ATV tour and beach break (CZ60/61), Cozumel - question

Have you done this excursion?

The "know before you go" says, "On this tour guests will get wet and muddy. It is recommended to bring a change of clothes." How dirty do you get? Is this a bring washable shoes, you'll be a mess excursion?

We're currently booked for the Speed Boat excursion (CZ32), but since my 17 year old won't be able to drive the speed boat, I'm looking at the ATV one because you only have to be 16 to drive. I wonder how these two compare?

we did the CZ 61 excursion Dec 2018. DD21 DS19 and myself. Drove ATV's on a dirt & gravel/stone path. This was a lot of fun, we did not get wet & muddy, full of dust though, they give a bandana. If I recall, we had to wear sneakers, closed shoes, DD & I had leggings & tshirt, DS jeans & tshirt. kept other cloths & towels in backpacks.
There is a tour guide at the beginning & end of ATV line. basically follow the leader at a fast pace, stopped at several spots for picture taking. About an hour driving ATV's then took a van to the beach.
Beach was beautiful, I don't think we were at the same beach that is now on DCL excursion description, if it is, they have added a lot. I don't remember the water slide or pool shown in the pictures. The beach we went to had plenty of lounge chairs included and other things in the water. We did not eat from the open buffet, just don't care for food that has been sitting out in the open hot air, but many from our excursion did. The beach did have a bar, got buckets of beer, can use American $. Beach time was about 1.5hrs, plenty for us.
For us a 4+ hr excursion is enough, including the time to meet & get off ship.
I would recommend this excursion, and would do it again

It actually looks like a water park, not just a beach. It does say that the umbrella is not included, which could be a deal-breaker in the hot sun.

We did the Speed Boat Excursion our last trip. It was also a follow the leader type thing. It was fun but you get tossed around a lot and very wet.

So wear your bathing suit, not clothes and bring a waterproof bad with your towels and stuff?
