Aug 2004 - Flight prices

I haven't been to WDW in August for donkeys years and I haven't a clue what the cheapest fares to expect for then.

I have started looking around and a few airlines have released fares and are quoting approx. £2000 for 2 adults/2 children. Is this about right?

I have also had a look at the Airmiles prices and if I use about 6000 miles plus £1450 I can get direct flights to Orlando with BA. Do you think I could get any cheaper than this with anyone else if I hang on a bit or should I snap this up as quick as I can?

I don't know what the going rate for herberts is but last year when I went in August my flight cost about £660 I think flying direct with Virgin which I bought about 6 months before I left - totally outrageous, but I wanted to go at a specific time so I had to stump up the cash...by far the most I've ever spent on an economy flight and that includes this Christmas
