Man audiobooks are crazy expensive.... I love hearing Harry Potter on audiobook but my cds r sooo scratched. I cant upload them to my itunes so I thought, oh well look for it on Itunes. Well Itunes has it but its abridged.... seriously? pay 40dollars for a book thats abridged?!?!? So I am waiting for my next barnes and nobel discount code and ordering new cds and putting them on my itunes... Still expensive but at least I get the whole book!

Check them out from your local library and download them to your iTunes.

That is what I do.

I also agree that the HP audiobooks are amazing!

Why can't you put your Harry Potter books on your iPod? I did - I love audiobooks and the HP books are the ones that really got me started on listening to books.

I use audible.com with a monthly subscription. I get one "point" (usually equates to one book) per month for $14.95. I usually listen to one per month so it works out well!

You can easily import cds into iTunes and mark them as audiobooks. If you google "how to import an audiobook cd into iTunes" you will find numerous sites with the instructions.

I usually import the Library audiobooks into my iTunes also - most importantly I don't want to take the chance of scratching the Library CDs because as you said they are crazy expensive to replace and I don't want to get hit with the bill. Also, I like to listen to books as I walk in the mornings and cds are impractical for that use.

I have an app on my iPhone called Bookmark which I consider almost a must if you want to listen to audiobooks via an iPhone/iTouch etc.

unfortunatly the library here does not have the harry potter books I asked to do an interlibrary exchange and the librarian said "we dont do that"
And audible dosen't have the potter series.


I did try and put my cds onto my itunes but they are soooo scratched it didn't work.

I hope barnes and noble come out with a code soon so I can order at least #1 and then import them onto my itunes!
