Need some advice. We are booked in a secret porthole room (and thrilled). BUT I discovered that there are still secret balcony rooms available for this cruise. The price difference would be about $1,200 more...is it worth it to have the balcony (slightly obstructed but getting a category 6 for category 7 pricing)???

Thanks!

These are the ones that only hold up to 3 passengers right? I think I looked into this and we weren't eligible since we have 4 people. Personally, when DH & I cruise alone, we go balcony. We've only taken the kids on Disney and since we were paying for a trip for 4 people, we went inside SPR in 9/05. This trip same deal, inside SPR too! Looks like all the SPR holders are on the Dis! Anyway, since Disney prices are already high, we've opted to go with the SPR route. But, I'm thinking when we take the kids on other cruiselines whose rates are cheaper, we'll go back to the balcony. I absolutely love and miss my balcony when I don't have it!

My friend who might come on the cruise wants to know if they will accommodate her need for a gluten free diet? I said probably but do any of you know?

Back from a five-day RCCL Eastern Caribbean cruise. Nice to get another taste of the Caribbean cruise experience, but it also reinforced that RCCL doesn't hold a candle to DCL in terms of customer service.

Yes, please tell us about it when you return, I'm curious both abot the ship and about the experience of spending so many days at sea, weather wise, activity-wise etc... We hope to do that cruise some day, when we retire that is!

It's just going to be my wife and I (no kids). I'll let you know...we get back on July 2.

HI all,

We are thinking of taking this cruise, havent booked yet,
Hope you don't mind if I lurk here for a while.

I like to learn more about this cruise

Hey everyone!!! Just checking in. One reason we booked in August was I read on here some postings of last time Disney did the western lots of people said the water was too cold in april/may/june. But, now when I do weather searches, I see 90's as typical temperature for August. Is it going to be deathly hot on this cruise? I mean...is that why none of the other cruiselines do this itinerary in August?

It IS very hot in August down there. We did the same itinerary on Carnival last August. But we just chose excursions that were on or near water. I suppose if you went inland and did a ziplines excursion or something like that it would be uncomfortable. But I LOVED the heat and the water was so warm I swam more than I usually do in the ocean. (Stone Island in Mazatlan is a good place to go because it is a few degrees cooler than the mainland.)

On board the ship, we found we could sit out on our balcony at night and not even need a sweater. I thought it was heavenly. During the day, on deck I did not find it exceptionally hot.
