't recognize her.
Alli discreetly asked a close friend if she knew who the girl is - and the friend told her the girl's name and that she had a baby in 7th grade!

If this is true... Then I suspect that her parents could care less that their daughter stole someone's jacket.
The girl also doesn't hang around with the nicest people... Alli's exact words to me last night were "Mom, she's the kind of girl who goes to the mall with her friends and you know the are going to cause trouble." Sigh.
So, now I am worried about Alli's safety. I am concerned that this girl will go after Alli for turning her in.
I emailed the principal after Alli came home, and she told me all of this. Alli is not supposed to know who the girl is - so I did not tell the princpal that we know her name and her (rumored) situation.
The principal gave me an update that as of yesterday, they had searched lockers and cars - with nothing turning up. He told me that next on their list was to look further into the security tapes on the day in question to see if they can find any more information...
I am not sure what is going to happen from here. I plan to call the liason officer in a little while, to hopefully get an update.
At this point - I am worried about Alli's safety. There are a few people at school that know the jacket is her's. Namely the girls who initially helped her look for her boots in the locker room that day... and Alli told me that she thinks they are telling everyone about it.
It's really sad, that the way things are, someone who did NOTHING wrong has to worry so much about retribution. I really hate that kids these days have NO respect for anything... belongings... people in general... It's so sad.
I do plan to talk this over with the liason officer... I also want to know what their plan is to protect Alli.
So, that's the only update I have as of right now. At this point, I am satisfied that they school and the police department are doing everything they can to help us find the jacket. I am not sure how much they are going to continue to do - as it has been a week now (tomorrow) and they are going to move on, I am sure.
The principal told me yesterday to just let things run their course... He said in his experience, once the person of interest thinks that everyone's forgotten, 9 times out of 10, they will wear the item to school, and then the school will "take care of it"... He said this has happened in every instance in the last 2 years that he has had to deal with something like this. He also said, that each time, the original owner was able to get their item back. At this point - I am not sure if I want Alli to have it back, because then the girl will know for sure it was Alli's coat.
This has just turned into a stupid mess.

I was busy in my sewing room all day yesterday...
I managed to cut out and completely quilt my next custom bag order. I plan to work on (and hopefully finish) my applique today.
Tomorrow is V's big day... She has her appointment to get her braces off... She has been wearing her rubberbands religiously for the last month - and I have no doubt that she will have adjusted her bite enough to get them off.

She is very excited this time - and I am glad that I stuck with my gut to keep them on.
I hope you all have a wonderful day!
