im currently been booked for 8/10-8/19 at all star movies...when i go on disney website to try to put in the for the new discount codes it wont let me for my dates....do i really not get any discounts for these dates at all?

I have the same issue. Aug 12 -19. Th only way to change it is to book seperately with seperate discounts. But that really messes you up if you want the dining plan. :( So I am going to try and book room only at same hotel with 2 different dates. 12 - 15 and 15 - 19th. I hope they let me and I hope they do not make me switch rooms either as the day of the switch I would be by myself moving stuff for 3 people. I have been waiting for AP discounts but I don't think they are ever coming!

Same problem here, only we check in on the 11th and out on the 22nd.

We are currently booked room only POP standard with a AAA discount. The CM just ran the numbers and said my discount was better.

Just went through a long discussion with a Disney CM and here is the issue......they can't start a deal if you start a trip before the date the deal starts. The only way to get the Aug 15th deal is to split your deal up into two parts.....We are looking at staying at the Beach Club from the 10th to the 20th.....In order to get the room discount for the entire trip, we would need to make two different bookings.....the 10th-15th (which offers a 25% discount), and the 15th-20th(offering a 30% discount). There is a slim chance that we would be forced to change rooms on the 15th even though we are staying at the same resort (ridiculous)....I could live with this because we'd be saving approx. $600. However, because there must be a ticket attached to any package, we can't get a 10-day PH ticket, we would have to get a 9-day and a 1-day. This adds $300 to the cost, so our savings would now only be $300. Not sure if that is worth it or not considering the potential hassle. The CM was very nice and sweet, so I hold no ill-will towards her, and I still love Disney, but for a billion dollar company to not be able to make this type of stay easier and simpler is absolutely ludicrous......

If you want the dining plan for both reservations you can only get it with a package that includes a 1 day ticket for the paid dining plan. However, you could do the 10 day ticket on the first res and a one day ticket on the second res then save that one day ticket for a future trip.

If you absolutely don't want to buy the second one day ticket, then you could opt for a room only res and not a package for the second half of your stay. You'll have to pay OOP for food.

Another way to streamline this is to re-arrange your dates so that your entire stay falls within one offer or the other.

I'm not sure how Disney could make this type of stay easier. It's unfortunate that you're checking in before the special starts, but I don't know of any hotel that will give you the discounted rate before the offer starts. It would be like someone planning to be at DW from Dec 25 through Jan 5, but wanting the lower January rate in December.

In the end you'll have to decide what works best for you within the limitations of the offers.

Sorry if I wasn't clear.....I'm not expecting to get the better rate earlier, it's just that during our stay, they are offering a 25% discount for the first 5 nights, and a 30% discount on the 2nd 5 nights. I should be able to get both of those discounts (one flowing seamlessly into the other, NOT getting the 30% the whole time) without having to "check-in/check-out" in the middle, or play the foolish games with the tickets/dining plan. I understand that "it is what it is", and we'll make our decision accordingly and go have a fabulous time as always.......just saying that this process could be made simpler and I would expect that from a company like Disney
